  1. Umm in that case make it + (Power*2) Crit instead of Str and Magic (or whatever the name of your unified stat is). :)
  2. Can I get a quick link, or redirect to the latest patch of this project? Never played it, and it looks very much developed at this point in time.
  3. Dunno about you, but when I saw it, I assumed it is a Tellius sequel far in the future.
  4. If possible could you please add my personal skill (Skorn) to the spreadsheet? It's in this thread but if you require I'll just quickly repost it: Insane Boundary: Crit +10 per kill for that round, throwing in +2 strength per kill for good measure. Cap it out at your discretion, based on balancing (max stat buff per round) Edit: Also just making sure, I get the standard Thief Class Skill of lockpick, but not Lethality (Assassin). Instead I get a Blood Hound personal skill called Redemption: (+Str and +Mag to Crit number, Skill/2 % activation) E.G My forecast Crit is 10%, my character has 15 Str and 15 Mag. Redemption activates, and my character now has 40% Crit.
  5. Hmmm. Overall it's hard, because I'm VERY different depending on what emotion I'm experiencing. You could say it's compensating for the fact that I don't know how I SHOULD feel. So uh, Henry? In terms of each emotion I can recall: General: I dunno, someone chill and amiable. Zihark? Oscar? Sad: I neither hide the fact I'm sad nor do I tell someone about it. Pelleas? Angry: Saizo. Definitely Saizo. Happy: Kieran, or maybe Edward Flirty: Lol, like Male Heather or something, I'm not as rude as Niles I don't think.
  6. Stefan from Radiant Dawn (specifically). We're both slightly detached from the situation but nevertheless, we try to get on with everyone equally. Despite our calm demeanour we are explosive on the battlefield :p
  7. First it was Super Mystery Dungeon, then Fates. Round Three: When will Europe get SMT IV Apocalypse? :')

  8. I really like that idea! Fleshes out supporting characters while giving fresh, new type of gameplay. I imagine these would be optional maps, not required.
  9. Maybe there could be rewards in place for completion...or perhaps discovering strategies and tactics is the reward itself!
  10. I had a thought. While this could work for other games in the franchise, it seems really neat for Fates. What if Intelligent Systems inputted a Challenge Mode, whereupon they designed maps/mini-maps based on learning the usefulness of skills and practical advantages to having certain skills? Ideas I have had are: 1) Lunge-Attack Stance. Set up two characters surrounded by two enemies with stairways on the opposite side to the player: SEPPES S: Stairway E: Enemy P:Player Reinforcements pop up from the stairway where an opponent has been killed. Players must make use of Lunge skill in conjunction with Attack Stance to protect partner, or block a stairway. Challenge is affected by difficulty setting. 2)Poison Touch/Grisly Wound/Savage Blow Units must one round each enemy they come across. Enemy can one shot a unit on enemy phase, and challenge rule is no deaths allowed. Enemies are positioned so that careful field placement will ensure being able to close in from outside range. Player must stack damage with skills in the right order depending on enemy (weapon triangle, bonus damage etc) to one round. 3) Attack-Guard Stance A semi-tank unit is plugging a wall while enemies pour in in single file. Some have ranged weapons too. Player must make use of secondary unit pair up for guard stance and attack stance whenever the situation demand it to survive a set number of turns. What do you guys think would be the response if this sort of thing was implemented? Also feel free to add any ideas you think would be really cool in the comments below! :D
  11. One of my Micky's was a strength and defense type, negating speed penalties pretty early on, and tanking pegasi/myrmidon hits 0_0
  12. As stated in title. Reason I'm making this is primarily because on my current run, Edward has gotten 5 resistance stat ups in 5 levels 0_0 He's level 9 and on chapter 1-4, and he's already exceeded my average level 20 Edward 1-E res for all my previous runs. Have you gotten any oddly lopsided/blessed units? Worth noting that Micky has proc'd defense in 3 of 5 level ups and leo has proc'd speed and defense in 2 of 3.
  13. Name: Nagatora Gender: Male Info: Yukimura's son. A mysterious traveler from the Deeprealms always lost in his thoughts. Class: Apothecary, Personal Skill: Philosophy: Using the Wait command with this unit increases Defense and Resistance by 4 (Drops 1/turn, max is 4) Base Stats: Lvl10 HP: 28 (50) Speed: 12 (35) (Growths) Strength: 13 (50) Luck: 8 (60) Magic: 2 (5) Defense: 10 (40) (All variable with different mothers, let's say this is a neutral Nagatora) Skill: 14 (45) Resistance: 5 (15) Can support Yukimura, Mother, Mitama and Hisame. Can only marry Mitama and FemKamui. Birthright only. As for looks, has slightly disheveled, Mother coloured hair and a bored look on his face.
  14. It works closer to Bloodthirst, do you think the numbers I used are balanced? Do they they need to be higher?
  15. Thank you so much, I know my original sprite looked like he had tall head syndrome, and it was my first time. I will however, take this on board and practice spriting, and yes he looks amazing :)
  16. Also only one mug because he is very good at masking his emotions regardless of what he is saying, whether it be sarcastic or heartfelt. EDIT: Also I realised that Insane Boundary can be something different. Instead of being akin to Bloodthirst, I'd like it to put in effect Crit +10 per kill for that round, throwing in +2 strength per kill for good measure. So killing encourages crit machines on the enemy phase.
