  1. The double note system is a huge buff for horns, and it actually gives healing horns some viability since you can get two heals in one song. The purple/green/red note combo (AuL, S Healing) might see more usage than in previous gens due to this, though I think purple/red/orange and purple/blue/orange will remain the most popular note combos because of the fantastic song lists (AuL/Rock Steady/Song Duration Extend and AuS/Negate Stamina respectively). But, in general, the double note system makes the weapon have to play less songs overall, which is always good since playing songs against more aggro monsters doesn't happen much. As for styles, Bushido HH is probably going to be the most used since it only loses the double A swing (lol) and now we know that the 3 hit combo after dodging can be cancelled after any swing, meaning it's super safe. The extra mobility after a dodge isn't really needed but being able to set up 3 notes super quickly is a huge boon. The HH specific arts are pretty awful honestly, so only having 1 art slot isn't bad at all. Aerial can also be pretty good for the double swing in the air, but I'm skeptical on aerial in general, especially against the endgame moving hitbox monsters that are oh so common. So yes, HH got super buffed, though the HH's arts are terrible. To be honest I'm fine with it not being a speedrun weapon, since being a speedrun weapon + the utility it has in buffs and exhaust would be absolutely broken.
  2. Here's the newest trailer! The trailer shows off some new monsters/subspecies and Hunting Arts. The new gunlance art looks sick. Oh and Gore Magala and Seregios Steve return from MH4U so maybe we will still get the super cool Steve weps (I hope the Steve horn returns, that thing is a beast)

  5. This. BEXP and forging made PoR a total joke, and while Titania isn't quite Seth/Avatar tier, she's really damn close. Hell, almost every single unit has good/workable stats so deciding how good a unit is depends on if they're on a horse/flying horse/wyvern. In my first playthrough in PoR I only reset on Ch 10 cause I wanted all that BEXP. Oh and once on the BK fight cause I got trash RNG. The other games mentioned had me reset more often due to units actually getting killed. However, I have heard that Maniac difficulty is a pain in the ass, especially early on. Too bad only Japan got it.
  6. Depends on the game, some games have a super good thief that requires little to no effort to make good such as Julian/Pahn/FE10 Sothe/Anna. In the games that don't, I either barely ever use thieves or don't use them at all and just use keys instead. I almost never raise them to be combat units except that funky FE7 run I did once that made Matthew steamroll the first few chapters of Hector Mode cause I leveled him up a lot in Lyn Mode. IMO thieves should be able to steal weapons again since that gave them a unique niche in FE5 that made fighting mages less hellish in some chapters like 5.
  7. Using Sheema and Wendy in my first playthroughs of FE3 and FE6 respectively I can recall several times in my first run of FE5 trying to give Brighton some ez horse guy kills in Ch 6 only for Galzus to just sprint over with move again and luna astra his ass

  9. Link Between Worlds is super fun and the only Zelda game I liked so much that I wanted to do a 3 heart challenge on it (and it was on hero mode, the one hit kills were real)
  10. Green Mega Man since I'm like the only person who liked leaf shield from the get go and didn't call it trash. Green coat doc is cool too

  13. To be honest, there are so many good ones on SNES that I'll only consider the ones that aged well. FF6 and Chrono Trigger feel good to play and look/sound decent even by today's standards. FF6 feels more glitchy and weird but Chrono Trigger has a really simple RPG battle system. Ehh everything else about Chrono Trigger is fantastic so I'll go with that.
  14. He made the Halloween Hack, which is a pretty messed up romhack of Earthbound. He also did some Homestuck music
  15. I'm kinda split down the middle. I really love Diablo 2 and Dark Souls but at the same time I really love FF5 and Mother 3. Ehh I've played more JRPGs so slight bias towards that I suppose.

  17. Dude Ares is super good Noish is critdad, never used Alec so I can't say much about him. They both have horses though so they can't be all that bad. Doesn't Sigurd have claim to the hero sword because it gives critz? I guess Noish can build up kills before that happens if that's what you mean but I think Sigurd would do it better. I'll have to try Magelec somtime since I've never actually used him.
  18. [spoiler=True End Spoilers]Just got the true end. Holy crap I was not expecting to cry that much over a character I barely knew anything about
  19. For the sake of not spoiling Undertale (which is hard because literally saying anything is spoiling some part of it), I'll just say Undertale tugs at your feelings way harder than Earthbound and has an extremely likable cast that not many games or other forms of media pull off well. However, Earthbound delivers cosmic horror very well. It's really hard to compare the two, but I found Undertale to be way funnier than Earthbound so there's that.
