  1. http://www.siliconera.com/2015/04/02/details-differences-two-version-fire-emblem/ It's looking like Nohr will be more like traditional fire emblem (no world map grinding. Maybe no arenas either (but the faction is inspired by Rome so that's a tossup). While Hoshido plays more like Awakening with all types of grinding available to you.
  2. Complaints about characters aside....we do know that these guys talk more than the 4 times you get them to Support right? I can buy them marrying each other at S rank so long as the A support hints at them showing romantic interest in the other. Of course I don't mind the A support ending with the we're really good friends tone. Especially considering a lot of these characters are little more than awkward teenagers with the fate of the world handing on their shoulders. I honestly expect them to say what they don't really feel or can't explain, at least romantically. That and if we're judging supports soley based off of cutscenes the only ones that past muster is Fred/Chrom, Sumia/Chrom, Lucina/Chrom, Tiki/Say'ri, Basillio/Flavia, and Lissa/Maribelle
  3. I have no idea why anyone hates Virion, especially if they've bothered to read his supports.
  4. I thought Beserkers had the most strength (with Axefaire thrown in) of any physical class?
  5. Yeah, meant her. I didn't know Tiki was bad. As far as passing down mods or just generally not worth the investment like Kellam/Donnell? Another question. How much strength can Morgan end up with a +STR avatar depending on the pairing? Same for a +MAG avatar as well please?
  6. Chrom/Sumia. To put it in simple terms, you get 3 Aether units (Cynthia/Lucina/Chrom). With Chrom/Olivia Inigo inherits Rightful King which is...significantly worse than Aether. And Inigo is still....meh. While if Chrom is on Cynthia she goes from meh to Holy Smokes Aether so good.
  7. Gotcha. Another question. Is Morgan better of having Nowi, Nah, or Tiki as his mother as far as being a manakete goes?
  8. Kay. Gotcha. So dual support+ is a no go. Hrmmm. What skills (and class) should a female Avatar have (Other than GF and LB) if I want to use her as a lead? It kinda sucks MAvatar is stuck as a hard support, which leads me into my next question. Is it possible to turn some of the parents (including Avatar) and/or children into staffbots? Or is it best to just get some spotpass units for that?
  9. How good is a +MagAvatar!Brady? Passing down Veteran to Brady seems intriguing along with passing down DualSupport+ to Morgan (and Brady as well). What options does that open up for the both of them having Ds+? Just how bad are Walhart and Priam compared to Lonqu!Yarne as far as getting an optimized Morgan?
  10. Severa is the fucking worst. Vaike is irritating. I don't like Inigo, but I can understand why he is the way he is. I mean, having someone has Olivia as your mother and inheriting her crippling shyness, while at the same time being surrounded by the opposite sex who are all high-strung and serious (aside from Cynthia occasionally, who's pretty much the female version of Owain) with the weight of the worlds on their shoulders and I can see why he would attempt to put a smile on their faces. But because his mother is Olivia (and shyness isn't easy to grow out of, especially if you force it) he just fails awkwardly, and that only emboldens him to keep trying....and failing awkwardly again. And so instead of trying to lighten the mood, he only succeeds in everyone having a low opinion of him when he's only trying to do something noble, but because of said character trait, backfires.
  11. I just got Cynthia. Should I reclass her to Cav (Paladin) or Archer (Sniper) for eventual longbow/double bow acess? I passed down Aether and Galeforce.
  12. Can you explain why those pairings are good? Also, I don't have DLC anymore because I sold my 2ds and had to erase everything (still kept Awakening because I was planning on getting a new 3ds when the new Fire Emblem came out but....I caved)...only to go get another 2ds a month later. Sigh.
  13. Kay. I have Miriel, Maribelle, and Nowi of the females unpaired. For the males I have Lonqu, Henry, and Libra. Who should pair with who for optimal results? Also. I paired up Fredrick with Olivia. What's the dodgetanking build for Inigo?
  14. Awesome. The way the event and animation editor dropdown/look remind me a lot of Ace. Question: Is there a spell animation editor in place as well? I figure that's one of the things you guys are currently working on, but it never hurts to ask (unless it's already been asked. If it has, my bad :(). But as far as the type of game I wanted to make, it was always Fire Emblem inspired (hence why I spent a month trying to code for such a system (after looking at prototypes on the Ace board) before I realized coding did not come naturally to me and that I was making no headway). Another Question: How many of those classes come preset with FEXNA (unless that's just Fe7x's classes?) and how many would include working sprites that correspond to those classes? One More Question: When you've been including skills and seeing how they interact with the engine, how easy do you think it is to code them (as far as getting them to activate and getting the correct effect) on a scale from: Imbecile, Idiot (where I'm at), Average, Intelligent, Coding Savant (where I consider you, Yeti, and Skitty)?
  15. FEXNA looks a little similar to RPGVXAce in terms of its layout. I actually stopped working on my game in that program simply because I don't have near the amount of skill required in coding to code a Fire Emblem/Tactics Ogre type of system. It'd basically be starting from scratch with no idea what you're doing. It seems like FEXNA at least provides a template and that's kinda why I'm just lurking until the private beta is released. Take your time until you're satisfied with the product/project Yeti. Have you tried RPGVXAce Klok? Am I a little on target in terms of how similar FEXNA might be to it (That's not a bad thing at all. Ace was about as noob friendly as a game program can get)?
