  1. Having promotions different for each path would be cool and add more to the whole "choices that the player has to make" but I don't know how that would work out, especially how in Japan they're coming out with two FE games and one game is the Hoshida path and the other is the Nohr path. I'd feel pretty disappointed if I had to shell out extra money just so I could have a Dark Flier/Falcon Knight promote...
  2. Wasn't that teaser used in a Nintendo Direct? So isn't it more like an announcement rather than a teaser? The video pretty much only had the official art of past FE and SMT MCs and the title: "SMT x Fire Emblem." I don't think anyone started whining until after a year of no information.
  3. My fingers are crossed for the two-paths-in-one-game scenario and now it's time to wait again... I'm not sure about anyone else but all I'm doing right now is staring at my empty wallet. I might as well try selling it for some spare change... ;____;
  4. I'm personally not a big fan of the animesque style but each to their own. I guess it's just such a sudden change for a lot of FE fans. To be honest, the only FE-related themes I see is the mechanized pegasus knight and the princely attire of the male MC. (I felt like I missed something else too but oh well.) I hope new gameplay videos come out soon; I feel that it's too soon to judge the game even though it does have quite a vivid presentation.
  5. As someone who lost their father due to smoking, I advise that you should definitely have a talk with your father about his addiction, especially if he has, as dondon151 said, the "right mindset." Even though the road to getting out of the addiction is long and difficult, the first step is to realize the addiction and have a determination, even if small, to break out of it. When talking, make sure to keep it calm and see if he does have the "right mindset." After that, it's up to him, you, and maybe other family members or outside forces to slowly help him out of his addiction. What might also help you out is asking on a forum that's more geared towards medical issues, etc. The most you can get from asking from Serenes Forest is maybe personal counsel and some links but that's the extent of it unless someone on this forum is a former smoker who went through the process of breaking the addiction or someone who has gone through a similar experience of helping a smoker out. I wish I could give you more advice concerning the process, but all I can tell you now is what I wish I could have done. It's going to take a long time and you might feel like giving up, but if anything, what your father needs most is your patience and support.
  6. Considering RWBY's popularity and the fact that the show is one piece of Monty Oum's legacy, it'll probably be continued. I remember hearing about Monty Oum several years ago with the Haloid video he created as well as his work with Afro Samurai (the game). Even though I'm not a really big fan of RWBY, I always found his work interesting and I'm honestly saddened by this news. I thought it was a joke at first... and it's not. RIP, Monty.
  7. The hype I'm feeling is in-between "There is a fire in my loins!" and "Here's a chance for me to dream big and have all my dreams get broken! Yeah!" I'm not really sure what scale my hype can fit on...
  8. Honestly, just giving him the extra EXP would fix the deal for me. I don't know anyone who has the patience to make him go through 100 attacks just to level him up once... especially if you're aiming for a ranked run. o_e But it would be pretty cool if Merchants had a way to defend themselves, besides just being units that take up slot space or in FE7's case, a stationary tent. I sometimes feel that the unlimited convoy of FE13 is just for that Regalia DLC... gotta hoard 'em all.
  9. So would his EXP gain depend by the amount of gold used to buy stuff or by what he's purchasing? Sounds legit tho. They're probably going to bring back unlimited convey, just so the new players won't be terribly annoyed with the convoy limit. But I honestly never noticed that Chrom acted as your convoy access until like thirteen chapters into the game... Either way, it would be pretty cool if we can also get a Merchant class character, like the lance-wielding ones in Awakening. And maybe when promoted they get a wagon or something. I can dream big sometimes.
  10. With the existence of Second Seals, there's kinda no point in putting too much thought into your choice if there are branched promotions. You could just grind and then re-class again and maybe the best class for the character isn't even in their original tier. I highly doubt re-classing will go away anytime soon, so it's just a matter as to whether there will be any limits on re-classing. Besides, It's uncertain whether or not we're going to get the Second Seal re-classing system back in FE14.
  11. Considering how well Awakening has done, with introducing the generational system and all, chances are children are going to come back. There's just a bigger chance that instead of time traveling, we'll have some sort of time skip which is way better in my opinion. I honestly don't see FE ever getting same-sex marriage supports in the near future. Same-sex marriage isn't even legal in Japan and I believe a recent opinion poll points that there is a majority opposed to same-sex couples getting married, though the supporting side is slowly growing.* Even if people from other countries might be cool with it, I have a big gut feeling that if FE came out with such supports, it wouldn't go so well in Japan. Maybe in the future, we will see a FE with same-sex marriages but it just doesn't seem possible soon. My biggest gripe with the support system would have to be the jarring jump between A-rank and S-rank in supports. Then again, it's pretty difficult to go from a purely platonic relationship to marriage within four conversations. I feel that maybe having more support conversations to bridge the jump might help but there's always a chance of once again having quantity over quality... *Source: http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2014/03/18/poll-half-people-japan-oppose-sex-marriage/
  12. Even though you might feel pressured to embellish your scholarship letter, you should try and strike a chord between honesty and flowery rhetoric. You don't have to be spitting out a fancy word every other word but you shouldn't be replying to the prompt too bluntly. It also helps to have another pair of eyes read your scholarship letter to catch any grammatical errors, awkward wording, etc. To be honest, we can only give you general advice since we don't know what the prompt is...
  13. It would be fun if they had special maps just for the multiplayer mode and maybe a map creation system or something. (I'm dreaming big but I can afford to get my hopes up... for now.) EDIT: Good job, sleep-deprived me. Thank you for the link, Fruity Insanity. c: I mixed up the Multiplayer mode with co-op...
  14. For some reason, I have a feeling that MU dies in the process of "waking up." He/She is pretty much fading away. But of course, this can be along the metaphorical sense.
