  1. Hello everyone! Ya boi Arden here. So I'm making an FE4-style hack on FEGBAeditor, and I made a bunch of holy weapon sprites for it, and I thought I'd share them all with you! Granted, I'm new at sprite art (like very new) and most of these sprites I made using an incompatible palette and had to drag them through the GBAeditor filter in order to use them in-game, but I hope you all enjoy! I would make a drop box and share them with everyone, but I think I'll wait to make a drop box for the full rom hack. The sprites use different design inspirations. Some are based on their original sprite art, some are based on their concept art, some even use tcg art, although I didn't really use Awakening designs, since I find most of them ugly. I didn't include a Mystletainn sprite cuz I'm still working on it. I don't know why, but I cannot for the life of me make a half-decent looking Mystletainn. Ares is hiding that crap. Pls halp. The List: Balmung uses concept/tcg art, All the magic tomes use in-game sprites, Gae Bolg/ Gungnir use concept art, Helswath uses concept art, Tyrfing is a mix between in-game sprite and concept art, Yewfelle uses in-game sprite, and Valkyrie uses the very specific in-game sprite you see on the holy blood character screen. Edit: Sorry the images are so smol, nothing I can do about that.
  2. Alright, I think I figured it out. Prob gonna stumble around a bit trying to figure out how to apply it, but I think I got it from here. Thanks a million!
  3. I'm currently creating a remake of fe 6 in fe 8. I know that this is already being made by WhydidImakethisaccount, but seeing as how the thread hasn't been updated in at least a year and a half and that the Discord server isn't accepting any more invites, I think it's pretty safe to say that the project is five feet under. I decided to do my own remake like this, but with two versions; one is a 1 to 1 copy, but with branching promotions and drop-able items, and another with my own personal balance patch in mind. I'm using FEGBA Editor, and thankfully transferring data over has been fairly easy. But now I've reached a roadblock. I've been transferring the maps over, and I have the first 8 maps made... But now I can't make anymore. Fe 6 has way more tile sets and templates for making it's levels than fe 8. Unfortunately, FEGBA Editor makes this problem infinitely more complicated than it needs to be. You can't extend the list of potential tile sets, which again, wouldn't be a problem if fe 8 didn't have less tile sets than a game that came out two games before on the same system. Furthermore, changing the tile set of one subset changes the tile sets of the other subsets (Changing the tile set of "Mountainous1 won't change the tile set of say, Fields2, but it will change Mountainous2 and anything else labelled Mountainous). AGAIN: This wouldn't be a problem if the tile set list was bigger, but it at least would be POSSIBLE if this small list wasn't divided up between a few tile sets with like, 3 different variations. (There's actually 5 different palette sets for Fields, like I need five different shades of F***ING GRASS). I was wondering if anyone else had this problem, and if there is a way to fix this. Is there any expert modders out there that can help out yo thicc FE4 boy?
  4. This is looking pretty good! You still need some writers? I have an idea for a Lucina and Roy support, I just have to find the time to write it.
  5. So I installed homebrew with the hope that I would be able to install UnassumingVenosoar's Same-Sex marriage patch for Awakening. As I have said before, I installed homebrew using the Steeldiver method, and have downloaded the mod onto my computer. Now I already know that applying the mod essentially boils down to replacing the romfs from Awakening with the ones provided with the mod. But the reason that I am asking about this is because I don't know how to access or extract the romfs from Awakening onto my computer. For people experienced with modding Awakening or those who have already applied this patch, what should I do and what programs do I need to use? All of the tutorials online are focused on installing the patch on Fates, but not Awakening.
  6. I'm a pretty green modder rn, and I've run into two errors concerning an fe8 rom hack I've been making. 1: Several of my magic using characters are displaying the "STR" stat instead of "MAG", and display physical weapon levels instead of the magic weapon levels. Is there any reason for this? None of them have physical weapon levels, btw. 2: I replaced several of the characters with my own OCs, planning on fleshing them out later. Testing them out in vanilla Sacred Stones and everything was working fine until the chapter where Moulder and Vanessa are recruited. Instead of being replaced with a Wyvern Lord and Troubador, they were the same classes as before, a Priest (Moulder) and a Pegasus Knight (Vanessa), and their inventory was completely unchanged. Even more curiously, the unit portraits, base stats, and growth rates were all changed according to what I had inputted. This led me to believe it was something I had forgotten to change in the Unit Placer, but I checked both the character editor and unit placer and nothing seemed out of place. Anybody have any ideas? Help out a tough boy?
  7. I'm not sure if this is the place to post it, and I would be happy if you could redirect me to a Q&A forum about this if this isn't the place to ask, but I've run into two errors concerning an fe8 rom hack I've been making. 1: Several of my magic using characters are displaying the "STR" stat instead of "MAG", and display physical weapon levels instead of the magic weapon levels. Could you please get back to me on these issues, or redirect me somewhere where these questions could be answered?
