  1. Well either way I just thought it would be interesting to look at the school thing from a different perspective. This whole school mechanic is really new.
  2. I think I would like to play as a student as well. What do you think about a prequel in which we play Byleth as a student? Hear me out: We start with a school whose students comes from all the three Houses, so Byleth has classmates from all Three Houses. Byleth learns the basics of tactics and fighting in class, completes assessments, trains, makes friends with classmates, etc. All of these could be something like a really fleshed out version of the prologue chapters in New Mystery of the Emblem. I expect this to be battle based, where the class would split into two teams and fight each other. This way, Byleth/player can level up all the characters during the classroom period. Interactions (like Awakening barracks) would be about school, but the supports would be about the character's personality (like how supports usually are). The final assessment would be an expedition to this territory where they must defeat some enemies to pass the test. Of course, Byleth would be chosen as commander, by some contest, a flip of the coin, or whatever shenanigans. I imagine this to be something like Blazing Sword where Byleth is given a ranking in terms of tactics, funds, survival, etc... Byleth's teacher tells the students that the enemies are actors hired to fight the students, so obviously Byleth et co. defeats these enemies and comes out top. Little do they know that the enemies are not actors and that the students literally started a conflict. They realise that the evil mastermind is actually their teacher. But because the class is made up of all three houses, each student wants to stay loyal to their own house and splits up. This can create a lot of tension and unease amongst the characters, since they were soldiers and trained together (think Katarina). I don't want this to be something like Fates where you have to recruit people as the chapter progresses, but rather something like the old games where you recruit based on certain conditions, like talking to the recruitee with a certain character. I'm not really sure what would happen after that, but Byleth would try to stymie the conflict. I don't think Byleth should be successful, because conflict is not so easy to solve. Byleth should at least defeat the evil teacher, though. Afterwards, Byleth becomes a teacher himself to help alleviate the conflict in Three Houses. I'm not quite sure what the tension is in Three Houses, but whatever happens to young Byleth would translate into Three Houses. In other words, I just think it would be fun to play as both a student and a teacher, seeing Byleth's maturity and development, and flesh out the lore a little bit.
  3. Ooooh! Add mine please! I got really lucky this afternoon when I spent 690 orbs to get all 11 copies of this wonderful +10. Feh has blessed me with a Goddess Icon! Summoner support is only C because I just got her, but you bet it would be S soon!
  4. I think I should move this post to the pull thread. Can I do that, or is that not allowed?
  5. I'm a really lucky girl today! This summoning session is my third time summoning since I only started three months ago. I saved up 755 orbs and only ended up spending 690 to get my +10 F!Morgan! I really like Morgan because of Awakening, so I'm sad to see that she's so slow. So I chose a +Spd for her because I think it would be helpful. Anyways, any ideas on how to build my new Morgan? I know 690 orbs is less than half what it usually takes to pull a +10, so I'm feeling really happy. I sniped blue, but even so I got some really nice non-blue pitybreakers. My pitybreakers: Normal Hector +Res/-Spd Surtr +Def/-Atk Shigure +Spd/-Def Ylgr +Def/-Atk Ophelia Neutral (Another) Ylgr +Def/-Spd I would probably fodder of Ylgr for Chill Spd or whatever. Not sure what to do with Ophelia (Rally Up Atk fodder?). Not sure what to do with Shigure either. And is my Surtr viable with -Atk?
  6. Ditto here. I already have an L!Azura, any tips on what to do with an extra?
  7. Upon listening to the sounds again with headphones, I realise that I have been so wrong. I update the pitches here: For reference from lowest pitch to highest: Colour - Note Colourless - A Red - B flat Blue - C sharp Green - E flat So Green is indeed the highest note. I'm really, really sorry @Anacybele you were right! I really have no excuses. Okay, so I'm quite confident with these pitches. If it is the case that the pitches would indicate colour, and you are trying to pull for either Colourless or Red, you can hold up the sounds to a tuner on your computer (just type pitch tuner on Google), and if it gives an A, its colourless, if B flat then Red. This might help!
  8. This might be true. This table thing was what I meant by the object/class container. Either way, it's a quick and easy fix (to our disadvantage but whatever).
  9. Is that so? But Echoes (don't know about Gaiden) has the three Pegasus Sisters, and that's an undeniable connection to the Shadow Dragon games.
  10. Well all they have to do is programme the golden orbs to output the sound of a, let's say, green orb so all golden orbs have the same sound. It will be quite easy. Should only be one extra line of code within the "golden orb" object class.
  11. Alm by personality maybe? But what kind of farmer would realistically become the leader of a rebel army? And it's kind of implied that he's ready to take up the Zofian throne if need be; Gray and Tobin comments on how Alm may have to be King when the war ends. I like Alm, but I still can't get my head around how he is just thrown into a position of power. It works for the game, and it works for the "boosting morale" mentality, but realistically in real life? Not so much. May we consider Leo or Takumi? Both are very similar. They throw fits, feel overshadowed, kind of snobby, kind of fussy...
