  1. I'm not sure why people say this. You know what's better than one Sky Knight? TWO Sky Knights!
  2. Here's something that's not hard as much as it is funny; you can only train students in Skills they don't have a Boon, Bane, nor Budding Talent in. Paladin Edelgard? Yes. Sniper Dimitri? Yes. Grappler Claude? Yes.
  3. If I'm too lazy to mess around with Faculty Training and make Byleth a flier on Maddening, would Enlightened One + Fetters of Dromi be a decent substitute?
  4. But isn’t growing flowers the way you get those busted stat boosters?
  5. Is Share a Meal or giving flowers the better method of raising Motivation?
  6. I'm making mine as is if it were to be utilizing Sacred Stones' mechanics, but you can do whatever. The basic idea is that it's a magical antithesis to the Knight/General class. It'd have high HP, Magic, and Resistance, okay Skill, mediocre Luck, and bad Strength, Speed, and Defense. It would be a promoted form of the Shaman class and would wield dark magic, and potentially anima magic too. Anima magic is essentially the lances of magic and dark magic is the axes, which would make it match up with the current version of the General class. If this were to be in a hypothetical game, the amount of total enemy mages in this hypothetical game would need to much higher than every other game in the series to make this class worth it. Maybe because you'd be going up against a land well known for its magic or something.
  7. I never said that she was. Even in the games that use Con, a lot of characters with low Strength also have low Con, like Florina.
  8. Revelations is a good game, but a subpar Fire Emblem game. Looking at the story and maps, the focus of every other game in the franchise, I understand why people dislike. But it excels in everything else. My Castle is one of the best things in the franchise and my biggest hope for the next game is that they combine it with the Monastery from Three Houses. It allows for so much customization and building it up is so much fun. The unit customization is also the best in the series. How expansive Three Houses is with it's unit customization actually holds it back in my opinion. Everyone becomes a flier except War Masters, your Dancer, and Male Mages. Whereas in Fates, you get to choose two units via Partner and Friendship Seals to give their base classes to the unit in question. This makes builds much more varied through player to player. And then we get to the thing that ties it all together, visiting other castles and doing castle battles. While the battles could've been slightly better balanced by, say, giving a stat boost to the army that engages, it still is so much fun. Bonus: I hate Weight. The weaker units (in terms of Strength stat) that I want to give the stronger weapons to are the ones that are weighed down the most. Looking at you, Florina.
  9. I third this. Also, is there a way to block people? In addition to that, this person's Topics make no sense and clog up the home page.
  10. Azure Moon was good, but it left a really bad taste in my mouth. The very clearly awful governing system of Fodlan stays in effect, which really dampened that feeling of accomplishment after Dimitri's redemption and Edelgard's defeat. Dimitri pre-timeskip is even shown to be aware of how flawed Fodlan's system is in a specific cutscene, but then he just doesn't do anything about it once he becomes king. One of his best friends Sylvain's entire conflict focuses on how terrible the emphasis on Crests are, but Dimitri just completely ignores it. And then Silver Snow is boring, I haven't played Crimson Flower yet (I will soon,) so for now at least, Verdant Wind is my favorite.
  11. I always just made them Enlightened One, because to me Faculty Training seemed like a waste of Activity Points compared to motivating my students. After all, there was a perfectly good class right there that allowed Byleth to harness the powers of God. First run I went exclusively physical, but latest two I did some faculty training in magic as another option. Works pretty good. But I'm gonna do my first Maddening run soon, and I'm gonna make Byleth a Falcon Knight.
  12. I completely forgot that you can make male characters Dancers. I thought that combining the two non-healing supportive roles and having a unit that can just do a lot of damage in whatever form would be most efficient, but I can definitely see why that’s completely wrong. This is a fresh save, which makes recruiting everyone I want a bit intimidating, but I want that exclusive title screen to flex on my Normal/Casual friend.
  13. I finished Silver Snow recently so now the only route left is Crimson Flower. I wanna finish my time with Three Houses off with a bang, so I decided to play it on Maddening Mode. But I couldn’t find a definitive “These are the best characters, and here’s how to build them” like I could with Awakening, so I took matters into my own hands and here’s what I came up with. Also if you have any tips on how to best spend my days off, please tell me.
