  1. I feel like this thread is pretty unbalanced so I'll say it: I like Camilla that's my mom!!!!
  2. More moms, so Zephia, Queen Eve, Lumera, and Queen Seforia!
  3. Ivy had a 7% chance to hit against an enemy on an avoid tile in a level 50 trial Her Thoron was also engraved with HIT too (Eirika) :') Her and Diamat get screwed over with their low DEX. I get they wanted to curb their proc rates but Ivy's basically only does damage on other mages
  4. I think it was funny Alear was constantly meeting up with the hounds and just letting them go after every encounter, but I personally don't mind silly moments like that. Overall I had a blast going through Engage's story (some moments were quite touching too). I do know I popped off at the end of the game when Alear summons all the homies and they all come out one last time! With the music playing and all the emblems lined up that was awesome lol
  5. In my playthrough, I ended up not using any silver weapons. They're pretty heavy, and upgrading them is heavy on the silver and gold. Upgraded steel is nice too because they're much lighter and they get a bit of crit. I feel like Killer weapons are pretty good in this game, their MT is decent is and engraving them with something that boosts crit can give 60~80% crits in regular circumstances on high DEX characters. Most importantly, it is incredibly cheap to upgrade them to +5 Levin sword is really good in this game too, the MT is quite good without being too weighty (looking at you Flame Lance) and is also very cheap to upgrade. Nice to have on people due to the large amount of armored enemies in this game I tried to make Brave weapons work, but due to no durability the MT was understandably nerfed to oblivion. Could make an argument putting it on a berserker or warrior but that's about it. A General would probably prefer a Great weapon if they wanted to hit hard (and they wouldn't mind the counter-attack). Nova is the obvious outlier since most enemies have lower RES and you probably have a magic user or two that was left behind on SPD
  6. I'm not so sold on the "aggressive" direction they're taking Tekken in since to me the series is known for defense and movement instead of offense. I get it can be more fun for people of all skill levels to just press buttons and have cool stuff happen tho. And I guess make it more exciting for their esports since watching Knee 1, 1 everyone isn't that fun for the regular viewer (I like it tho lol) Nina looks mostly good, her outfit is a lil weird but idk about the weapons people have now. Guns don't really fit in this series and the wall explosion thing to extend the combo reminds me of something you'd find in a DoA stage. I'm mostly a 2D player so what I think doesn't really matter since I'm a shitter in Tekken but good luck to bamco. I'll play this if they tone down the particles lol
  7. Most of my early game prepromote units did not make it onto my main team, with only Chloe making it. She was a Griffon knight for most of the campaign but in the end turned her into a wyvern rider since she was falling behind in STR. Everyone else stayed their default classes because I prefer their default outfit compared to the class outfits (seriously most class outfits in this game are wack) with the exception of Panette's pivot into Warrior because Berserker's DEX cap of 23 is horrible and Panette's high DEX growth means you'll hit that very fast and still miss crucial attacks. She ended up being my main archer since people getting hit with a longbow with 40 STR is hard to survive
  8. As much as I like Geese as a character, I hope T8 doesn't have any 2D-style characters Characters like Akuma and Geese are too fucked up lol
  9. Anyone else having a hard time getting wake up events for certain characters? I've been in post-game for a while running skirmishes so the only people waking me up should be people I've fielded but I'm getting guys like Vander waking me up even though he hasn't been deployed since chapter 4. It seems so inconsistent. During the main campaign I would keep getting people I've never deployed (Bunet) show up to wake me up. But other characters I've similarly never deployed have never shown up (Kagetsu, Diamant). Just so random I haven't even seen Ivy show up for her A support wake-up let alone her S support 😞
  10. A gripe I have with arts that haven't been addressed here is actually the Hit. They're all quite bad with like 70/80 and Martial Monk the only class that gets S in Arts has a Dex cap of 26... a number quite easily achievable in a normal playthrough. The potential to hit giga damage on the break targets is kinda marred by the 50% chances to hit lol Also you'd think the masters of hand to hand combat would be faster but their speed cap is a pathetic 28 as well...
  11. If you use Tiki's Divine Blessing on Mar Mar they get the revive stone and also extension on their engage
  12. That is exactly the case; once you've master sealed someone into an advanced class, you can freely choose another advanced class at any level with a Second Seal. You do need to be max level to second seal into the same class though (Ex: General Lvl 20 -> General Lvl 1)
  13. Oh in that case yes, they do get the benefit of additional levels before promote but it seems to be a little more complicated than the promotion just adding stats. For example my Merrin currently has all stats capped as a Wolf Knight. When reclassed to a General, she wont hit the caps for HP/STR/DEF. But they're still much higher than the baseline stats a General gets from a fresh Base class. My guess is the game has a memory of how many stat ups a character has? Now I'm intrigued And yes seals are consumed on use.
  14. Not sure if this is that unpopular here, but even the worst FE game (for me it's Fates) is loads of fun and better than most games I would've played at the time. Talking to some IRLs shitting on the visuals of Engage while they go on about the cookie-cutter open world FOTM and I'm like at least FE is fun lol...
  15. I feel like in modern FE (since DS games) it's not a big deal to just promote immediately to get the stat boosts Engage gives you more than enough seals during the early game and the shop starts selling unlimited master/second seals at a decently early part of the game