  12. Ooof. This might be totally possible and a very clever way of eliminating sound identification. I also think it might be possible that the four orbs will not be different colours if it is randomized like in normal summoning sessions. So it's possible to get four golden orbs that are "blue", like how during summoning sessions we don't get one of every colour. Thoughts on this?
  13. Yes. I think I might know what's going on here. Be sure not to confuse pitch with timbre. Pitch is the note itself, and timbre is the sound of the note. For example, the same note played on two different instruments will have different timbres because different instruments have different sounds, like an A played on a violin, or an A played on a Flute. The A played on the flute may sound higher because it has a shriller timbre than the A played on a violin. Because you have good hearing, you're probably picking up on the shriller timbre of the Green orb. While Blue is a higher pitch, it has a lower timbre, so it doesn't sound as shrill or jingly. Hope this helps!
  14. You can check with the tuner if you're not too sure. Blue is definitely the highest note. Green sounds similar to Red, and Red sounds similar to Colourless.
  15. @Ice Dragon Lol, it could always be the case that the golden orbs have its own pitch and we cannot differentiate based on sound. Buuuut, in the slim case that it doesn't...? shrugs.
  16. Beware of Colourless, Green, and Red. If any of these colours are your desired pulls, please please please check with this video again instead of relying on memory. Their pitches are very very similar (only one semitone apart)! For reference from lowest pitch to highest: Colour - Note Colourless - A Red - B flat Green - B Blue - C sharp
  17. Oooh! I love the above ideas! Open world adventure (like Breath of the Wild, but your quest is a Fire Emblem storyline), something Visual Novel style... I wonder if we can do something like Nobunaga's Ambition/Pokemon Conquest type game!
  18. @Xenomata @Ice Dragon. Thanks so much for the advice on Yato Corrin. Wow, that buffed Chrom! And I can't want for the 4 slot inheritance update
  19. Not sure I will spend time reading the bios though. I'll just send my units in to rush the enemy.
  20. I think what's lacking about this new artist has something to do with cell-shading. Her cel-shading seems really blocky, as if the "fill" paint tool was used. True, Kozaki used cell shading too, but he also used gradient shading and different "pencil" textures to create a sense of motion. On the other hand, Kurahana seems to be flatter, without much motion or energy. Here we have default Corrin. Though we have obvious cel-shading in the hair and the right side of the body, we also have gradient shading in the hair, the cape, and the armour. Certain watercolour textures on the armour and cape and pencil stroke textures in the cel-shadows give Corrin a more lively look. The pencil strokes are especially helpful because they give some colour diversity in the cel-shadows and also seem to imply the positioning of the source of the light. Not sure about the water-colour textures, but they help a little in defining shape by making it seem less flat. Also notice that Corrin has a lot of subtle shading, like the white in his hair, or the small silver-ish flecks on his right shoulder (our left). I've also put in a few different characters just to show that his art direction is consistent. I'm now going to check the Three Heroes art. Luckily, there is also some gradient shading here, as Claude's skin tone changes around his nose, chin, and neck. But the rest is really flat, especially the clothing. We may be inclined to say that his hair has texture, but I would argue otherwise because the shadow is very clearly two different colours of cel-shading. If his hair wasn't curly, we'll think that it's rather flat. As for the clothes, it lacks texture so it's hard to see any kind of definition. Apart from lacking texture and energy, the three main lords are actually quite good. The flatness may be an artistic choice to give a clean looking portrait. That is not to say, however, that her art style is consistent. Other minor characters are not so lucky to be blessed with the saving-feature of skin-tone gradient shading that renders a character more life-like. Have Hilda, Bernadetta, and Ferdinand as start examples. All three have very minimal texture in terms of gradient shading. That's not so say that the new art is bad. It's quite clean. It's just not as lively or energetic. Perhaps quite a departure from what we expect in a Fire Emblem game, but being in a school-setting, it might make sense that we would want the art direction to be a little calmer and down-to-earth. I personally, am not a fan, but given that Three Houses is an original concept for Fire Emblem, we may need more data and gameplay experience to truly judge the compatibility of the new art.
  21. Oh. So its rather... limited and niche. (and slightly disappointing). Oh well, any recommendations on its use? I quite like the +4!
  22. Question regarding M!Corrin's Yato refine. It says that it gives the buff to supported allies. Does this mean the ally supported with Corrin or allies that have a support with any other character (Support at what rank? Does a random C support rank count)?
  23. Not sure if this was asked before but I'm not bothered to go through all of the 603 pages. Mixed tactics teams? I know what emblem teams are and the such, but I'm still rather confused with what mixed teams are? What's the structure like? One unit with tactics and only two infantry and what's the fourth unit? Tactics is good for bladetomes, right? I also hear something about guidance? Anyways, what's a good example of a mixed team? Thanks!
  24. I have no idea why they wouldn't! It might have to be on some sort of seasonal banner then, like Greil. But I also know there's a huge waitlist for characters to be added into FEH. I'll wait!
