  1. As always, a great and fully fleshed out fe8 hack. On difficulty - I played on hard-mode, Eirika route (this play-through was completed just before the patch allowing for 3 promotion options) and everything was relatively fine except for the Riev defence chapter which was, in all honesty completely possible but near impossible to end early by getting to Riev himself, chests were a bit of a pain in the ass to get to but nothing too extreme with some well used warps and dances. Not so much a problem as an annoyance but near the end of Eirika route, namely from river of regrets, enemies became so speedy that my capped speed franz could not double them as M!paladin's speed caps at a mediocre 24. Going forward, other endgame maps weren't anything too hard with the final chapter being laughably easy with a quick warp-skip which allows for by-passing any threatening enemy. Now we get to Lagdou ruins. Floors 1 and 2 were easy enough without any additional training in the ruins however floor 3 curb-stomped my units with many of the initial enemies rushing simultaneously. Floor 4 was fine, floor 5 wasn't hard but definitely annoying with the poison, floors 6-8 were fine. Now, floors 9-10 were insanity. Keep in mind that by this stage, my entire team had capped stats across the board from stat-boosters. Floor 9 featured manaketes fe6 style which could proc dragon fang and 1-hit any unit bar Selena due to her personal skill (I think this oversight has since been fixed) but was otherwise fine. Floor 10 however, was like playing fe8 Lunatic++. I couldn't manage to make it past turn 2 legitimately due to the insane force with which the dracozombies hit. It doesn't help that your units are all in their attack range from turn 1, they have 100+ HP (which shows as ???), inflict stone on any unit they can successfully land an attack on with their 160+ hit-rates and ignore defence and res (from memory, this may have been changed in a later patch). At this stage, I wasn't running all leadership star units on my team. Big mistake, my hitrates across the board were shaky at best and enemy hit-rates were incredibly high against almost all units except Swordmaster Marisa with duelists blow. The only unit I had who could reliably take out dracozombies was Innes who could hit them with effective dmg from either a brave-bow, a great-bow or the Reinfleche (Loved the stat-buff to late-game bows in this hack, it does an amazing job of compensating for their lack of 1 range, Gold weapons also fit the late-end game weapon archetype extremely well). Now, Formortiis in this map was an absolute pain to deal with since he has has it all, incredibly high stats and a collection of extremely strong skills including Nihil which makes all your units skills essentially worthless, a major hit in a hack where skills play such a huge roll. I'd say Formortiis is actually fine except for the skill which increases his dmg dealt based on damage taken. This skill may work for weaker, minion-like enemies with around 60 HP but since his HP pool is something like 150+ (can't tell for sure since it displays as ???), engaging him while he is anywhere below around 60HP essentially causes his damage to reach 60+, instantly killing any unit he touches with his hit-rate of almost 200 from memory. Besides this skill (Frenzy I think it was called), I'd say Formortiis is actually fine as final bosses are supposed to be an incredible challenge. And that's pretty much all for my feedback on the difficulty, early-mid game was completely fine with a handful of late-game chapters being challenging. The true hard difficulty lies in late-Lagdou ruins. Overall, still an extremely fun hack to play which spices up vanilla fe8 almost perfectly.
  2. An absolutely amazing hack to play from start to finish! Excellent job on this - the hack plays well except for a few bugs I encountered while playing through the lagdou ruins (hard-mode). On floor 4 of the ruins, breaking the lowest wall segment will cause several tiles to become blank tiles with glitched textures which are impassable by any units (unfortunately I didn't screenshot any of these glitches during my playthrough and don't have a stavestate of them anymore.) As mentioned by others before, all mini-bosses starting from the late-game through to the ruins are much weaker than the regular enemies on the map, with most regular enemies in the ruins exceeding the 60 hp cap and some dipping into "??" territory while the mini-bosses are stuck with laughably low stats which don't even reach caps like many regular enemies. When using a shortbow+ on Glen and trying to attack from 1-range the game hangs (Maybe there isn't yet a 1 range animation for the shortbow+), I haven't tried with other characters so I don't know if this bug is exclusive to Glen. When facing bishops which proc the "flare" skill, Selena still takes damage rather than being hit for 0 as her personal skill allows for all other offensive skills. On the 9th floor the manaketes all have attack stats of around 42-45 (nothing unusual) however their damage is unaffected by def and res (like the fire dragon from fe7's final map) and they also have the "dragon fang" ability. This leads to roughly a 30% chance of dragon fang proccing in combat, causing the manaketes to deal more than 60 damage in a single hit which isn't reduced by defense stats - this leads to an instant 1 shot for any player unit regardless of defense and resistance. The only way I could even finish this level was by using Selena against the manaketes as her personal ability allows her to take 0 damage from enemy skill activations. Though I'm not completely sure if this is a bug, it seems a little sketchy that the manaketes are designed to be able to 1 shot any player unit through bypassing defenses as this effectively means using selena is the player's single option for completing this level without using an abundance of 3+ ranged weapons. Finally, when a manakete procs dragon fang against selena, the game hangs as she takes 0 damage. The music continues to play however the manaketes animation freezes and the battle never concludes which forces a reset by the player. Not a bug but a suggestion would be to allow multiple S-ranks in weapons (I think this has been mentioned before) as there are so many cool weapons made available in the post-game which are unfortunately, locked to a specific collection of characters e.g. Valter loses out on S-rank dark, Selena misses S-rank in light and dark etc. Overall this is an exceptional and well thought-out hack, it spices up Sacred Stones with higher difficulty and adds completely new elements as well as a genuinely challenging post-game along with some sweet new custom animations for post-game bosses.
  3. So hyped for the regalia coming in the next update, nice catch on finding some free item slots to add them into. Btw how can you promote Marisa into a dread fighter as she only had the option to promote into either an assassin or a swordmaster for me?
  4. Hmm, that's a real shame regarding the item slot limit. Perhaps using a universal promotion item could free up a couple slots i.e. removing guiding rings and hero crests etc, just leaving the master seal, solar & lunar braces (maybe even unify them into an item called "astral brace" or something to save another slot) and the ocean seal. Though that's an unfortunate compromise at best. The only other thing that I could think of would be to remove useless items such as the juna fruit and the incorrectly coded aircalibur and maybe unify the effects of the antitoxin and elixirs so the new elixirs would both fully regen health and cure poison while removing the antitoxin item to free up another slot.
  5. Have been playing this hack for a fair while now and it's extremely well done and fun to play. A suggestion for the post-game which I personally feel would be a nice addition however would be adding the pseudo-legendary S rank fe7 weapons (Rex hasta, Regal sword, Rienfleche etc) as high tier lagdou ruins loot or items from the shop. While they're high in might and hit, they require S-rank's and some have a significant weight (20 weight Gespenst) while not possessing any sort of effective damage (compared to the actual legendary weapons like Maltet which give stat boosts too) aside from Rienfleche on archers. Regardless, I'm hyped for the next update as it sounds like there's a lot of amazing content coming for an already great hack.
