Where can I find chapters 66 and onward of the FE4 manga?
Bagfisch replied to lilraven's topic in NES and SNES Era
You don't. As far as I know the (new) translation project is on hold (again). -
FE4 & 5 Mechanics you want to see in Three Houses
Bagfisch replied to BriForABri's topic in NES and SNES Era
Thracia had great and interesting features such as capturing, Leader stars, growths for Con and Mov, Stamina, dismounting etc. please for the love of Kaga / Naga they should stay in Thracia. Especially Minimum/maximum Hit, missing staves, infinite statuses, Poison Ballista (how?), universal 20 caps, Mag as Res, pitch black fog of war and the Thief Staff can all rot in FE hell -
Favorite aspects about each FE you've played
Bagfisch replied to Ottservia's topic in General Fire Emblem
FE4: I love the inheritance mechanic and with it the shipping wars, also unbreakable if limited weapons FE5: All those tiny mechanics I would hate if they were a staple of the series make Thracia unique. Capturing, Exhaustion, Con and Mov per Level up you name it. FE6: Binding Blade is great in providing a sense of greatness with the huge amount of units that you get and the disproportianally large maps. FE7: Very much the core of the series with interesting and viable characters throughout. FE8: Branching promotions are just another good reason the replay the game. FE9: Great core gameplay with skills and laguz to mix it up FE10: Just look at the size of this lad FE11: Disgustingly Vanilla FE12: An excellent mix of modern UI and Core Gameplay and just the right amount of difficulty FE13: Has the best aftergame content of the series and pair up is a great feature FE14: Fixed pair up, unlimeted weapons, Conquest has amazing and innovative gameplay FE15: Voice Acting is great and the explorable dungeons are a great start. -
How would you rank the Fire Emblem Continents?
Bagfisch replied to Etrurian emperor's topic in General Fire Emblem
1. Jugdral - I love Jugdral and it's political manouvering and holy (incest) eugenics and in terms of Locations it is more fleshed out than the other continents having different countries with different geography and unit compsition. Also I find Generation 1 to be the best story in the series which is supported by the actually existing backstory of the continent instead of ancient calamity few thousand years ago and/or dragons and something 2. Tellius - The fantasy racism and political dynamic of radiant dawn is what makes Tellius for me (even though the blood pact is still a pretty shite plot device). I think Tellius suceeds the best in giving the countries a distinct character which goes a little beyond good/bad/ally/neutral. 3.Elibe - Similar to Tellius the characterisation of the different countries gives Elibe some depth that makes it stand out altough FE7 somehow did a better job at that than FE6 4. Valentia - While lacking an interesting number of political entities the backstory and presentation of Zofia and Rigel make Valentia into an acceptable world 5. The Rest (Can't really rank them) - The other Continents in my opinion lack in backstory and politics although they do have redeeming factors. Such as Fateslandia having interesting subfactions and Archanea having a good empire vibe going. -
I mean wouldn't it have been amazing if Corrin would have been proactive in Conquest instead of waiting for the last possible moment to revolt. Like allying himself with the rebellions he put down, then convincing his siblings that their father is a warmongering dick to then declare Civil War and with the help of Hoshido oust Garon from power? That way we have both political intrigue and a way to make amends with the Hoshidan siblings.

Starting FE4 for the first time, and Sigurd's swords confuse me...
Bagfisch replied to Rapha666br's topic in NES and SNES Era
Children are coming from the mother meaning you should pair every female unit you get (except maybe your Dancer) Children are always 2 per female and get all weapons from their main parent they can use and all personal skills (not class skills like pursuit from Swordfighters) Arden is basically useless and the game strongly hints you towards cannon / useful pairings. And make sure Aira/Ayra/Ira is not paired at the beginning of chapter 3. Children inherit 100% of their main parents growth rates and 50% of their other parents growth rates.- 43 replies

Bagfisch replied to Rapha666br's topic in NES and SNES Era
In Fe4 Weapon Balance is basically nonexistant, Swords and Wind Magic trump everything. Also Iron > Steel > Silver is a might increase with no drawbacks whatsoever. Also Blades are stronger but heavier than swords but have their use although they struggle to hit Lance users. I guess I don't need to mention that weight is directly subtracted from speed to make Attack Speed and that negative AS is a thing (otherwise Azel couldn't double the Axefighters)- 43 replies

In my opinion Fire Emblem has always been rather weak when it comes to story. It mostly boils down to flee/defend home, get holy weapon, kill evil Dragon/Emperor/God. Personally I find Fe4 to have the best story as it goes much deeper in terms romance, intrigue, (dynastic) politics and has generally a more darker tragic tone.

[From hack to indie] Path of the Midnight Sun
Bagfisch replied to Alfred Kamon's topic in Fan Projects
Is it normal that that Fa has an End of the world type battle theme or is that a bug. Also, seems like Hellios gains much less Exp, so much for being carried until Weiß arrives. -
