  1. You mean in the current roster we have now or who could show up in the future?
  2. In regards to the character, I think they look great. Byleth utlizing a sword, lance, axe, and bow all in their moveset is actually something I really like. Though the Final Smash could use a bit of work. In regards to this "fiasco" we're in, same old shit. I'm willing to bet $50 that if FP5 wasn't Byleth and was someone else, there would still be people upset. Sword and Shield Pokemon? People would cry about "Pokemon Overrepresentation" and bring up contraversy surrouding Gen 8. Dante from Devil May Cry? People would whine about how much of a "generic swordsman" he is and the fact that he has little to no history with Nintendo. Ryu Hayabusa? People would say he's an "irrelevent sword fighter". KOS-MOS? "Literally who even is this bitch?" A hard fact I've had to learn is that the Super Smash Bros community has been, and always will be, one of the most unsatisfiable video game communities on the face of the planet. People were mad about Hero for weilding a sword, people were mad about Terry because "nobody knows who he is", and now people are mad about Byleth for being a Fire Emblem character. It's one of the many reason why I don't take what a good majority of these people say seriously. You don't like Byleth? Fine. Just don't come crying to me about it, because I won't care. I haven't cared for years, and I'm not about to start now.
  3. Let it never said that Smash Bros hasn't become the most unpredictable fighting game ever. Well, Byleth is in Smash Ultimate. Hate it or love it, they're in now. You ask me, I'm not nearly as upest with Byleth as some other folks are. Mainly becasue: I like they're moveset I actually like the game they're from We've got six more fighters on the way Still, the salt has been real. Real enough to the point where people are canning friendships over it (Belive me I know), and honestly I think some people are going overboard. Can it be argued that Byleth was a rather "meh" way to end this fighter's pass? Yes. Is this the "absolute worst possible thing to have ever happend to Smash Bros"? Hell no. Not even close. Anyways, Byleth aside, six more fighters. Holy shit. I cannot believe we are actually getting six more fighters. I was expecting maybe at leas 3 or 4 more. But no, we're getting six. The ride is nowhere even close to being finished, and I fucking love it.
  4. I have. It's stupid. This is Olypmic Gold Medal levels of Mental Gymnastics here. That doesn't make all the characters the same. Yes, many characters can do that, but that doesn't mean it's the optimal strategy. Tell that to all of the professional Smash players and see how far that gets you pal. Now if you're done spitting takes that only a Tumbrl account would agree with, I ain't wasting time with this nonsense.
  5. So, all of the other movesets are "fake" to you. Nevermind that they're original. Nevermind that they fit the character they're attached to. Nevermind that they're nowhere even near close to being "clone material". Nevermind that the developer worked himself to injury to make these movesets. They're "fake". I'm done. I've heard bad arugements against Smash before, but this is by far the dumbest I've ever heard.
  6. Bullshit. Plenty of fighters in Smash have their own unique moveset in the game. Only ones that are "the same" are the echo fighters, the two other Links, and Dr. Mario. So that's like, what, 10 out the current 82 fighters in Smash Ultimate? No offense, but I don't know where you got the idea that all of them are somehow "the same". Regarding the whole "Sword Stigma" Argument, I've said time and time again it's makes no sense. Just because a character fights with a sword doesn't mean he/she can't offer up a good moveset. That goes for nearly every other character that has been suggested for Smash.
  7. Conquest’s map design is good for the first half. The minute the invisible world gets introduced, it all goes downhill.
  8. Some dude on a Smash discord server actually tried to tell me Dante from Devil May Cry would be a shitty pick because "Devil May Cry has had no impact on gaming". I'm sorry, what? If Devil May Cry had no impact on gaming, then why are God of War and Bayonetta a thing?
  9. As cool as the idea is, I don't think Astral Chain was gonna get into Smash to begin with.
  10. So I beat Witcher 1. It's....not good. It's aged about as well as a rotting potato if you ask me. Hopefully Witchers 2 and 3 are much better.
  11. Probably very well known when it comes to SRPGs, but as a whole we're certainly no Halo.
  12. If they bring a satisfying conclusion to the story of the game, then yes. If they're handled like Fire Emblem Fates Revelation, then no.