  17. Hopefully this loads as an image. Picked up spriting today and this is Skorn, the Dark Thief / Blood Hound mentioned before. EDIT: Having trouble embedding so here's the direct link. Skorn has a gash on his left cheek from fighting with a wolf over scraps, https://s31.postimg.org/74vl8tf6j/Skorn.png As for animations, regular thief / assassin respectively with blue hair. If blue hair needs to be done by me, give me another few days to learn how to do that also. Overall, will this suffice enough to earn Skorn a spot in the game? :)
  18. Probably Venator, 1-2 range, high crit chance and guaranteed hit chance encourages camping just outside his range and luring him out with a tanky unit, then 1 rounding him, otherwise the player is in for a bad time :p
  19. See this is the sort of game design I love, where the bosses have some combination of skills and stats that requires certain approaches. Games like Fates really encouraged that with the environment based Dragon Veins and also enemies in various stances.
  20. Fair enough, then you can decide whether the nerf from Fates is needed. My main reason for it was I sorta assumed since it was a GBA hack it would have lower stat inflation and that ability might have been too broken. But seeing the demo footage, I can see it has a lot of mechanics of newer games also :P As for his taste in women, well, looking through that character list, if this is self-insert, Maddie the dracoknight is looking mighty fine :p Just a suggestion :) And yeah I didn't see any Sniper bosses in the doc and I think they're super cool!
  21. Also, I saw a boss tab on your spreadsheet, so I thought I'd flesh out the guy: Mid game boss: Xenos, Sniper (must be tactically blocked or else patiently baited, if time allows it, given that this chapter I had in mind works best as a Defend for x turns type), Wielding Steel Bow, don't wanna make him impossible.
  22. I see there is a similar kinda guy that goes by the name of Rolo. Maybe a rivalry between those two characters as a support? (just adding a fourth support option to my list)
  23. Do you still need characters? I am happy to provide: Name: Skorn Portrait: Dark Blue short-medium spiked hair, red narrow eyes and a classic thief smirk Affinity: Dark Class(es) (base class and one promotion or promoted base class): Dark Thief, Promoted self-insert idea: Blood Hound (Use Assassin base sprite) Preferred inventory and equippable weapons per class: Dark Thief: Swords, Has lockpicks if necessary Blood Hound: Swords, Dark Magic General join time: Midgame, perhaps only slightly lower level than estimated level range for units to make him accessible. Personal Skill if desired: Insane Boundary: After each kill in a round, gains Str/Mg +4 (Resets after each round, round being player turn + enemy turn) The idea is to pair him with a Dancer for pro strats :p (Based off of Peri's Bloodthirst skill from Fates but nerfed) Some description of stats: What separates Thief from Dark Thief is while both have exceptional speed, Dark Thief trades Skill and Luck for more Strength and Magic, being a Mixed Berserker in the best of cases, and a ridiculous glass cannon in the worst. Lockpick and unlimited chest/door is a good niche use. Some description of dialogue/information (R-button info, level-up quotes (planned on using 3 tiers but many people submit 4, in which case I'll just choose) recruitment and possibly some scenario/support talking, or boss quote (always death quote)): R-Button info: A dangerous killer, with a mysterious past and a penchant for sarcastic flirting. Level up Quotes: Tier 1: Wow...great. -_- Tier 2: About as well as I had hoped for! Tier 3: Perhaps I have a life ahead of me... Recruitment: Must be recruited by the sexiest female in roster (I'm being serious) Support: With recruitment unit: Starts with casual flirting, high enough level reveals disturbing past of being a wealthy heir to a rich family, having said family slaughtered in front of him, and ending up in the slums, where he did horrific things just to survive. Notes that support character has become like a crutch to him. With Lord: Sarcastic jabs at their status, attitude and naivete/ignorance at first. High enough levels has an apology towards Lord, and a promise to be more understanding of everyone's problems, not just his own. With a given Mage: Given Mage is surprised at Skorn's vast intelligence and knowledge with the arcane arts, stating he could wield Anima if he so desired. Skorn hints toward his rich upbringing and high level of education. Mage and Skorn become fast friends throughout the higher levels Some description of recruitment/encounter conditions (anywhere from just how they're recruited (from chapter start, red unit you talk to with hero) to a full chapter idea): Recruitment method as stated above, chapter dialogue will hopefully hint towards Skorn just wanting a fine dame, stating he is pretty bored of killing and looting non-stop. ("Hey look over there who's that _____ haired lady? My word she's a catch!" (hinting at what character to use)). Red unit who will aggro if anyone but said unit enters range, pretty early on in map though, isolated from most other units. Chapter idea: The protagonist army is being assaulted on all fronts by enemy commander's army, Enemy commander reluctantly reveals paying a large sum of gold to Skorn, to enlist his help "That man is the scum of the earth...but I had no choice. We must strike them down here and now!" I spent a lot of time on this, (like 20 minutes :p) I do hope spots are still available! :D
