Well from what I know, in America (please correct me if I am wrong) patients have to pay for the medical health fees. I recently watched a programme on the BBC explaining that America has the advanced medical technology, but paitents are not able to afford the health insurance. The EU system is not perfect. There are some flaws mainly within the drug sector but nearly everyone is able to get some form of treatment.

Well Obama is going to sort out the health care in America. I wonder if he manages to pull it off. Though America health care system is rubbish compared to the EU where they have the NHS, that is controlled by the government.

Well not sure in America but in the UK. If two couple get married, they get automatic rights stated within the Act of Parliament. I can't remember the name of the act. This includes stuff like Wills, benefits etc If not, then you need to apply for a long procedure to obtain those legal rights like a married couple. Its very expensieve this procedure. This depends on what legal rights your applying for. Plus strangely in the UK, married couples have a higher chance of getting employed O_o I learnt that in statitics....
