  1. First staff user wins, I suppose. With his moustache, he should really be a paladin. 6/10
  2. And to think I was worried about getting stuck with bad units... Ralph and Amalda. And now my team's complete, I can start.
  3. (FE4) Political Draft finished in 313 turns. I'm never playing FE4 again as long as I live... for three months.
  4. Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale A tale of a fateful knight; The grey-haired man of Frelia Renowned for his might. Strength and defense are through the roof On promotion he improves; Gains weapon triangle control And 2 extra move. But his speed is mediocre He's doubled all the time; His move's still bad, and with his con He often falls behind. Overall, he's just not worth it There are better options; Than Gilliam For your Great Knight needs Like Duracell, Kyle as well There's also Forde, and all the rest Right here on Gilliam's Isle! 3/10
  5. Yes, in general. @Furetchen: No worries. I was pretty ambiguous anyway.
  6. Sorry, that part wasn't directed at you. I merged your reply with KoT's because you were saying basically the same thing, then added a bit for DE because he ninja'd my reply.
  7. That makes me feel better, actually :). At least I know I'm doing it right, then. The scary thing is, Ronan's recruitment and availability make him automatically better then about 90% of the picks left.
  8. I'm not happy about the special event village rule, mostly since I'm the only one who doesn't benefit but I'll accept it. Tanya and Robert. Bowlock = fun times.
  9. Discouraged, not banned. 6.5 isn't a bad score by any means. Especially when he's being propped up by 9+ scores from about 97% of the others. No arguments with any of that, but years of Pokemon have infused me with a "variety is the spice of life" attitude, and given the choice between Seth and Franz, and say, Seth and Joshua, I'll always choose the latter, unless I'm doing an LTC run and need the extra move. EDIT: ITT: No cav spam = Idiotic
  10. Me and my big mouth. I was waiting for clarification about chapter 3, but then I realised Marty's gone, so it doesn't change a thing. Sleuf and Eyrios.
  11. On a similar note, can undrafted characters deliver kids to the villages in chapter 3? I thought he'd survive a lot longer Have fun getting Nanna to chez Hannibal.
  12. You forgot blood pact! Though that was more manipulation than control...
  13. Frankly, I think he's overshadowed by Seth. You can stomp through the first part of the game with Seth, and by the time you need to use other units, he's rather underlevelled. It's not a very strong argument, and I know I'm ignoring his many good points, primarily that he basically becomes a second Seth that makes Seth stronger, but I think his class means he should be in direct competition with Seth for a place. 6.5/10
  14. No more than 4 turns per chapter; besides, FE5 isn't the easiest game to flyskip. I guess their turn-saving potential is better than most of the units left, though. Also, dropping Sara, taking Pahn instead. Doing research helps.
  15. Best: Gheb/Izuka some people have odd logic. Worst: Ike/Soren
  16. You don't need a flier; Thracia can be beaten without fliers, or at least I hope so, cos otherwise I'm SOL. Fred and actually Pahn
  17. Halvan. Can't edit posts on phone.
  18. How can you randomly assign a bad unit?... Galvan and Nanna
  19. Chapter 10 - 22 For an army supposedly caught on the back foot, they sure can call reinforcements quickly. A mad rush to the entrance, both to get the items and to avoid a rampaging horde of cavalry. Wolf, Cain and Navarre held off that army, Wolf getting a ton C and W experience. This left the northern squad short of firepower appropriate for Hero-killing, so it took a while for him to go down. The best axe self-recruited, and the armor-killing units killed the boss squad. 20. Reading death quotes is depressing. Best: "Trouble yourself not, fair queen. If Bastian must pass into bleak death's domain, it will be from wounds more dire by far. However, my body desires to lay down and rest, so I beg of you your pardon." - Bastian Worst: "Uuh... W, wait... ...spare my life..." - Shagaal
  21. How did I know those three would go first? Fergus and Asvel.
  22. Chapter 8 - 11 Two newbies in this chapter, one decent, one... not so much. Navarre held the front lines, with Barst and Abel backing him up. Cain relieved Navarre, and then when the time was right, Marth, Caesar and the rest broke through. Briefly considered grinding against the remaining enemies while Marth attacked the throne, but five aggressive reinforcements per turn made it a bad idea. I'll save the grinding for people who need it. Chapter 9 - 13 Getting the Wyrmslayer weapon is no problem... if you have a flier. So, Mannu went down the old-fashioned way; with tomes. Marth detoured to get the Silver Bow.
