  1. Really enjoying this hack (although in some places the difficulty spikes weirdly). The one thing that creeps me out is Rinoa's sideways portrait... it's jarring.
  2. The next two chapters are going to be hell! BUT THERE IS A LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL, OH LAWD He's still level 7. I can only get him passive experience right now, one point at a time, so we're due for a LONG grind come Ch. 15...
  3. Oh dear! Is there anywhere later in the game I can at least get some light tomes for Loafy? Also he doesn't have a battle animation when equipped, just when he's unarmed. :')
  4. the .gba file created is 18,525,588 bytes, so there's an odd half-MB picked up from somewhere it seems!
  5. Chapter 13. Escape missions are so much harder when your main character is basically a loaf of bread!
  6. Here he is, in all his extremely useful glory! Those pristine tomes, just begging to be equipped ;_;
  7. A couple of units came back as different classes - an axe fighter turned into a cavalier who couldn't use axes but the sprite was okay, but Kieran came back as a Rogue with no swords in his inventory, a description still calling him a dracoknight and a majorly buggy sprite. It must be that, so I'll try to re-patch it. Do you know if I'll lose my game progress? I've made it so far, despite this silly handicap :( EDIT: Also, if anything says 'You've made a good, enjoyable game', it's playing through even though the main character is basically a caravan :')
  8. My Ash is bugged; he started with a Shine time, and is a Lord class with Eirika's sprite, C in light, and no ability to use the dark tomes I keep getting ;_;
  9. Happy Birthday, sorry for being late.

  10. My first game was Fire Emblem 7, the first one released in the UK. I had a new Gameboy Advance, and I was with my brother who'd just got his own. We were looking at all the games in our local shop and, since our parents weren't very well off, they said we could either have one game from the newer releases or go through the lower priced older games and returns. He found Advance Wars in the clearances, and I saw Fire Emblem. It looked cool, it had guys with swords and axes and dragons on it, but I *really* wanted a Kirby game at the time so I got that. For the next couple of weekends, I went to the game shop to look at all the games I could play. My brother was still really enjoying Advance Wars, and I'd finished Kirby, so he leant me AW to play. I loved it, but I thought to myself that it would be cooler if it had the fantasy setting of Fire Emblem, with swords and dragons, instead of tanks. The next time I went in, I saw that Fire Emblem still hadn't sold. I saw that it was Nintendo, like Kirby and Advance Wars, and that it was Intelligent Systems too! So I wondered if the game was turn-based strategy like Advance Wars, and hoped that it was. So I begged my mother to get it for me, and she did. I took it home... and fell in love.
