  1. Is Dedue's level in Chapter 16 of Azure Moon meant to remain the same as you left him in Chapter 12 or not? I played AM maddening the other day, and I noticed the level 24 Dedue I left back in Chapter 12 came back as level 29 in Chapter 16, and I'm pretty sure he isn't meant to do that since his level remained the same back when I did Blue Lions on hard a long time ago. Could that be an addition version 1.2.0 did? Or maybe that's just a thing Maddening does? Did you try talking to the choir clerk first and accepting her quest? If you don't do that then the item won't spawn.
  2. Hmm... given the order the maps were added, I assume it should be feasible there as well, but it seems we gonna have to make some testing if we wanna 100% confirm it just in case.
  3. One of Mekkah's videos brought to my attention that it's possible to get stat boosters in Azure Moon's Enbarr chapter by bringing both Dorothea & Manuela + Seteth & Flayn near the opera house and church respectively. I do wonder though; is it possible to get these stat boosters in Silver Snow and Verdant Wind as well? I assume that you should be able to, but as far I'm aware no one has ever documented it before...
  4. Is the main conflict from this game avoidable? In my honest opinion, yes and no. Broadly speaking, certain decisions like looking for allies elsewhere, talking with each other and seeking for a mutual consensus where everyone wins and loses something could potentially prevent the whole war from happening. However, making the important players from Three Houses take those choices without absolutely breaking their character is in my opinion an impossible feat without heavily rewriting them to the point their names is the only thing kept from the original draft (in particular Edelgard and Rhea). In that regard, it very much feels like the writers did an spectacular job with writing Fódlan into a wall so it gets wrecked by a conflict with the pieces the game offers you. But if everyone wasn't so flawed and traumatised? Then yeah, you could potentially fix stuff more peacefully.
  5. Can someone confirm if any of the following meats and baits are used in-game? I noticed fedatamine.com mentions there are far more of them than I knew of: Baits: * Minnow fillet * Fresh insect larva * Fresh minnow fillet * Bristle worm * Fresh bristle worm * Premium Pond Snail * Shrimp * Fiddler Crab * Premium Shrimp * Premium Fiddler Crab * Premium Earthworm * Pupa * Grub * Beetle * Premium Pupa * Premium Grub * Premium Beetle * Premium Blowfly * Squid Ball Meats: * Rabbit * Fódlan Pheasant * Gronder Fox * Boar * Grouse * Rabbit (again?) * Gronder Fox (again?) * Fódlan Pheasant (again?) I don't have the DLC pass, so I have no means to check if the previous items are available only through DLC.
  6. Ah, so it does work as I expected! (I also don't see why it would work differently with Hubert). Thanks for the confirmation!
  7. What happens with Edelgard or Hubert's personal battalions (Supreme Armored Co. and Vestra Sorcery Something) in Chapter 12 of CF if they're in a flying class? They're usually equipped automatically once the chapter starts, and while one can assume they're sent to the inventory if they're unable to have it, I have never seen this info documented anywhere.
  8. Bumping because it has been discovered and documented days ago that Three Houses has 2 unused maps in its data. I stumbled across them by happenstance through fedatamine.com, which revealed they were meant to be (if their title is any indication) another Chapter 17 that happens in Gronder Field and a Chapter 18 located in Fort Merceus, both which are unrelated to Azure Moon/Verdant Wind's Gronder 2 and Silver Snow/Verdant Wind's Fort Merceus. Just to make sure I wasn't mixing things up, I also asked DeathChaos about it and here's what he said:
  9. This is not exactly a question but rather a follow-up/update to one I had days ago about what I believed was scrapped dialogue surrounding Edelgard's Coronation Event. Well, someone did some testing and it turns out the "unused" variation of the event was never actually unused to begin with:
  10. Claude unambiguously states in his route he's against forcing change through violence, so ultimately I can't imagine him and Edelgard working together even if their ideals can coexist to an extent. "Claude: Honestly, I believe Edelgard is probably hoping to achieve something very similar. But her methods require too much bloodshed. That's not something the world can get behind.".
  11. The battle convo can only be triggered in Verdant Wind Chapter 16 between an enemy Lorenz and Claude, which is why it's unused to begin with (Lorenz can't defect in GD no matter what).
  12. IMO SS Chapter 17 is an interesting case because it manages to be easy only because the chapter ends once the DK falls. Otherwise it pulls a surprise difficulty spike that can catch you off guard if you don't grind as much.
