  1. I hope this is part of why lunatic is coming out later. Incentives for online play to gather data on how people are playing and what would make the game hard. I wouldn't be surprised if enemies started showing up with more effective weapons and range to combat fliers. That being said, it'll probably still just be "warp your over leveled WL to the boss with stride/rallies/dance".
  2. Whoever gets stat screwed. Dancer stats are irrelevant past the charm needed to win the competition (13 iirc). When is your dancer not going to dance every turn? They don't need to be good at anything, which means you don't want them to be a unit with good stats.
  3. Annette has rally str and spd, so I wouldn't put her in dancer. She can super buff your boss killer.
  4. You can get most of the ore from breaking beast armor. I'm not sure about mythril, so it might be an online shop? I haven't used it. I know Ana and the dark merchant don't sell it.
  5. Villager units being really bad? I'm shocked! (They're always bad)...
  6. Warp makes him top tier. My long chapters are ~6 turns due to warp. That's including stalling to grab chests out of curiosity. Linhardt gets lots of xp from spamming physic and warp, which don't depend on his movement. Physic and warp are the best spells in the game imo, with thoron tailing behind a bit. Easy xp, helps movement issues, and enables even more busted fliers/Cavs charging around the map killing everything.
  7. All my post time skip chapters were Dimitri using combat skill/atrocity on bosses for 3x their hp on turn 2-3.
  8. You know, I think I'll spend some time tiering casters. They seem to have the largest constraints given how mounted heavy the rest of the roster will be using efficient/best classes. Within faith users, not having physic is horrendous. I'm currently doing BE (only done BL so far) and I recruited Lysithea for the first time given her growths/spells/etc. I'm finding Lindhardt is out performing her. She does have a much much better offense, which Lindhart doesn't even get close to, but I don't have to baby Lindhardt. He can keep up in xp with physic, which makes it easier to access his warp at A. Perhaps going Golden Deer would put Lysithea higher, since you'd have more time when everyone has crap move to get her going, but only having 1-2 as a caster is problematic.
  9. I've been noticing I don't use my mages very much. They barely leave the starting area and the map is already completed. I've been following solo goal reason or faith and then solo riding once A is reached. Even then, stumbling around with 4-5 move for so long really puts them behind, especially reason units. Faith has physic at least as well as ways to spam spells for xp (rescue/warp/ward/heal lvld units).
  10. No they don't take damage, but they can't use the weapon's unique combat art.
  11. Looks right to me. I'd call weaknesses in the best skills (with no budding talent) a death sentence based off the criteria you've listed. Weaknesses in riding/lances/flying/faith? Go sit on the bench!
  12. Once your professor level gets high, the amount of battles you can participate in when you choose battles for that weekend, you can fight 1 to 2 more maps (3 maps total from A+ Prof and 2 total from B or something). These provide a lot of xp to farm, but the dlc will also allow you to farm xp. The growth rates between classes is honestly not that big. It's a change of like 5-15 % in total. The biggest things from class promotion are stat adjustments, skill proficiency, and MOVEMENT. Getting an extra 1 move may seem small, but movement is the most important stat in Fire Emblem. You get to more places faster, which enables more fights per turn and more meaningful actions per turn. I don't bother with class mastery most of the time. There are very few I find valuable and unless I'm on a auxiliary battle, I'd rather have the movement.
  13. I don't know about the numerical value, but you can see the progress bar when you open their profile along with their other skills.
  14. Putting fan service in the base game? No way, you gotta pay to see some skin lol
  15. I've been surprised by how much they get. Also getting skill xp at all.
  16. Cost of use, ease of use, access to cav/fly, access to top tier spells (physic/warp/seraphim/dark spells etc). It's just hand waving at this point. You could probably move some people into useable, but since most maps are kill commander, if you don't have high movement, buffs, warp, physic you're out. I'm not looking for LTC, but playing slow/grinding is zzzzz and impossible to tier because everything is viable. I put Catherine above because she has no investment, amazing stats, great growths, comes with a top tier weapon (even if it doesn't have 1-2), and never has to leave swordmaster to contribute.
  17. 3 battle points must be at A+. I'm at A and still have 2. Definitely seems like the best thing to rank up for. That extra map is a solid chunk of xp.
  18. S doesn't come into play until the game is over, so I don't think so?
  19. Do we have a consensus on where to upgrade professor level? Does income from the church keep going up with Prof level or does it max out at 5k? Have we confirmed activities which give Prof level and renown don't give renown when Prof level is maxed (or getting both isn't something that happens). I'd assume maxing out Prof level would be ideal since higher income and more things to do each week (especially battle maps) would have rewards in themselves.
  20. I ran killer lance+/short spear+ peg into falcon Ingrid with massive success. Throw her into mages/thieves/myrms on the way to chests for ez gains.
  21. What do people think about the faith spell rescue? I've been looking at Flayn and was thinking she was not amazing, but perhaps this spell could pull her out of permabench/instant dancer. When looking at Dorothea and Flayn, I find it difficult to compare losing meteor and rescue by switching to dancer (I assume dancers just dance because someone else would be better at the task they would otherwise do, so why not just dance the specialist unit?). I can see meteor being great for keeping non-mounted Dorothea gaining xp while lagging behind the team in movement, but rescue can accomplish the same thing while allowing your combat units to do even more on a turn (move wyvern to kill, rescue back, dance, send them to kill someone else).