  13. It doesn't make sense that Baby Yoda is able to use the Force at his age either, but at least he's adorable. Also "frothing at the mouth"? Really dude? So Rey hearing about the Force suddenly lets her use it a good as she did? I guess if I hear about fencing long enough, I guess I'll be an expert at it then. By the way, that's also Luke's first real use of the Force. Luke would have never made that shot if he wasn't a good enough pilot as stated in the film. "It's not impossible. I used to bullseye womp rats in my T-16 back home. They're not bigger than two meters". The Force was only supplemental to him blowing up the Death Star, not the entire cause. Believing in the Force is one thing, being skilled and trained at it is another. Even still, having Luke's skill of lightsaber combat is still more skilled as opposed to someone who literally just picked up the weapon in the first time in their lives. It's like pitting a villager in Fire Emblem who has never fought before in war against a general who's fought in and lead a war for 4 years straight, and the villager wins. It makes no sense. Jedi and Sith have a whole swordplay style both orders learn from-The Forms. Each Form is it's own specific style of swordfighting. An again, it takes training to master one of them. All Rey has at this point is fighting scavengers with a metal pole. A scavenger whose fighting style is essentially beating people with a staff vs an apprentice of the Sith Order that specializes in it's specific form of lightsaber combat. Again, it makes no sense. That wound hurt, but it didn't cripple Kylo to the point where it put him out of commission. He still could fight. *sigh* It's clear that you and I aren't going to agree on Rey as a whole, probably never, so for the sake of this thread not turning into a slap fight between you and me over a fictional character, I think it's best if we both do the civil thing and agree to disagree.
  14. I liked The Old Republic. It's one of the better MMOs I've played in recent memory. The current Onslaught expansion is kinda meh though.
  15. No. They're only similar in the crossover aspect and nothing else.
  16. “Basic as fuck Force Powers” that still require knowledge and training to use, neither of which Rey gained neared TFA. If you seriously think someone in the Star Wars universe can just lift people up with The Force as if it was easy as lifting their finger, you’re not as familiar with the Star Wars world as you think you are. Kylo Ren was stated to have been trained by Luke Skywalker himself and successfully staged an uprising against his order. He may not be Darth Vader, but Ren was still a somewhat skilled Sith apprentice. And knowledge with melee weapons won’t get you anywhere with a lightsaber, because wielding a metal pole and wielding a lightsaber are two very different things in Star Wars. By logic, Rey should not have won that fight against Ren, wound or no wound. But alas here we are.
  17. She mastered the Force with absolutely zero training and beat Kylo Ren in a lightsaber duel-again, with absolutely zero training. She's like someone playing a Star Wars video game, and using all of the cheat codes to win. It's ridiculous.
  18. Shadow Dragon: Marth and Cedea Binding Blade: Uhhh... and Liliana Blazing Sword: Hector and Florina Sacred Stones: Joshua and L'arachel Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn: Ike and Titania Awakening Gen 1: *insert Good Fellas laugh here* Awakening Gen 2: Lucina and Inigo Fates Gen 1: Laslow and Charolette Fates Gen 2: *insert Good Fellas laugh here* Echoes: *insert Good Fellas laugh here* Three Houses: Dimitri and a very close tie between Dorothea and Shimir
  19. Since I've got Star Wars video games on the brain, I'd like to ask everyone here what your favorite Star Wars games are that you've played? I'll go first: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy: After nearly 8 years since I found this game, it's still my favorite Star Wars game to play to this day. It may have a basic plot line, but what the game lacks in writing, it makes up for it in spades with it's gameplay. It has my favorite lightsaber combat in any Star Wars game, and multiplayer was a ton of fun. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a game that makes you really feel like you're a Jedi. Jedi Fallen Order: I don't think anyone expected this game to be as good as ended up being, myself included. But I was glad to be proven wrong. In addition to a solid plot and cast of characters, the game combines great exploration and lore hunting with really stellar combat, not to mention amazing customization options. My only gripe is the graphics can experience lag and pop in at some points, but beyond that, this is a really great game. Knights of The Old Republic I and II: It's Knights of The Old Republic. What else do I need to say other than these are fantastic RPGs? Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight: My second favorite title to come out of the Jedi Knight line of Star Wars games. It's a super fun old school FPS that's fun to go back and play. Not to mention, it has Kyle Katarn as the protagonist, probably on of my all time favorite Star Wars characters. Battlefront II (2005): My childhood Star Wars title right here. I spend practically hours playing this game when I was young. It very nearly captures the epic feeling of a battle in the Star Wars universe.
  20. Doomguy from Doom Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden 2B from Nier Automata Dante from Devil May Cry Yuri from Tales of Vesperia KOS MOS from Xenosaga Howard from Astral Chain Travis Touchdown from No More Heroes Kiryu from Yakuza Jin from Tekken
