  1. Thanks for the link to all those guides. That helped me understand a lot of stuff better. And I guess I'll wait for Luna to get stronger before trying those again. I managed to do Cherie's first one pretty easily, but Luna's is on a whole other level. I've definitely been neglecting Soldier levels. Good to know that Aniki's gym is the best place to use extra Stamina since I'd bee using it to sweep Time Rift levels mostly. And it's interesting to know that SR gear is better for the average played than SSR due to how expensive the later is to upgrade. I'll definitely keep that in mind.
  2. I somehow got spooked by Liana while rolling for Lana. I guess confusion can happen with twins.
  3. Thanks for the input. I'm lacking a solid spellcaster, so focusing on Lana does seem like the better choice. And I'm questioning whether I'm just bad or if the game's difficulty rating is bunk. I'm trying to do Luna's first Gate of Fate mission, which is rated as level 25, with a level 26 and I'm getting absolutely destroyed. Doesn't help that I can't field any unit other than Luna, have no healers and there's way more enemies than allies. Keep looking to see if someone made a guide for it, but resources for this game seems to be kind of thin. I've heard the CN server is ahead, so there might be vids or guides from people who did it there, but I have no idea where to start looking for those if they exists.
  4. Decided to pick up this game last week and I've been having a lot of fun with it despite not knowing a thing about Langrisser. Do have to get used to how premium currency works in this game. Needing 88 for a single pull is kind of baffling when coming from FEH and FGO. Still feels a bit lost about the game's systems, but I think I'm starting to figure it out by picking things up here and there. As far as the units I've been using, I managed to snag myself 4 SSRs from the gacha : Ledin, Luna, Tiaris and Cherie (on top of the one I got from the Path of Light). Considering those units and that the first SRs I got and invested into were Freya, Sonya and Chris, it seems like going with the Princess faction is the way to go for me. I was saddened to learn that Freya falls off later in game due to bosses being immune to her gimmick, but apparently Ledin is the premium replacement for her in Princess teams, so at least I'm set there. Also saw that Liana and Lana were good units for Princess based teams and in general, but considering their banner ends in 3 days, I'll need luck to get them. Might just alternate single rolling between their banners instead of saving for 10 rolls (unless 10 rolls have an increased chance of yielding an SSR) Anyway, for people who would wish to add me, my UN is the same as here and I'm on the Roga Valley server.
  5. Got stuck with an all green summoning ring that gave NY!Fjorm, the only green unit I didn't care about because I already had her. And she's neutral like my first. I'd fodder her, but I can't think of any unit that would vastly improved by getting any of her skills. So when I take into account the duplicate PA!Azura I got from the previous one, I can't say I'm all that impressed with this celebration gift. I would have taken the 50 orbs they gave us last year instead.
  6. Decided to try out buster memes for the final challenge quest with a Jalter + double memelin. Managed to do it in 48 turns with Jalter and both Merlins being at max HP at the end of the battle. It's pretty much as braindead a set up as I've heard. I sometime had 4 stacks of GoA going at the same time and Jalter was dropping NPs every other turn and having an Avenger definitely made the Jeanne and Amakusa fights much easier. Didn't manage to get Edmond, but a yolo ticket on the 5M banner netted me a second Da Vinci, which I really appreciate for the NP damage increase. Can't wait for her second interlude to bump her NP2 damage to the level of her current NP5. Also farmed the doors as much as I could with the free time I had and without using apples. Went from 15M qp to 115M, though I could see that melting quickly with all the skills I need to level on my SSRs. Looking at the Valentines event, the gears from the shop will leave me 4 short of being able to max Merlin, though I hope I'll be able to get them from one of the node in the event. The lanugo will also be appreciated for when I finally get enough Proofs and Dusts to level up Musashi's skills.
  7. My plan was to pull from the colorless or red pool, but that plan got dashed pretty quickly when my session consisted of 4 green orbs and 1 blue. Decided to for green and ended up with my second copy of PA!Azura. Not all that exciting considering that she has nothing of value to fodder. At least she has a better nature with +Atk/-Res compared to +HP/-Def, but it's not like being +1 and +Atk will make her substantially more useful than before since I use her mostly as a support unit.
  8. I was excited for the Dragonflowers until I saw how much it costs to +5 a unit and that it's not grindable. The huge cost would have been fine if we could grind it and not being able to grind would have been fine if it didn't cost an absurd amount, but both combined just mean we have yet another important currency gated behind weekly rewards from PvP modes. I know we can get flowers outside of AR in the Heroic Ordeals, but unless 8 is not the maximum, it's not much. If 8 is indeed the max we can get, that means you need to accomplish 75 ordeals to +5 a single character. I can't imagine how costly +10 an Infantry unit will be.
  9. For the Special Heroes banners, First banner will have a total of 31 units with : Second banner will have a total of 34 units with :
  10. I had missed Arden and Dorcas making a 2 with their hands when first looking through the pictures. It's definitely the best.
