  1. They worked well as a female character, but the male version makes me think of "beta harem MC #2827"
  2. Played Hard Mode Best: Yunaka (Thief) - Reasons should be obvious, completely overpowered. Etie (Warrior): Still using Bows and slapped Lyn on her. The fat STR plus guaranteed double attack before counters meant she could kill everything in the game except armored units. Instantly annihiliated 2 health bars on bosses with Dance. Ended up getting the most kills of all my characters. Citrinne (Sage): I used Byleth on her for the Thyrsus. Incredible range nukes that usually could kill everything. Eventually her damage started being unable to oneshot but then I got put Nova on her and she went right back to being amazing. Because of the utility of 4-5 cell range attacks she is probably my most Danced on unit. Anne (Mage Knight): It took a while for her to become a monster but when she finally did she could double most units due to her great speed in combination with Mage Knight passive, which again translates to one-turn kills. Worst: Ivy (Lindwurm): She ended up my weakest mage. While Citrinne had access to Nova and Anne had enough speed to double enemies, Ivy simply had nothing. I gave her Celica who is surprisingly useless too. So compared to Citrinne and Anne she simply lacked damage. which made her nothing but a chip-damage dealer, on top of having neither the range nor the movement of the other two. Framme (Qi Adept): Occasionally she was useful to break people, and for a while she actually had amazing damage. But overall she just couldn't keep up eventually, combined with mediocre movement made her rarely useful. Basically, bad early game, good mid game, mediocre late game.
  3. Lyn's Paralogue was the first battle I had to actually restart and try again
  4. Hard/Classic. I kind of wanted to do Maddening first try like I did in 3H, but then I changed my mind because I didn't want to take too long to go through the story. But I'm around chapter 9 and the game is starting to feel pretty easy now, hopefully that's just temporary.
  5. I'm wondering how viable it will be to push people into non-standard classes (ie. Mage Anna because of growths). It seems like you need to jump through some hoops using the Emblems to gain the necessary proficiencies to class change.
  6. Didn't find them very useful. Waste a character's turn (and skill slot) to slightly buff another when said rallybot could just be attacking (or doing whatever else) to begin with never felt like a great trade-off to me. I'm sure there are situations where it can help one-shot an enemy in early game, but on average I'd rather take another strong unit. The one use I could see past early game would maybe be Rally Magic for the long-range nukers Dorothea and Constance, since they can often run into situations of just barely missing a oneshot.
  7. Felix seems like the strongest to me with those stats and Heavy Draw. I prefer it to PBV. There's also plenty of swordsmaster alternatives so there's no harm in making him a Sniper. I actually found Claude somewhat underwhelming after expecting him to obviously be the best class (flying ranged). The lack of 2 cell range really threw me off. He might still be the best class in the game, but it's not really overpowered and his sniper moves aren't as great, so overall he was slightly less useful than Felix to me since he simply didn't do as much damage and couldn't one-shot units easily.
  8. This might actually be the case, I don't remember ever having Alert Stance+ on my Wyvern Lords haha. If I ever get around to playing again I'll invest into Wyvern Lords more.
  9. That has been my experience as well in regards to Wyvern Lords, their power isn't enough to make up for the lack of double attack and iirc i often barely missed out on a oneshot with them. But I still think Falcon Knight is ridiculous, I could hurl my Ingrid into enemy territory and she'd just 100% dodge and kill everything with double attacks. I did feed her all my STR buffs though to be fair, but if you used someone like Leonie who was better growths she'd probably do well even without strong feeding. Swordmasters imo are very strong, but I never really felt like more than 1 was necessary because they are better defensively (Vantage) than offensively. All the horse units are terrible though, especially the mages.
  10. I've had the best experience with Falcon Knights. A very fed Ingrid dodge-tanked entire maps on Maddening. It's very busted in my opinion since there is literally nothing that counters dodge, it's not like there are guaranteed hitting attacks or something. Maybe it's the NG+ carrying it though, I need to play more Maddening without NG+ lol. Contrary to popular opinion I have not found Wyvern Lords all that overpowered. Their bow weakness is annoying since they don't have enough dodge to nullify it, and I can't stand the shitty accuracy of axes. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I'd like to try out Sword Wyvern Lords some time and ignore the axe bonus.
  11. I did feel that Wyvern Lords struggle against the many archers, but Falcon Knights do fine since they dodge everything anyway. Overall flying is a big advantage so they are still useful even despite the bow weakness.
  12. Agree with most of what I see so these are my only comments: Not sure why you are recruiting so many characters. Yet not recruiting Petra, one of the best units in the game? Why aren't you making Balthus a War Master? I made mine a tank with Vantage, Quick Riposte and Wrath. His personal skill is truly amazing. Just a suggestion. I think Constance can do Gremory for +1 Movement. Mine had good magic stat and had no problems oneshotting, but it's possible you might need Double Tomefaire if she didn't roll well. Also I never had issues with accuracy, even against Assassins and War Masters the accuracy was 65-90% (and I did not have Uncanny Blow). Maybe mine had great dex rolls too or something, but then again when would you ever need to bolt assassins anyway
  13. Did Maddening CF, then NG+ AM, currently at NG+ GD (now with DLC stuff). Not an FE veteran so I can't compare it to other games but I quite enjoy the challenge, I don't feel maddening is too bullshit overall, I feel like every campaign is just puzzle solving. Seems ridiculous at the start, then you figure out how to play the map, then it's easily doable. So yeah it's like solving puzzles and I really enjoy that. I love having to think for minutes about how to play a round and then finding a solution. Although same-turn reinforcements are definitely bullshit and dealing with it isn't even fun because the solution is always the same, turtle turtle turtle. NG+ sometimes feel like it makes things too easy, as does the DLC stuff, I mean the stat boosters alone are like wtf... and the extra battles make you keep up in levels too much when maddening is supposed to be about enemies being super over-leveled. As for NG+ I limit myself to skilling up Professor level and whatever is necessary for student recruiting, but I still feel that makes things a lot easier. I kind of want to do another run without NG+ just to see how much better I can deal with it using the knowledge I have now, but unfortunately a real new game is also so grindy that I can't really summon the motivation.
  14. Hmm, didn't know Gremory had +1 move, you are right that probably changes my opinion.
  15. I don't think Dark Flier is that good (unfortunately). With Constance you really want 2x Black magic uses because Bolting is so insanely good, so that means Warlock or Gremory. And Warlock is the one that gets Tomefaire so... Warlock it is. On top of that Dark Flier has 0 mag growth which is just inexcusable. Classes like Bow Knight have bad growth to balance them, but there is nothing about Dark Flier that needs this type of balancing. Valkyrie I can see how it might be Lysithea's best class. You can get, what, 6 range spells on her now?
