There is nothing wrong with a company modifying content to fit in with the standards and practices of their target market.

Marisa and Myrrh are in now, so they might truly be foreshadowing the others, and perhaps their coming unseen comrades too. How else would Valbar get in? Unless we're getting a mixed game possibly Farfetched 2 banner, or just another SoV TT without anything around it that is SoV.
Leif and Nanna will give us the bare minimum of lord and his beloved. Nanna by the way someone said would be the first new PC Staff unit since June if counting Seasonals, April if not, assuming she doesn't run the Runesword. I'd guess the new Breath targeting of the lesser durability stat would be used for the Light Brand if Leif got that over the Bragi Sword.
The third slot- well Finn would be ideal. However, Tailtiu and Oscar mean we could get someone random, like Sara. Or we could be getting Master Axe Reinhardt thanks to the recent Eirika addition for all we know. Said alternative Reinhardt could be saved for a GHB though- what is stopping them? He was a pure antagonist in T776, and his competition isn't great- Saias is the only likable alternative (Raydrik and Birdo are hardly cool characters). Given the love for myrmidon girls, Mareeta might sneak in, she will be used up much sooner than later; heck Machyua might get in before Galzus, a more worthy Sword (or Axe for either him or Machyua- since both are Heroes) infantry unit.
With the exception of Valbar, all those characters were in the banner last year. I wouldn't look too deeply into it.

I think moving forward, most people would love to have greater gender balance in FE games, I personally would like to see a greater group of standard female bosses to along with that. The problem however, is that doesn't help fans of the games that already exist. Shadow Dragon has less than 25% of its roster being female, it's impossible to strike gender balance in that game without jettisoning a lot of characters.

This is a huge problem for Heroes, especially for the older games. I honestly believe that they need to have banners release with 2 males and 1 female as the standard, and they should add in a new batch of 3 star characters like Bord and Cord.

I agree about seasonal banners, however I considered them to be a necessary evil to generate revenue to subsidize the release of less popular units. However if they are going to continue having both seasonal units AND variants of standard units, then the game needs to seriously reevaluate how characters are selected.

The issue is that time is a real problem for this game. FE Switch is going to release this year, and it will assuredly have 50+ characters, many of which will bump to the top of the queue. For fans of supporting characters it is incredibly frustrating to have their favourites pushed to the back of the line to accommodate characters already present in the game.

I don't remember saying Oliver is a bad choice. Just someone I hate. Though I do think he should've been a PoR GHB, not an RD one. And RD Ike is at least an official second incarnation of Ike. Eirika doesn't have that.

And yeah, I'm not pleased with that either. I'm probably sending Marisa home when I get her. I have more than enough red sword units and she probably won't even be that good compared to who I have. We seriously need more TT units that aren't fucking red swords...
I would encourage you to take a few minutes and write your thoughts down in the feedback section of the app. Letting the developers know our thoughts on their decisions can make a difference.

Honestly, I find this decision to reissue Eirika so disappointing, I actually left feedback in the app about this. This is a trend I want to see brought to a swift end.

This is ridiculous, there are so many great Magvel characters waiting in the wings, a second Eirika is way too soon.

The way IS has treated Brom annoys me so much, Nephenee already has 4 Cipher cards, but poor Brom is sitting at 0.

My ideal banner would be Moulder, Gilliam, and Duessel, with Garcia as the TT reward. No chance of it happening, but a man can dream.

If you really want beast units to debut, you need to rally around Selkie, because she's a popular character that casual fans have some familiarity with. She came in 59th place in the previous poll, which is way higher than the other transforming characters.

The robot doesn't use 4 joy cons, it uses the IR camera in the back pack to read the movement of the strings controlling the limbs. I think this has potential to be a real breakout hit among kids.

Radiant Dawn was shown off first at E3, but that is the one exception to the rule.

There are a lot of battles occurring on each map, I think this would get tedious really fast

That's not entirely accurate, while supports follow the same theme, some characters are given special flavour text; for instance this A support between Sigrun and Oliver.

Not my favourite, but Haar in Radiant Dawn was a beast. Losing his vulnerability to arrows made him practically a tank with wings.

@mampfoid There are a couple other fat characters; Roger, Brom, and Meg being the most notable ones. But yes, most FE characters fit into a couple body types with very few deviations. Old women being the rarest, with only Niime as playable.
Just a grumbling female player...
