Thanks for liking the details ^^ There's much work put into those Info command entries, especially by Wayward Winds. He really helped me out a lot. And yes, you'll be able to make those potions, and weapons, as soon as forging is introduced in v.2.0. As for the Luckos Fang, that was a mistake on my part. It's meant to boost only Str, as there's another item for boosting Mag. I changed the description, thanks for reporting. Nobody has left comments on the Tower chapter yet... hmm. I'm curious to listen to your opinions.
  5. So, v.1.6 is out. It's basically v.1.5 with the following bugfixes: - Some weird text appeared in the Prologue - Garion's death quote in chapter 3 was bugged - The village in chapter 6 didn't display any text - The Mars item didn't give any Str boost - The Barrier staff and the Holy Badge item didn't give a Res boost All of these have been fixed! I've fixed the following: - Chapter 6 village didn't display any text (fixed, it displays correctly now) - The Mars item didn't give any passive Str boost (fixed, it does now) - Some weird text appeared in the Prologue (fixed) - Garion's death quote in chapter 3 was bugged (it displays correctly now) Just download and patch the v.1.5 file again to a clean ROM. As for the Barrier Staff and Holy Badge not giving Res boosts, that's currently being addressed. I'll release a fix asap. Thank you. V.1.6 will be released soon with all of the bugfixes, hopefully. and while I'm at it, I could edit the chapter names of the Tower... I just have to draw them, since they're graphics, not text

Thanks Venno. :D Wow, I had actually forgotten about that hahaha. Anyway I have given him a death quote, it's just a simple an generic "Uurrrrgh!!". So that it fits both the endings. So, to sum it up: CURRENTLY KNOWN ISSUES IN V.1.5 - Weird text glitch in the Prologue (fixed) - Garion's death quote glitch in chapter 3 (fixed) I'll be getting some sleep now. If you're not familiar with them, don't worry, I've included a detailed guide to the installation in the folder. I hope you enjoy the game. :) I had doubts in that regards too at first, but then I checked the pillars in vanilla FE8, and they don't give any boosts to Res either. There are two locations - the revisited chapter 4 map and the revisited chapter 6 map- on which can occur Skirmishes. Each skirmish is available in three different variants (with different starting position for your units, different enemies, and occasionally fog of war). Skirmishes will appear only once per chapter, meaning that after you defeat the monsters on the map, they won't appear again until the following chapter. Monsters will spawn only once before Ch.9, so you'll only have one chance to battle in skirmishes in v.1.5. However, the skirmishes will differ between Fa and Shiori's routes, so the actual number of available skirmishes is two (in three variants). Hence the "couple Skirmish battles".

This version (1.6) has the same chapters as the previous one (1.2) + The first extra chapter in the Tower of Trials and a couple Skirmish battles. So you can say it has a total of 12 chapters for now. > All the chapters in the game have been polished and now feature: - New mechanics - New stats and growths - New dialogues - New secrets & unlockables - New animations - New sprites - New and faster booting I've also fixed a number of bugs from the previous version. - Fixed the cursor in chapter 8 - Fixed the event glitches in chapter 5x - Fixed the pausing/resuming glitch involving Sae'rah's recruitment in chapter 6 - Many more PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR V.1.2 SAVEFILE ISN'T COMPATIBLE WITH THIS V.1.6. I'm sorry, but I had to mess with the savefiles to improve the game mechanics. Don't worry though, this is the only and last time -- v.2.0 will be compatible with your v.1.6 saves.   18. Thank you for all the compliments! Unfortunately no, it's not a matter of file compatibility. The fact is that in order to have more classes than vanilla FE8, I had to apply a patch that also messed up with the old saves. So it was a sacrifice that was necessary for a better game.
  19. The magic/strength split is taking up a lot of time, I basically need to rewrite the stats and growths for every unit in the game. Aside from that, I'm also trying to have more healing items (like Potions) instead of just vulneraries and elixirs. Finally, I need to get some of the Info commands checked by my proofreader, and I'll be done. Approximately it's 3-4 days of work, but I don't have any time now because I must focus on my exams until the 17th. I was hoping to have some free days at the beginning of February, which I didn't, so expect the official v.1.5 release around the 20th of February at this point. Sorry for the wait, get hyped, and have a nice day! P.S. @Asakim, thanks man! v.2.0 will feature even more awesome music, hopefully.

I'm especially glad you liked the story. It's hard to write sometimes, but I try my best to keep things interesting at the very least.

  23. It's an estimated release date. As of now, it's scheduled between Jan 31st and Feb 8th.
  24. Yeah, I actually misclicked and typed 15 instead of 16 lol But I still have to see how the game and the story develops. It may be possible to have 20 chapters in total + about 10 more between tower and ruins, but it's a bit early to decide. What I know for sure, is that I've planned the story and gameplay up until chapter 16. It'd make for a suitable ending, but it's not impossible for me to make 4 more chapters eventually. But again, we'll see that in the next years. I'm not sure I'll get to ch.16 before 2017 anyway.
  25. Thank you! However I must remind you that v.1.5 will only have the same chapters as v.1.2 in an updated fashion, the first floor of the tower and skirmishes. Chapters 9-15, status inflicting weapons, etc. will be released in v.2.0. But the savefile of v.1.2 won't be compatible with v.2.0, so playing v.1.5 in the meantime will be useful. I'll have a v.1.5 changelog when the time comes, anyway
