  1. Really pointless error to point out, but on Lyn's average stats page, at level 3 (unpromoted), her HP value should be 17.4 not 17.5.
  2. I'm sorry to let you down, I mostly lurk now, and even then not all too often. But hey, I never removed the part from my signature. I actively support out group in that sense.
  3. Well, I just noticed that on Mia's FE10 average stats, when she caps defense 3rd tier, her defense growth was not taken out of the Stat Ups. It would be good to take the .40 off from all of the values from when she caps (at level 11) on. Just doing my civic duty.
  4. I spend more time playing RPG's than Brawl, but I still play it when RPG's are out of the question. Not that that happens often. But it is definitely more fun to play with other people.
  5. You never watched the Ocean's movies? Wow.
  6. Umm, yes there is. If you want to go under the stage as part of your recovery, it is advantageous to retain your jumps and UpB, in case you mess up in grabbing the other side, or it is a retarded edge, because some edges are hard to grab. Besides, you could also UpB whilst gliding, which could stall enough to throw off an edgeguarding foe. Ultimately, why should you make yourself more vulnerable than neccessary? You can jump out of a manual glide, you go into fall mode out of an UpB-ed glide.
  7. Well in the first 10 seconds, clearly says he is about "kicking ass, taking ass, and making ass." But yes, if he finds out about what you have done, he'll challenge you to a game of Wii Fit, and if you lose, you'll die.
  8. DoR is definitely more balanced, I give it that. But AWDS was my favorite, and I consider myself to have spent more time on it than any other game. I spent countless hours creating maps for it. But actual play time, it falls short of SSBM and ToS.
  9. Not just first, but only. It was a really good game, and if the newer Pokemon console games were like it, I'd actually play them.
  10. As a Meta-Knight main, I can say gliding is REALLY useful. His glide attack is one of his better knockback and % dealing moves, especially since you can UpB then glide attack your foe. Glide attacking is soo useful. Think of gliding and glide attacking as an extension of getting on the stage, except when you glide attack, you don't have the lag like a ledge attack. And you can fly over your opponents. And if you want, you can go under some stages, which is a basic mindgame. Charizard should use gliding solely for recovering, he is too slow to use it as part of his attack strategy, and his glide attack simply doesn't work. Pit, well he isn't as good at gliding as Meta-Knight, but I guess you could use it offensively, though from what I've seen his glide attack is ok at best. I don't play Pit if I can avoid it, so I don't really know how to play him. His recovery is already insane, so he doesn't need gliding, but you could use gliding to mix up your recovery a little. Meta-Knight, again, his glide attack is useful, and it's easy to start gliding, and yeah, Meta-Knight is the fastest glider. And besides, once you have mastered gliding, you can have fun with it and do tricks. Then your friends, if they are a glide-capable character will try to copy you, and fall to their deaths, since they don't main gliders. Gliding is useful, that's my opinion! (I also think it is fun)
  11. Yeah, that was about what went through my head when I saw this thread. I was wondering if someone had resurrected Meteor's, but then I saw Knife was the instigator topic creator. Why does this make me laugh?
  12. I swear Sakura told us "If you aren't a 1337 Japanese man like me, then press start, and I'll tell you where the heck you are supposed to go." in one of the updates, so I knew about it. Besides, it was mostly run around like a maniac until you get back to start, then pause to figure out where you haven't been yet. I think I beat all but like 4 of the battles my first time around the loop though. There was one battle I forgot to get, because I ate breakfast and forgot I skipped the door, and the other few were somewhere random that I didn't find, like the top of the mountain. But yeah, it was a blast.
  13. So this is what they were talking about on Eggman's theme song from Sonic Adventure 2. You know "I am the Eggman, that's who I am. I am the Eggman, I've got the master plan!" The world makes so much sense now!
  14. I changed the control settings on Wiimote and Wiimote & Nunchuk settings, when all I ever use is a Gamecube controller. I'm shocked more people don't alter controls. When my friends and I got Brawl, the first thing we did was make names and go turn tap-jumping off. Then we had our first match. Seriously, tap-jumping is the worst thing ever. Though if anyone tries to use my name with a non-gamecube controller, they are doomed. I changed almost everything about the Wiimote with and without the Nunchuk. I have the B button set to jump on Wiimote held sideways, heh. But yeah, I listen to music, and since I didn't understand what the deflicker changed, I just left it, not that Sakurai knows what is best, but I decided to trust him with this one.
  15. The Great Maze was the most fun I've had in a video game in a LONG time. I would buy a game if the only thing it was was the Great Maze. Honestly, it was challenging without being frustrating. It was almost similar to Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, I guess you could say. But yeah, running around, having a blast, battling. Ahhhh, I can't say how much I like that level.
  16. Considering, if you use Nils every turn from the time you get him to the time you kill Ludgren (Lundgren?) he only gets to level 5. That's what I do, so I don't have to waste as many turns at the end, getting him to level 7. Oddly enough, I never manage to get to the level. If I kill Kishuna, I skimped on Nils during Lyn's chapters. If I fail at killing Kishuna, then I wasted time getting Nils to level 7 in Lyn's chapters. Or I'm playing Eliwood's story, at which point I level up Nils and kill Kishuna. I'm also too lazy to restart the chapter if I did level up Nils, but failed to kill Kishuna.
  17. Well, Wist could pull it off, assuming Wist got over its general hatred of the world (I forgot which gender Wist is, but knowing Wist, probably didn't tell us). No one said you had to have as big of a sig as possible. You don't even need to have a sig. If your sig goes no further then the Member #, Fav FE, Location, Member title, ect. on the side on a one-line post, I'd say you are good as gold. When your sig can fill pretty much an entire page, that's when I start to get annoyed. Start to, not completely annoyed, and besides, I only vent my feelings when someone else starts the complaint.
  18. I like yours, it has Wolf flipping you off action. And it's a video, which gives it much more win than say a picture or a slideshow.
  19. *giggles* Yeah, the stupidly big sigs annoy me, especially when the same one is the primary poster in a thread. I'd say if the post isn't bigger than the sig, you've got some problems.
  20. The Japanese are proud of the tactic, "move armour knight onto bridge, have mage kill enemy" did you see how many times they used it? If only I could devise such devious strategies such as theirs.
  21. How do you think the Elite Negative Post club came into being? But a lot of it was the forums were new and he was testing what could be done, I'm guessing. Why else would he assign random Member Titles to people? Or ban Meteor, though he could still sign on and post? I think Vincent was just sowing his wild oats. Heh... No, seriously, for the first week or two. I distinctly remember there being the sub-forums Dark Dragon..., Gaiden, Mystery of the Emblem, Genealogy of the Holy War, Thracia 776. But since none of them had more than 2 topics, one of which was probably someone saying "Wutz this game aboot?" Vincent (I'm assuming it was him) did what was wise, and combined them all together. I'm not sure if more people were expected to have indepth conversations about them or what. Anyways, now we have NES/SNES Era FE's for a sub-forum name.
  22. The first one is probably my favorite 64 game (that or Kirby 64, hmm). It is simply great. The part that frustrates me is the nigh impossibility of getting to the max level. I haven't bothered to actually get in a Super Bullet Bill Canon battle when Super Bullet Bills still give 2+ experience. Then you would have to keep battling them, for a very long time, until you hit the max level, because in that game, things stop giving you exp. I think the closest I've ever come is to when the canons themselves give 1 exp. But you have to practically leave Bowser's castle in order to respawn the enemies, soo I haven't gotten past that/those levels yet. The second one was good, and probably a better game, but at the time, I didn't like it, simply because the first one was so epic. It's grown on me, and I really like it now. 2 words that make this game fun: Danger Mario. And if you want a challenge to deserve beating Bonetail in 1 turn, try getting to Danger Mario by only using 1 stat change, ie:don't level up your HP, ever, then drop it when you can actually activate Danger Mario. Try beating Smorg with next to no HP, that was one of the toughest boss battles I've faced. Smorg is the boss right before you can get Power Rushes from the arcade. So after him, everything is a breeze. And there will be many breezes trying to blow you off as you spend an afternoon or two on the paper arcade game, because that's the one that is easiest to win. But all that sacrifice is worth it to do 99 damage a hit. All I have to say is get good with timing Multibounce, because it's the Pit of 99 Multibounces, and 1 Rally Wink (or the one where you keep jumping on the same enemy, forget it's name). The funny thing is the game only lets you do 99 damage, even if you are supposed to do, say 107 damage. Oh and equip all the badges that cause the enemies to miss when you are in danger, I had like 3, the enemies almost always miss (stupid tarantulas, very hard to time multibounce on) Super Paper Mario. I beat it, but it is far out-shone by its predecessors. Not to mention it completely betrays the series by not actually having RPG-style battles. It's an ok game, but the victor is by far the first Paper Mario.
  23. You may be boring, or people may just hate you for being different, with green font and all. Oh and the gay.com add keeps appearing when I go to this thread, it's disturbing me. Do you have anything to say for yourself emeraldfox? Technically, I've gotten the gay add 5 times this morning (it's on a rampage!), but in the three times I've gone to this thread, it's been there.
  24. That'd be pretty cool. It's too bad none of them inherited his gnarly facial hair.
  25. All yeses. I remember also when Hanz first began his superhero of the week. Meteor will always exist in my PM inbox, if nothing else. I don't think I've ever been in the current creative forum, no time like the present though. Jyoshua, he hated all of us, I swear. I also remember one of Meteor's posts that was something along the lines of "Years from now, we'll all have such crazy high post counts from spamming, that everyone else will be in awe of us!" Again, I don't remember exactly what he said or if it was even him, and I'm far too lazy to look it up. Remember when people actually came here in attempts to talk about FE? Yeah, we have more ToS diehards than FE diehards now, I should imagine. All yeses. Though, I think we really only need FftF and other games. The grand SSB thread was plenty epic. Mostly yeses. Amarao wasn't usually that active. He was mostly active when I yelled at him and got him to post. And I swear Zelgius was never, ever active, outside of 2-3 days. Meteor was the only true spammer, Amarao and I were kinda borderline. Then coolguyvaters came along, and that's when low quality spam first entered the forest. There were only 10 active users for like a month, I swear. Anyways, here's my list... Remember when: Wolt used to post? Meteor posted a screenshot from FE7 *coughEliwood&hisMomcough*? Threads such as "What are you listening to now?" were made for the first time? Vincent abused his modly powers once a week? It was funny though, so we didn't mind. Each FE game had its own sub-forums? Whereas now the early ones are all bunched together. (heh forgot about this one, had to go edit it in!)
