just generally ignore every dawn brigade units except nolan, only if you're lucky, as he is very likely to get speed, strength screwed, and do so only if you find yourself need another semi-carry unit that don't die in 1 or 2 round like the rest of the trash brigades, and micaiah and sothe, not because they're good or anything but you're forced to take them in to the end game wasting valuable slots. as for dawn brigade chapters, just have some op units to carry through, Zihark for one, is great, and with decent growth, great base stat, and earth affinity should be able to carry most of the chapters along side sothe, tauraneo, volug and jill. tauraneo is great for where he is available until part 4. and remember, everyone of the dawn brigade units, excluding only Zihark cause Mia is kind of similar with him, are just completely, utterly out classed by every GM units which you will get later, and it's not even close. imagine compare meg with gatrie, and fiona with oscar, and aran with nephenee, leo with shinon and rolf. even nolan, which is their best units are only just as good as boyd if he is very lucky with his level ups. and let's not pretend like we're actually gonna take any DB units in to the end game unless we're trying some crazy challenge or something. so basically, don't invest much in to db units, the draco shield you get from the beginning go to nolan, as he is the only competent front line units and could really use some defence boost, energy drop you get early on should go to zihark, and every valuable skill, items, mainly gems, should let illyana take them and transfer them to GM, who really need gold, even BEXP should be only used if you can't beat the next chapter without some quick upgrades, since later on after groups merged together so did the BEXP. and you can use them on other more competent units than the DB members.

it is revealed that during the war micaiah actually traveled in to crimea searching for sothe iirc, which mean, she has seen, first hand, the atrocities daein committed in crimea, but she still blame the war on ike. which indicated she have little concern over any living beings except daein people who have been proven time to time never learn from their mistake and attack other nations with no apparent reasons.

i agree micaiah been an absolute bitch through out the entire game except the time when she saved nico, even that leads to jarod killing a shit ton of civilians. which she should have for seen, but hey, kid's life matters. and talk shit about ike during the mad king's war just make her worse. as daein literally: invaded another country with no formal declaration of war; committing countless atrocities across crimea, war crimes against crimea civilian that is on par with what begnion did in daein; conducting immoral experiment against laguz on a massive scale. and i see people say ike "invaded" daein unnecessarily since ashnard is in crimea at the moment, but ike only realised that after he conquered daein's capital. and daein have every single right to be punished due to what they did. and what did she do? she literally said nothing regarding what ashnard did. which basically indicated she have little regard to non daein people as a whole. also she took pelleas's order without blinking and continue to do so even after realising the entrie thing is a begnion set up. what is even more irritating is that she try to justify her evil actions in whatever way she could find with absurd reasons. normally my view on a character divided in 2 parts, their in game performance and their personality. micaiah could potentially be the only character i truly dislike, in all of the fire emblem games. with horrible in game performance and horrible personality. and make her an protagonist in RD is such a bad thing, hell even laura or aran is a better choice to lead DB than this massive genocide freak
