    FE Recolor

Anyone else having issue with the download? It pops open the download page and then closes immediately without starting the download. Don't think it's my adblocker as I disabled it and tried again.
  2. Been awhile missed you all :) Tuesday eh? So, we're all pretty much assuming we'll get Fire Emblem news at e3 since the last direct. And I'm onboard because you know, they kinda HAVE to reveal it now. Otherwise, everything else at e3 will 100% overshadow it and it'll be Radiant Dawn all over again. Now, here's my addition to the topic at hand... What if FE16 isn't the only FE game that will be announced this Tuesday?
  3. And what would that be...? A medieval fantasy with dragons and magic combined with... A medieval fantasy with dragons and magic? xD The only difference would be open world RPG and SRPG... At that point making a open world FE game is basically the same thing as a Elder Scrolls game. It would have to be extremely well done to feel like a different game if the studios were to make a joint effort.
  4. ^That's true, you have a point there.
  5. Tone what down? I wasn't disrespectful towards anyone, didn't use abusive language, I outlined Nintendo's current strategy (by my view) and criticized it without using profanity, so tone down the disappointment? Well, I said my piece and left. So forgive me for not understanding what you mean by that. Anyway, as for FE16 I don't believe there's another good opportunity for Nintendo to announce FE16 until E3 or after. If it's announced before E3, it'll mostly be overshadowed by Smash. If it's announced at E3... it'll be overshadowed by Smash, Metroid, etc. After E3 well, the same holds true. They've missed their ideal time to announce it, and the lack of marketing has been known to hurt FE in the past. I'm personally a little nervous about FE's sales, a Fall-Winter release usually doesn't go over too well for FE titles.
  6. Coming back here to read all the new "leaks" is fun and all, but I don't think my patience can take it anymore. Gonna go freeze myself, someone thaw me out when it releases.
  7. There was 0 things of interest for me in this Direct, I guess a little surprised smash is coming in 2018 and not next year. Nintendo honestly isn't capitalizing on anything. They will not sell their 20 million units like this mark my words. Their q3+4 has to be absolutely hopping with big name titles if they expect to hit that goal. Their marketing right now is absolute trash. Here's DLC for advance purchase, here's a bunch of indie games, here's a bunch of Amiibos for non original nintendo series. And here's some ports. kthx bye
  8. I enjoyed the new mechanics it introduced, and as long as we're not talking about the story... it was a good game xD Story was just atrocious imo
  9. Eh, don't be so negative. It's the first FE game on a home console since Tellius games, I have a feeling IS and Nintendo will both want to go for something big for this game. Now, we might not see a lot of content in this direct, but give it a proper chance before condemning it to Fates level of bad immediately.
  10. Heh. If Nintendo chooses not to showcase FE16 tomorrow, FE fans could create a new ocean with the amount of salt and tears that will be unleashed.
  11. The word Elegy is of Greek origin if that means anything. Maybe they'll tie in Greek Mythology. They've made many references to Norse Mythology in many many FE games so it wouldn't be a surprise.
  12. Thank you very much :P Your first sentence has a possibility of being true. But then, everything is theoretically possible eh?
  13. I obviously had insider knowledge. Or... it was a lucky guess. The world may never know. <3
  14. Ahem. Just wanted to remind you all, that I called it first, nearly a month ago. :) where's my cookie?
  15. I'll just say, these are medieval fantasy games. How many females were well known in the middle ages for being warriors...? I can only think of Joan of Arc. How many of those female warriors were leaders of an army even? Much less a kingdom, I don't know of any at all of the top of my head (if there is one, please link me to where I can read about it, I'd love to read about her.) Now this is a fantasy game of course, so I absolutely have no issue with a female getting a leading role through the entirety of the game. Lyn's spotlight arc at the beginning of FE7 was really well done. The biggest problem is.. Getting IS to write a really amazing and fleshed out female character and not going the fanservice route. That would be a nightmare for IS, to finally give a female complete leadership in a game, and turning it into a Camilla, Tharja, Charlotte. My point being, it's seeming IS wants to stick fairly close to societal rankings of the medieval times, while still giving female representation in combat. It's hard to find a balance of historical accuracy (which historical accuracy alone does not make a company sexist/racist like KC Deliverance got accused of for not having any african americans in bohemia. That's not to say they're exempt from it but that alone does not make it racist or sexist IMO) and appeasing the consumer.