  13. It's fairly smooth overall. Maddening lowers the amount of exp you get compared to Normal and Hard, so it's a given you're gonna be a while in the beginner/intermediate classes, which by itself gives you a ton of time to grind for skills. With magic users it gets a bit more complicated tho, as they're gonna struggle a ton without their magic if you want them to learn stuff like Hit +20 or Darting Blow (their common users fortunately do learn Combat Arts like Hex Blade/Frozen Lance/Lightning Axe, which can mitigate this issue somewhat).
  14. What about going Silver Snow instead? For all intents and purposes, SS being the default route for BE means you can choose the Black Eagles and the start and not have to support Edelgard's shenanigans (heck, unlike the other lords, her backstory isn't even part of the plot!). Regardless of what you might've heard of that route's content and how similar it is to VW, I still think you don't lose much by trying it at least once, and it can even help you get a more complete opinion of the game as a whole.
  15. Neat. Thanks for the confirmation! It's feasible to do, but it forces you to turtle a lot early game and punishes you a ton later if you didn't plan your skills and classes in advance. IMO, it's only fun if you enjoy building and customizing your units.
  16. I believe it is. The page list the alternate version of her coronation scene needs something which doesn't involve support levels though, so it becomes very likely that 1. the alternate scene is unused, and 2. there was one more requirement at one point to accompany Edelgard to Enbarr before it was scrapped.
  17. 1. Hmm... If that's the case, then that might actually be unused content. According to that same page, there's even monastery dialogue for the weeks after Edelgard goes without Byleth, which I don't believe (as far I know) are used anywhere in the game. 2. I've choosen to not go with her before for testing purposes, and when that happens the event ends right there and Edelgard vanishes for the rest of the month.
  18. Ok, this might sound silly 'cause it's something I've never tried before, but...is it possible in the Black Eagles route to accompany Edelgard to Enbarr after the first week of exploration? I was checking fedatamine.com when I noticed the page lists a variation of the coronation event in which Edelgard says goodbye to Byleth as she goes there alone, and I was wondering if that's what happened if you tried talking to her after the first week of that chapter's month (or maybe it's unused content? You can see some of it through that page so...).
  19. Interesting! I kinda had the hunch it was possible due to the game allowing to raise her support points through alternate means but wasn't sure if it was actually feasible. Thanks!
  20. IMO that's more of an issue of how the story loves to deal with the molemen's shenanigans in the most indirect and implied way possible, as the game throws hints here and there -while never spelling it out outright- that Flayn's blood was used for the artificial crest stones and to drive people crazy in Remire Village. Same goes for whatever handicap the Javelins of Light have and in hindsight it also extends to some of Edelgard & Rhea's actions (though after recent interviews & DLC it's hard to say if it was deliberate in their case).
  21. My only opinion that drastically shifted after replays was the monastery, which went from "I like it a ton" to "ugh it's time to explore I guess" (It says a lot that I enjoy CF because it ends just when the monastery begins to overstay its welcome). In a similar note, I honestly expected my opinion of Edelgard to change by the time I jumped into the other non-CF routes, but that never ended up happening so... As a whole, Three Houses for me is the very definition of enjoyable jank. The difficulty is horribly balanced (which IS/KT seemingly figured how to do it only by the time Cindered Shadows happened), some routes & their stories clearly had more time in the oven than others and some blatantly had content missing at launch *cough*Jeritza*cough*, class balance is whack, TWSITD feel hilariously underused despite their relevance lore-wise plus a ton more stuff everyone already mentioned, but I still can't help but like the cast, it's music, the sheer amount of customization and how much it rewards planning ahead, plus even some particular maps every now and then and the sheer bonkers stuff you can pull off with all the tools the game provides. I do think IS should stay away from doing multiple routes for a while though. 3Hs was clearly ambitious as hell and it's not hard to see the game barely managed to scratch the surface of what they intended to achieve.
  22. Hmm...I did notice it was possible to raise support points with Hilda that way, but I wasn't sure if that would let you get supports with her. Good to know! On a more separate tone: Anyone knows which S-rank CGs were changed with the 1.0.2 update? I just noticed Marianne's artwork got fixed at some point (part of her white ribbon used to be missing) and I dunno if the same happened with others like Hanneman's lack of goatee.
  23. Thanks! About that specific AM event, we do know now a small story event with Felix was meant to go along with it. As far other routes go, SS was definitively meant to punish you for letting any BE fall in Part 1 Classic Mode by make them defect to the Empire in Part 2 (meaning you get to see them as enemies later) and Claude has an unused battle convo vs an enemy Lorenz in VW Chapter 16. The NIWA wiki and The Cutting Room Floor has more info about them if anyone's interested.
  24. Is it possible to see Hilda's Goddess Scene in the Black Eagles route? I''m aware she can't be recruited there unless you go Silver Snow in Chapter 11, but I haven't found any info about her Goddess Scene being doable there.
