  1. Before the patch I had about 12000 and now I have 42600. Does anyone know how renown mechanics were changed? Was this a one-time bonus or did they make changes to the renown system?
  2. The story is probably best viewed as Blue Lions -> Black Eagles (Edelgard) -> Golden Deer. Honestly you can probably skip church since it's basically Golden Deer minus a few characters and story reveals. That being said your first play through should be whichever house seems most interesting to you. You will enjoy it much more that way. FYI the order I did was Black Eagles (church) -> Black Eagles (Edelgard) -> Blue Lions -> Golden Deer
  3. I've never heard that the hearts stop. If you look at a character's roster page you'll see a ranked list of the other characters they're closest too. This determines which paired endings they get. I suspect there's no upper limit to hearts so you can grind them and customize that list to pick which paired endings you get.
  4. Leonie's "Pure Grit". It stands out for me because of one time where she was 1 hit away from death and dodged and killed a stream of enemies, surviving the encounter. Seemed appropriate.
  5. Just finished Blue Lions and I had her S support unlocked but she didn't show up in the list. Is she only available in the church route?
  6. Thanks for clearing that up Timon and for marking the answer as a spoiler. Very tempted to read what you wrote but after completing 3 paths I want to experience the last path without spoilers!
  7. Hmm that's the first route I did. I remember but I don't remember anything about the 10 elites being on Nemesis' side. The truth is so spread out over each path I may have missed that. To be clear I've completed both BE routes and am nearly done BL.
  8. Wasn't it Nemesis against Seiros and the 10 elites? I'm gonna stop here cause I suspect there will be spoilers if I dive into this any deeper (I've only completed 2.5 paths).
  9. Almost sounds like an impossible situation for Rhea. The nobles that cemented their power were the former lieutenants in her army. Without them how much power does she have left? Could she oppose them all and stop the corruption of the crest system? We know the church army is powerful enough to subdue insurrections, situations where only 1 noble gets out of line. I don't know if she has the power to go against all the nobles. Another thing to keep in mind is that the crest system has been successful at defending the continent from outside threats. I'm not arguing for the crest system. Just suggesting that Rhea, as powerful as she is, may not have had the power needed to subdue the nobles, revolutionize the continent, and then also protect the continent from outside threats.
  10. I agree with this. Another way to put it is that Edelgard argues that Rhea actively enforced the crest system to control the nobility, and hence all of Fodlan. Many of the posts here argue that the church took too passive a role and allowed the current crest system take hold. This argument doesn't support Edelgard's views (though I it is still anti-church).
  11. Seteth really seems to understand Ingrid's situation and says all the right things to her. Even after 3 play throughs these characters continue to grow on me . What I found most important here is Seteth's opinion of crests and the crest system. In Edelgard's path she's convinced that the church knowingly uses crests to control Fodlan but considering Seteth's station in the church and his thoughts on crests I just don't see it.
  12. I changed my mind about her when I considered how realistic her reaction to the main character was. She completely idolized Jeralt and got to be his student for a short time but then he ditched her. Even after that she kept working hard to be just like him. Then, when she's finally reunited with him she finds out there's another kid out there who got everything she ever wanted and doesn't appreciate it. Although I didn't like her reaction I appreciated it because it made her feel real (especially considering that she's still a teenager).
  13. Couldn't find anything here. I'm looking for a list with this info: Which seeds give which plants? What effect does cultivation have? If two cultivation options (i.e pruning and pegasus blessing) have a yield of 3 is the most expensive option still somehow better? Probability of getting stat boosting items?
  14. She definitely turns out extremely cute so I had tea with her and then Leonie: "People always seem to be talking about romance, but...honestly, I'm just not interested in that stuff." Me: 😭💔
  15. Are Wyvern Lords better than Falcon Knights? The only difference I saw between them was the magic defense and female requirement for Falcon Knights (playing on Normal difficulty.
  16. One of the problems is that in the Church route you specifically deal with Twsitd and it's Hubert who tells you were to find them so it's tough to understand why they didn't do this in Edelgard's route also.
  17. Agree with your post although in my first playthrough I actually chose "Kill Edelgard". I really liked her and I was completely on board with helping her build the future she described but "I am the Flame Emperor" and "Kill anyone who gets in your way" which included me and the other students really changed things. Plus, although you get the sense that she doesn't like Twsitd she's still allied with them even after they killed Jeralt and tried to trap Byleth in some dark dimension. That made it really hard to blindly follow her. I spent the second half of that playthrough (Church path, obviously) wishing Byleth could sit down with her and Rhea and talk things out but it was just war war war... In my second playthrough I did her route and things came more into perspective but still...
  18. Edelgard's route leaves a few story threads like Twsitd and her Uncle unresolved (the epilogue tells you they eventually get dealt with but in other paths you actually fight them). In the Church path Hubert knows where to find Twsitd so it's reasonable to assume he would also know in Edelgard's path. Combine this with the fact that the path is a few chapters shorter than the others and it seems like they didn't have time to finish.
  19. Agree completely. Have nothing against him but he seems boring and a bit slow. His paralogue makes him more likable although he works very hard to avoid accepting the truth about his parents (I can't decide if that's healthy or not). Would really like more info on the Death Knight. Didn't know he had a paralogue I need to see that. Manuela makes a great comment (BE Edelgard Route) about his reaction when she confronts him for stabbing her. Rhea In BE Edelgard route is basically driven insane. Sane Rhea is pretty ok though.
  20. Ferdinand: His attitude towards Edelgard and his love for the nobility was annoying at first but he really does have a noble spirit. His supports with other characters like Marianne, Bernadetta, Hubert and especially Lorentz (hilariously pompous duo) really won me over. Dorothea: Found her shallow in the first half but very down to earth in the second (although a bit sad). Go to her roster page and read her dislikes 😖. Lindhardt: Didn't particularly like his supports with the MC but his supports with Bernadetta, Lysithea and others really won me over. Hanneman: Boring character at first but his supports with Hubert and Edelgard provide valuable information about the empire and Edelgard's father. Alois: Jeralt finds him annoying and I like Jeralt so... But after going through his supports it's tough not to like him. Leonie: Her attitude towards the MC at first is annoying but she gets better. Waaaaaaay better. Seteth: Really warms up to you and becomes your right hand man in the church path. Felix: Rude all the way through and all he does is challenge you. But he beats you in a duel so you gotta respect him. Bernadetta: I liked her from the start but she was too over-the-top in part 1. Mellows out in part 2. The reverse (Characters you liked at first but liked less after getting to know them) Caspar: I loved that we was the second son of a noble who was working hard to cut his own path since he had no inheritance coming his way. But his yelling (maybe this is the voice actor's fault) and carelessness made me like him less and less. Shamir (specifically BE Edelgard route): Too much of a cold blooded mercenary. Everyone else turns on the church because of their ideals. She does it for money. She was much warmer in the BE church route. Manuela: She never really grows as a character. Cougar with a drinking problem all the way. So far I've completed both BE routes and am just starting BL.
  21. Post game. You invest so much time building your cast of characters and choosing classes for them that it would be great to have some challenging post game content so throw them at. Also regarding Edelgard's path:
