See this is why I have my FE 3DS kept away in mint condition and have my other 3DSXL with a digital copy. That plus I'm the nice person that lets my friends use my stuff and they total don't have the same level of regard for items or cleanliness as me so I have finger prints up the wazoo on both my screens. I keep cleaning wipes handy for that reason.

you use the stylus for this game? i mean i guess you could i just dont see the point. would seem more efficient to not use it. or to just use your finger on the touch screen.

What is unnecesary is the 5 or 6 people literally jumping down my throat and rewording things i have said to things I did not say or do. It's uncalled for, so please stop it. Or they could just not like Sumia as a character as a lot of people have said. She's boring and still a Mary Sue. Not everyone has to like the same characters as you and MyUnit has A LOT of other options anyway, so why does the deciding factor of whether or not they dislike a character have to do with the potential of 1 romance? She's with noone so far in my game and will probably stay that way since I never use her and is perma benched. For the record, MyUnit is also still single but its because she's playing the field keeping her options open focusing on building "friendships" with all the guys everyone before making a choice. (In all honestly I just want to see as many S conversations as possible in one play through). I dont understand why if someone doesn't like a FEMALE character it always boils down to "fangirl jealousy". A lot pf people have logical and legitimate reasons to dislike a character. Sumia is a drab and boring character, plus she sucks as a fighting unit in my game. Therefor I want her to have less screen time in the story and cutscenes, and don't want her crappiness passed down to future units. What part of this is unreasonable? Even if other people's reasons don't seem legit to you, it's their opinion, and this poll is asking for opinions so why gang up on someone who's opinion you don't share? Can I have an Amen? Seriously, I didn't call anyone out for liking Sumia, and I honestly don't care if people love her or make her have all the Chrom babies every play through they do. More power to you guys. I just dont get why my one little comment saying "I dont like her because she seems like a Mary Sue to me" got a lot of people's panties in a knot. Disagree all you want but don't misconstrue people's words or intentions into something they aren't. Agree with most of what you posted. I'm really tired of certain tropes that you see in Japanese games. (not to be read as I'm tired of Japanese games or characters, just certain tropes. and yes, you can still enjoy a game as a whole while still thinking it could be improved.) It's probably why I liked Elencia so much from Goddess of Dawn, because they built her up to something in PoR and completely deconstructed her character in the sequel. I also really liked Sully and Maribelle both as units and characters. Sometimes Sully seems like she's trying a bit too hard but that's part of her charm and Maribelle, for some reason, reminds me of L'Arachel except with a few more marbles in her noggin. For me, they just both seem like they would make better queens (story-line wise) and the fact they can stay alive on the battlefield is also a major bonus.

wanna know whats awesome? my local gamestop actually sold my preorder to someone else. they called me and everything, and i came it to pick it up only to find it was sold to someone else. of course, i already had the bundle preordered and shipped to my house plus had a digital copy on my other 3ds but i still paid for that copy so was pissed it went to someone else. i let it pass because they had another another shipment coming the next day (a shipment of 1 lulz) but still, the employees there must have had a major case of derp to sell something that belongs to someone else.

Not really. Mary Sue is just a very broad term/generalization now that people are more familiar with it. But for the record : Mary Sue And the sub category Sumia is under is "Mary Sue as Idealized Character". She also has a lot of Sue traits (as do several other characters; MU may or may not be included). I get what you and some other people are saying though, just I disagree with it. "Mary Sue" term has since evolved from it's original meaning.

Lol whut. I find it ironic people are saying "dont start ship wars" and i get a bazillion replies defending Sumia when all I said was I liked Chrom better with *anyone* else. Ironic much? Oh wait, guess I'm not allowed to dislike a character someone else likes. Edit: True enough, but I call Sumia out for her Sue-ness because the game makes specific points for her that don't even have any revelance in the game at all. Like when there was a specific scene and CG made for her just to show huge good she is at taking care of animals. I mean really? Ok, but what significance does this have to the story or game? None. I would assume any mounted unit has some animal husbandry skill so why do I need a cut scene for only one character? Sumia's only major fault is that she is clumsy, which isn't really even a "fault". In short, she is just another carbon copy of a shoujo manga heroine. Flat and uninteresting. She can stand right next to Leanne and Micahah previous games under the big mary sue sign. For the record, MU is only as sue-ish as the character plays him/her. You could have nasty MU that gets the shepards more or less wiped out saved for a handful of units you aren't allowed to killed, but you just assume most people play a lawful good MU.

how ridiculously tiny everyone's feet were. or was that just me? Gaia's and femMu's C support, because it was after Chroms x femMu's A + B support. Apparently, someone is making a very bad habit out of walking into places they shouldnt be in.

Prefer FemMU but depending on how much i favor the other potential husbandos that may change. other than that any wife for chrom except sumia. i find her character to be annoying/mary sue-ish plus she sucks as a unit for me. chrom should have had tiamo/cordelia as the other option. i liker her personality+character design better and she's a great unit in my game.

i would tell them to try the demo, which is what i had friend do and she liked it. nothing speaks for the game like actual gameplay.

right now its crom x mu but its still early in the game for me. surprisingly all my ranged characters (mages/archers) are doing *very well*, a lot better than most of my melee characters, but i often pair them up with just about everyone to get a pretty good team. still on my first play through for the game (hard mode) so will have to see about others. sumia absolutely sucks in my game and im only one chapter 8 i think, she needs a lot of babying which is a surprise to me considering in past FE games pegasus knights were my champs. same with sully. planning on having a few map runs with mu paed with ronku and gaia to see how that goes since she is a speed!MU.
