  1. I'm a comparatively new player; the first GHB I was able to actually win ANY difficulty was... I forget if the re-run of Narcian or Michalis was first. I think Narcian. Regardless. My point is, I'm not at the point where I'm willing to tackle Infernal yet. But I'm proud of myself: I was able to, after much trial and error, take down Lunatic difficulty. 3* Level 35 Olivia (base kit, no inheritance) 4* Cordelia, again with Base kit as high as 4* can get. +atk -def 5* Cherche, one of my first pulls as a 3*. I've put work into her: Brave Axe+, Bonfire, Deathblow, Drag Back, and her base Fortify Defense (which ALMOST screwed me over, but not quite) +spd -res I don't care if her boon isn't optimal. She's gotten me out of SO much shit. 5* Leon with base kit, +HP -spd. Very lucky pull; literally my first colorless pull from his focus banner. I had Cherche (and the team) eat the Savage Blow hit from the Firesweep on the first turn so that I could smack him with Cherche and back her out on my next turn, leaving Cordelia to murder the red mage. Leon started the second turn next to Olivia (and out of Panic Ploy) to oneshot the axe flier. The next turn or two, he spent letting the archer shoot at him while everyone else stayed out of range; here's where Cherche's Fortify Defense almost screwed me; Leon was sitting in Panic Ploy, and the first attack by the enemy archer benefited from a reversed Fortify Defense; Leon survived the second (no stat alterations this turn) with 1 HP. Meanwhile, Cordelia sat around while Cherche Brave Axe'd the sword-flier reinforcement in the face, killing it thanks to a Bonfire proc. With Leon at 1 HP, it's time to act. First, he takes out the Firesweep Lance flier that's moved in to his south, then Olivia lets him finish off the archer (the order of these two doesn't really matter), then Cherche nukes the axe flier that moved in from the top right corner. At some point during or after this, Cordelia nukes the Sword Cav reinforcement from the bottom left after running out of his attack range so as to not get hit first. After that, it's Cherche's show; she flies north, just out of the new Red Mage Cav's range, while Cordelia and Leon just get the hell out of dodge. Once the red mage and the green axe cav move up, Cherche attacks the red cav from the side, and Drag Back places her just within range for a dance from Olivia to let her finish off the Axe Cav. I felt so good about it. First time I've beaten a Lunatic GHB without looking at other guides and suggestions. Loooots of trial and error, and it took quite a while to think of using an archer. Longer than I care to admit >_>;
  2. Happy Birthday!!! (again)

  3. Happy Birthday!!! (again)

  4. It's implied that Myrmidons in general are Sacaeans, just like Nomads. Myrmidons have more of a tendency to wander than the archers of the plains, honing their skills, and thus are easier to find as Mercenaries across the land. Hell, Guy's excuse for leaving, IIRC, was because he was a poor archer and wanted to hone his skills to prove himself.
  5. Pretty much. To give you an idea, I direct people to this delightful little fact sheet about PETA. Yes, it quotes sources at the bottom.
  6. Yeah, honestly, the characters who haven't already been given aged portraits really don't need them. Rebecca changed primarily because she needed new clothes to fit her new position - an archer in official service to Pherae wearing the same clothes she wore as, to put it bluntly, a country bumpkin? No. Nino changed because she was very young. Puberty hit. Lowen bulked up a little and grew some facial hair because THAT'S ALL THAT WOULD CHANGE. I mean really, take a picture of someone who's 23. Look at a picture of them from when they were 20. They're going to look pretty damn similar. I know for me, the only way you can really tell is the background in the photo. I haven't done anything new with my hair in years. The only difference visible in any photo of me is background, pose, and clothes over the past few years. Unless it's decided that characters who haven't been aged yet are getting a new wardrobe, leave them alone. 3 years is NOT that long.
  7. Eh, the only time I like allied soldiers at all in Fire Emblem games is when they're weakening enemies enough to help me get kills, but aren't killing anything. As far as I'm concerned, an enemy killed by anything other than the color blue is wasted exp.
  8. I've had these sitting around for a while. James Marshall as a Gym Leader (in the early 40's or so, I'd say), and as a Champion. I realize this is supposed to be 5th gen, but what can I say, Marshall's from Kanto (and hasn't been to Unova <.<) [spoiler=Kinda big. Gym Leader] TM: Probably Overheat or Flamethrower. --- [spoiler=also kinda big. Champion]
  9. The rat must die Forever death kill maim burn KILL MAIM BURN
  10. I will say that for the Matthew one, there is not a single misleading or pointless word in that hint - when confused, I find checking out my enemies is a good place to start.
  11. The Jake achievement is one of the strange bugged ones. You're SUPPOSED to get it by finding him in every main tale (ie, not Merlinus' Douglas' or Rath's). Instead it unlocks earlier, but when talked to he just says his Pherae dialogue.
  12. Just a few random things I did a little while ago I never bothered to put up here: The final result of the above animation attempts. I threw Brandon into a Fire Emblem RP on another site that actually had a stat system and a campaign going and everything. I decided to make a big entry (though I did promise not to do something like that again; I sorta made the GM uncomfortable <.<). And just because I felt like it, sprites for some of the portraits I've been putting up: : : : The first two guys were for pure flavor and just screwing around to make sprites that really matched the portrait. I specifically went in creating something had no intention of EVER animating. The swordsman, I might go back one day and try something. If I'm feeling spectacularly brave and masochistic.
  13. Fell into a trans-dimensional vortex. Funky Kong found it, then fired it out of his Boot-zooka at K.Rool at the end of DK64.
  14. Actually, the reason I asked about the Hero Crest was because it was pretty much the only thing I didn't have at that point.
