It really wasn't terribly hard at all. I had some problems with Hector at points, because he's roughly as fast as a drunken snail riding a tortoise, but overall, my lords leveled up quick. Not quick enough to get Geitz instead of Wallace though, curses.

...Fates is the best game in the series. And also my favorite game ever made...and my most played non-Smash game...and my most replayed game ever. I liked its ideas, I actually enjoyed the story, and I really liked most of the characters.

I've never considered that...I used to do those with Pokemon all the time, that sounds like a hell of a lot of fun

I got into the series earlier this year, with Three Houses. Before I knew it, I was hundreds of hours into every game I've played thus far, being Three Houses, Fates, Awakening, Shadows of Valentia, and Blazing Blade. I've dabbled into Sacred Stones and Shadow Dragon, and played a bit of Path of Radiance. Kind of curious as to which game I should try next, since I honestly don't know.
