  1. 1. Use a guide. In fact, use multiple guides. A few guides for pairings, a guide or two on strategies for each chapter, guides on main mechanics of them game. You need to use these, I was in a similar position to you (I had admittedly played a few more FE games, namely Fates) and lets just say my first run crashed and burned. Here are a few sources to use.

    https://www.fireemblemwod.com/

This one is in Spanish, and Google Translate isn't perfect, but they have general strategies, and maps with reinforcements and enemy placements shown.

These two are by Mek(k)kah, a pretty reliable source. Just don't pair Ayra with Dew, promise me that. It doesn't really end well. While you can play with any pairings, some are more fun than others.

This is a pretty decent Gamefaqs guide.

A quick google search will bring you more results. There are also some Youtube videos (If you ever go on to Thracia 776, ModelOmega has a full guide to every chapter in that game, and while he does make a few mistakes, it's overall reliable and helped me a lot with Thracia, as well as just being a fun watch)

    2. Cav < Everyone not mounted

This is Horse Emblem, the game. Some units, like Lachesis (which has an R instead of an L in the latest translation patch for whatever reason), Leif, and Seliph gain horses on promotion, so level them up fast. You need a mount to get around in this game, since maps are so absurdly huge.

    3. Repair and Arena. I'm combining these two because they happen at the same place. You don't really buy new weapons in this game, you repair old ones. Also, you never gain weapon ranks unless you promote, so you're stuck with a C in lances if that's what you have at base. You can buy some weapons, but those are at most 4 per chapter (which isn't a lot, one of each type). Also gold isn't shared, and that's where the Arena comes in. The arena has a finite number of units to battle with, but you don't die if you lose in the arena. That unit is only left at 1 hp, but they do lose that turn. So grinding is pretty easy, until you reach that one unit that you can't pass, normally the last one. Weapons do lose durability during the Arena, so keep that in mind.

Anything else important can be seen on the guides, or other people will probably add onto this.

  2. Say "What, that isn't mine. It must be the dog's collection." While saying this I am grabbing a poison that both knocks my parents out for 30 minutes, and makes them forget the last however-many minutes, inject them with it, and then find a better place to hide that hentai collection

You really want a grilled cheese sandwich, but making one will destroy the universe.

What? Her being the worst Pegasus Knight in Echoes isn't enough?

I thought Faye was the worst Pegasus Knight, followed by Est due to her late join time. Sure, she isn't the best, but she's far from the worst.

Leo, Takumi, Oboro, Shiro, and Mozu?

More like Mozu, Xander (but only the Xander in supports, not from the story), Nyx, Leo, and, uh, Jakob I guess. Don't get me wrong, I like most of Fates cast (Felicia is my first and current waifu), but most of them aren't that good. Maybe some of the child units are good, I dunno. Never actually use them.

Lana, aka the only FE4 character worth caring about

Hey, don't diss Arvis like that. That man is a saint, and brings the total amount of characters to care for up to 2. Also a lot of other characters like Sigurd, and Sigurd, and also Sigurd

As for the character, easily Shinon to Shadow Dragon/New Mystery. I just kinda see him be a dick to everyone.

  4. I really like the way they handled grinding. The higher difficulty you go, the more it costs you, since you won't be able to re-cooperate the costs, as opposed to Gaiden, Echoes, Fates, and Sacred Stones where there was only gain to be had in grinding. In Awakening you'll lose money and weapon uses, that or barely gain money but still lose a lot of weapon uses. Although for me that just meant use Chrom to weaken the enemies to a stupid degree then pick them off with my other units.

  5. Finally got time to continue writing these songs. Next song is "Recruitment" with Lex (L), Avel (AV), and Arvis (AR). Sigurd comes in as well, represented by (S)

    Reinforcements

    Single bass note

L - Av-el come on our friends are stan-ding right there

AV - Sir Lex please just slow down, we've been marching so long

L - Jeez boy it's not that hard but

L - If we must stop

    AV - Yes we must

L - Here should be fine

AV - But what about the

    Together

L - Bandits? Oh ho this will be in-ter-es-ting, just take my axe and SWING

AV - Bandits? Looting, raiding, how bar-baric. light a fi-i-ire and BURN

Spotlight shifts from Lex and Avel to Arvis

AR - There goes my bro-ther off to fight a damned war that, he wasn't invited to.

Spotlight shines on both of them, as Lex and Avel bicker

AR - If I must help

    L - Head westward.

    AR- Can't pick a side

    AV - No eastward

AR - Plans un-hinging I must find a way to insure that my he survives

L + AV - Fine split up and take them from all sides that they all die.

    L - Ho Sigurd

    S -  What's up friend?

L - Fighting on in the end

    S - I cannot thank you enough

AV - Hey I'm here too.

    S - Yes you are

    AV - Noble and true

S+L - Not a doubt in my mind

AV - use my powers to ensure that victory occurs with Lex too.

S + L - Fight on with the goals combined of Lords who are out to prove.

    Song comes to a close

    AR - Lord Sigurd!

S - Lord Arvis, whatever are you doing so far from Castle (forgot its name)?

AR - Well someone needs took keep an eye on Avel, although I can't stay here long.

S - No need to bother, I'll keep a close eye on the boy.

AR - My gratitude is immeasurable, please take this sword as thanks for the further care of him.

S -  Is this a Silver Sword? You flatter me Lord Arvis, this sword is far too pristine for a prince lowly as I.

AR -  Nonsense Sir Sigurd, take it with good faith, I'll be off now, best of luck with Verdane.

    Arvis walks offstage

S - Arvis, such a weird fellow. Can't focus on him now, there are bandit pouring out of that castle, even with the boosted manpower I don't think it'll be enough to handle it. If only Quan and Ethlin were here, they always have my back.

Ethlin: Brother, don't think that now is any different.
