  1. I'm just waiting for Soldiers and being able to play an openly gay/lesbian Avatar as long as the game is as fun as 13, we're cool in that regard.
  2. I actually like most of the fire spells From the Hadoken fire spell to the KA-BOOM of Valaflame hell, I even got a kick out of Bolganone in the lava level lol
  3. I love spellswords, so the Dark Knight, Grandmaster, Dread Fighter and by some extension, Dark Flier and Trickster are pretty cool to me. As for pure power? I really dig the Hero and General, design and skill wise. still would like to see some of the classes from previous games return in the FE14. Honestly, Halberdier should be the one getting Lancefaire
  4. I still think this scene is odd Lucina went from just thinking I was trying to steal her dad, to thinking I was going to kill him! lol but seriously, it's really dumb. . . I mean, from a dramatic stance it's a great scene, the choice of letting your mother live to kill your father, or ending her before she can be forced to do it. . . but when you think about it at all, it just makes Lucy look like a dumbass. GEE, I'MMA KILL MY MOM, WHICH WILL KILL MY BROTHER now, yeah. . . she WASN'T going to do it, but even then. . . Lucy . . . calm the hell down girl.
  5. I started with Tri and got hooked will definitely be getting the HD enhancement for my covered-in-dust WiiU
  6. Yes, I am aware this is topic is somewhat dumb. . . ok, maybe very dumb but it'd be interesting to see what creative hackers could do with the Awakening assets. I've seen a lot of complaints and nitpicks over Awakening over on it's respective board (some of which I agree with, but most of which are really subjective), so I wonder what hackers would do to improve the game. Or hell, make a new one from scratch. thoughts?
  7. most of my 'disappointments' could really just be taken as nitpicks. A lack of a playable Soldier/Halberdier class No Light Magic Generic supports No same-sex S ranks other than that, I've really no gigantic issue with the game. Sure the story isn't as deep as some other titles in the series, but what it did well, it did very well. I can easily say that this is my second favorite game in the series, and I'm replaying it a lot more than I did with even my favorite title lol
  8. I'm just waiting til they hack the game so Fem Avatars can S support female units o 3o
  9. both are great, but while I love my Tharja tank, seeing the animation for vengeance 200 times in a row got REALLY annoying. Ignis never got old tho
  10. I know this is sort of off topic, But I'm wondering just how much of these assets they will reuse for FE14. I'm sure we'll see some new classes (Halberdier maybe?), but I wonder just how much they'll add to the class designs, if they decide to put any more effort into unique looks into them. Personally, I'd just like the character portraits to match the class upon change lol
  11. I got Walhart! . . . where the hell are all your skills, man!?
  12. ah, the series that has been love-hate with me since FFVIII Without going on a rant about how much I hate the George Lucas-like "new vision" for the series Square seems so set on doing; I will say that I have enjoyed the more traditional games of the franchise. FFV and FFVI are in need of a true remake, not a port to some iOS device, a full on FFIVDS style remake. As for the last great Final Fantasy game? That's Bravely Default!
  13. eh, I don't really care about caps when i think balance, i think having playable Soldiers and Halberdiers lol I like the idea of having Myrmidon/Brigand/Soldier and Mercenary/Fighter/Knight. Sucked to have the Pegasus Knight be the Lance master ;/
  14. I'm wondering just how they will handle the mechanics from their respective franchises. SMT is a turn-heavy game, making use of weaknesses to acquire more turns to deal more damage and prepare for the enemy turns. It also has 2 types of instant death spells, light and darkness (are those going to be high level tomes? lol) FE focuses on the tried and true rock-paper-scissors weapon triangle, along with some type advantages here and there. I'd imagine the magic triangle will probably return, mostly to fit in with the spells from SMT. My biggest question is still how it's going to play, and what mechanics are going to be kept, mixed, or dropped. Thoughts?
  15. I can see them mixing some of the Devil Survivor gameplay with Fire Emblems brand of gameplay. what really stands out though are the mechanics of both franchises. Turns, both gaining and losing them, play a huge role in SMT. . . so one wonders how they will handle that. And Fire Emblem is pretty straight forward with it's stats, and weapon traingle-based combat. While SMT tends to have a rock-paper-scissors base, they tend to play around with weaknesses, resistances and even nullification to absorption in enemy types as well as playable characters. In the end, something is gonna get lost in translation by combining these powerhouse combat systems. I'm just hoping for instant death spells and perma-death. Come on, you know you want a Lunatic+Maniac difficulty~ Oh, as for the plot, um. . . as long as it isn't X Edge bad, I'm ok with any excuse they have to merge the two franchises lol
