  1. I would also note that I don't think Genealogy is the slam dunk a lot of people think it is. Do you do a SoV, where you leave the same maps? That didn't help SoV very much. Do you make them smaller? Then you've changed a fundamental part of the game. Yes, it has a support system, but uh, not in a way that people that liked 3H will necessarily like. What about all the questionable stuff? Is modern IS *really* going to show the whole Deidre thing in its full HD glory? It's one thing when FE is a niche property in 16 bit or whatever. But is Nintendo really going to allow all the incest stuff, untouched, spelled out? I legitimately don't think they will. I think they'll be asked to change a lot of stuff. Genealogy is an incredibly complicated game to modernise and port to a Nintendo console, and it doesn't exactly have the same things that made Awakening and 3H massive hits. This is why I think it's always around the next corner. I have no idea how they adapt it in a way that a. sells better than SoV, b. gets approved by Nintendo and c. keeps the game similar enough.
  2. Both Nina and Kitra seem old enough to have been progressing in their knighthoods. I don't think the game intends them to be particularly younger than Alain. It does suck you can't marry guys, though.
  3. Maybe the unexpected popularity could change their minds? It's tracking better than 13 Sentinels, at any rate.
  4. Yeah, I think I overall agree with your rankings. I might put Albion below Bastorias (I get very little sense of culture from the former), and maybe Elheim over Cornia (I like walking in a green forest), but the differences are small for me. Drakengard is far and away the best area if the game, Cornia and Elheim are a nice middle, and Bastorias and Albion are dead last. I think Bastorias was the biggest disappointment for me in terms of potential. There's cool lore to the origin of the bestrals, and Yunifi's heritage, but it's just never used or integrated. Unlike the rest of the regions, you don't get a sense for their government or structures.
  5. Yeah, honestly, I wish Cornia was last. It also doesn't make any sense. Galerius just let's you liberate the entire kingdom aside from the capital? Yeah, he's doing dark ritual things, but when the bulk of your army is stuck in western Elheim... really, not a single counterattack from the level 40 army?
  6. It's difficult to compare Alain to anyone because he really doesn't have much a personality, beyond the traditional heroic traits.
  7. Yeah, difficulty is perfect for me. But I'm a Hard player, so it makes sense.
  8. Excellent maiden choices, though I would insist on Virginia being best girl. How'd you find the difficulty on expert? I played on tactical, but I'm a FE hard player, not lunatic/maddening. How did it treat you?
  9. A bunch of towns in Albion have an infinite supply of goat biscuits, sold by the provisioner or whatever the not armorer is called. Cheap too. Buy like 24 and you shouldn't need it for a while.
  10. Last I googled, it was still awful. Still no GameFAQs guides or anything either. The UO discord is probably the best place for these questions right now.
  11. I really liked being able to go back and forth. Sometimes I got bored of the Drakenga-- I mean hold deserts, and would do some Elheim liberation battles, get some elves into my army. Likewise, I procrastinatied doing the last battle of Bastorias, so I would go to Albion to get some angels. I think I would've enjoyed it less if I was locked it like that.
  12. Virginia, Melisandre, Chloe so far.
  13. I'm still not a fan. I think she's the dullest character of the original cast. And her design bugs the crap out of it. It's like they were going for titillating, but still wanted to keep her looking priestly ish, so it comes out looking a bit confused for me. Lex and Chloe aren't really depicted as much of a pair anymore, I think. Chloe and Ridiel get more exposure. Yup, and Yahna with the carvings, Ramona with the weapons, Selvie with the trial battles or whatever they're called, etc.
  14. Yeah, they know what they want. Eltolinde isn't being subtle either. I dunno. Remember when Engage ran out if physical copies and we thought it was.doing better than it was? It's good news, but I want to wait for some confirmation.
  15. That's not even enough sometimes, though. Sometimes the projected damage is less than the remaining HP of one of my units, and what ends up happening is that someone dies, but a different unit gets healed.
