Yes, no game element should be detrimental to the rest of the game. As much as I loved Fates, allowing for all chars to support pretty much all chars made little sense. EDIT: Also, more gay options if there are relationships.

I love dating and S supports. I want that in the new game but without children units. That plot made very little sense in Fates. But I love the human element of supports and relationship building. This would be the best of both worlds.

Mixed bag. Fates like others mentioned, big oof. Warriors I got the special edition nearly 40% off just a few months after launch. I am not going to be taking any precautions and I'm going to hold onto my money waiting for one to pop up. They did special edition stuff even for Diablo 3 for Switch, so I guarantee we'll be getting something!

SPECIAL EDITION FINGERS CROSSED I mean we got something for Awakening (SE 3DS), Fates (SE Game + SE N3DSXL), Echoes (SE Game + Amiibos), Tokyo Mirage Sessions (SE Game), and Fire Emblem Warriors (SE Game + Amiibos). I am going to SCREAM if we don't get something for this!!! Mostly because I stupidly didn't pre-order on amazon back when they had the 20% off preorder discount... because I didn't know they wouldn't charge you until release and you could cancel anytime. Anyways I am going to be living on the internet every day so that I don't miss out like I did on Fates.
