I’d really like to see the enemy crit stat by just scrolling over them and not having to go into the unit details page.

So many are so dependent on the overall build of your units. Here’s a quick rundown of some of my next run plans for them. Sigurd - Levin Sword on Mage Knight Chloe Marth - Killer Bow on Sniper Yunaka Corrin - Radiant Bow on Sniper Yunaka Ike - Brave Lance for Halberdier Amber equipped with the Ike Emblem Roy - Armorslayer for Wyvern Kagetsu w/ the Lyn Emblem. That -8 isn’t going to stop him from doubling armored units Eirika - Killer Axe for Vantage/Warth Warrior Panette equipped with the Roy Emblem. Hold Out will be insurance against any stray crits that somehow get through her vantage/wrath combo Lyn - Steel Greataxe on Great Knight Goldmary equipped with Wrath. Byleth - Wyvern Kagetsu’s Killer Axe until the spoiler emblem replaces it there. Then will probably move it to Ivy for the hit and dodge that she needs late game

And yet you just dismissed it with the Framme comparison to Lapis when all she needs is 1 early energy drop to be Wyvern Lapis 2.0.

I don’t actually think that Framme is as good as Lapis. It was an illustration of why you don’t bring up stat boosters when comparing units.

What would those be? The one that does almost the same thing as Kagetsu’s but also nerfs Lapis’s crit? And if a deficit of 4 strength, 10 Dex, 10 luck, 4 speed, 5 HP, and 4 defense isn’t a big deal, why am I supposed to believe that the 2 to 1 strength difference between Framme and Lapis is?

Lapis literally needs 2 energy drops, 1 Seraph Robe, 5 secret books, 2 speedwings, 5 goddess icons, and 2 dracoshields to match Kagetsu. Framme needs just 1 energy drop to match Lapis' midgame strength if they're put on the same class path and then they're basically the same unit. Without the energy drop, she'll trail Lapis by 1 point of strength by the endgame and be nearly identical everywhere else.

The problem with this logic is that you could do this with a lot of different units. Go ahead and pump Framme full of stat boosters, promote her to Wyvern at level 10, and see what happens. You'll end up with a unit shockingly similar to the Lapis you've been creating.

No, because Lapis isn’t bringing anything unique to the table. You can make anyone a flier in this game if you want and anyone can use any weapon. Look, this is nothing against Lapis. She’s a fine unit. However, she doesn’t have anything that differentiates her from others. Her personal isn’t good like Panette’s for example. She doesn’t have access to a unique class or ability like Ivy, Hortensia, or even Alcryst. So at that point, it’s mostly just a stats race. And she fares pretty well in that! Being Diet Kagetsu is far from the indictment you make it seem like simply because Kagetsu is absurd. Plenty of units in this game would love to be Diet Kagetsu (poor Rosado).

It’s not that you’re not supposed to use them or anything like that. You certainly are and if you are using Lapis, for example, she is an excellent candidate for an energy drop. It’s just that when you’re comparing units, you can’t just assume that you give stat boosters to one and not the other. Plus, there’s opportunity cost to giving them to any unit. Any stat booster given to unit x is a stat booster not given to unit y.

I'd highly suggest breaking this one rule for Corrin/Seadall. If you want to get technical about it, I guess you could say that he just found the ring and it's really Fogado's?

What exactly is Lapis better at than Kagetsu? He has higher HP, Strength, Speed, Defense, Luck, and Build while having basically the same Res and Magic. There isn’t much left outside of personals and Kagetsu wins that one too.

You know you can just use them both right? There's plenty of room for both of them on a team. Chloe too!

You can believe whatever you want I guess. Just don't be surprised when no one else agrees considering that she has worse strength, worse speed, worse accuracy, worse crit ability, and worse defense when given similar class paths and treatment.