  11. Definitely agree. I don't like Camilla all that much and I'm kind of sick of IS pushing her so hard in FEH, but at one point I was sick of how much vitriol Camilla fans were getting during this CYL just because they want to get a Brave version of their favorite character. All the conspiracy theories and personal attacks were getting really insane for what was just a popularity contest for a mobile game. And I know I wasn't addressed the question, but at the moment, I'm split between Elincia and adult Tiki for next year's CYL.
  12. I think it will depend on close to the CYL 4 votes 3H's release date will be and how good its story is. If it comes out months before and its story is Conquest-level, we might see one character in the top 4 since the hype around the release will have died down. But if the story and characters are interesting and/or it releases close to the votes, it might have enough hype to get several of the top spots. It also depends on how popular the game is and by extent, how much Nintendo advertise it. Echoes just dropped out of nowhere, which might be why it didn't have as strong a showing in CYL. At the moment, we know absolutely nothing about 3H other than the reveal trailer. I really hope we'll get an update soon and more attention from Nintendo during the year if it does come before 2020 rolls around.
  13. Spent the 48 orbs I had plus the 9 orbs from the MHB and managed to snag one 5*, who was thankfully Duma. Shame that he's -Atk, but at least he's +def and his weapon kind of makes up for it. I'll definitely put him on my defense team and bless a couple of units to make def losses less painful in Anima seasons.
  14. The moment I saw you had quoted me I remembered all the Festival in Hoshido units have Hardy Bearing built-in. I forget about it because it's so useless most of the time (and even detrimental, like right now). I have a +atk regular Micaiah at +1, but she has a mostly defensive build to bait Rein and Lyn. But, I can probably give my HiF!Micaiah enough Atk by using Laevatain's Atk/Def Link and using Atk/Res Bond.
  15. Don't have a lot of orbs after the Laguz banner, but I'll probably try spending the few I do have sniping colorless orbs. Getting Duma would be the best result to make Def loss in AR less painful, but after wishing I could move my Tactics Room in AR, I wouldn't mind getting Loki and considering my current S!Linde is -Spd, getting any other copy to fix her IVs with the upcoming merge change would be great. Might also chance a green orb for FiH!Elincia Kind of worried about potential Duma spam defense teams since dealing with multiple instance of Upheaval sounds like a pain. Might have to give the Brash Assault/Desperation combo to FiH!Micaiah to allow her to double potential DC Dumas.
  16. With regards to how stats work in Heroes , every unit has a base stat total and growth rates. The default base stat total is 47 and growth rate total 255%, but there are modifiers depending on the unit's type : So if you wanted to bring a Gen 1 infantry ranged unit like Robin or Odin in line with Gen 2, you'd have to do the following calculations : BST = 47(Default) - 3(Ranged) + 1(Gen 2) = 45 instead of their original 44 Growth Rates Total = 255%(Default) -15%(Ranged) +10%(Gen 2) - 5%(Gen2 Ranged) = 245% instead of their original 240% The results would be similar for melee cavalry units like Xander and Camus : BST = 47(Default) -1(Cavalry) + 1(Gen 2) - 1(Gen2 Cavalry) = 46 unchanged from their original BST Growth Rates total = 255%(Default) - 5%(Cavalry) + 10%(Gen2) -5%(Gen 2 Cavalry) = 255% instead of the original 250% As for the idea of buffing older units, I don't think just giving them unique skills will completely fix one major problem with older units : minus a specific few units, they're terrible for Skill Inheritance. Even with a unique Skill, Raigh would still be a dud pull for anyone who doesn't want to build him. If you instead brought his BST in line with Gen 2, gave him a personal weapon and better inheritable skill, that would both make him better as a unit and increase his utility as skill fodder.
  17. While I'm not too fond of Camilla, it's no surprise that she's number 1 at this point. This is the third time around the block for CYL and she ended up in 4th and 3rd places in the 2 previous rounds. She was bound to win it at some point and if it's not this year, it would have been next year. As for the alts, I think people overestimate how much CYL results impact how much alts you get. Celica, who has actually won CYL only has her Fallen and Brave all, not a single seasonal one. Nino, who placed 39th and 12th overall, only has her flying alt version. Meanwhile, Kagero, who placed 86th and 90th overall got two seasonal alts this year. Even if we look at Lyn, who won the first CYL for women, she only has 2 seasonal alts, the other 2 being her Brave version, which happened because of the community and her Legendary version, which isn't all that surprising. Camilla is just a strange outlier since, for some reason, despite not being the most popular in both previous rounds, she managed to get 4 seasonal alts plus a themed alt. My guess is that the devs have a Fates bias (which is entirely possible since I heard the current game director for FEH was the game director for Fates) and Camilla is the Fates character that got the most votes in both rounds of CYL. Plus, most gacha games rely on waifus to sell, so that probably contributes to her being picked over say, Leo or Takumi. So I don't think that Camilla's placement will necessarily influence who gets seasonal alts or not since CYL results didn't help Ike, Alm or even Lucina (who only has one seasonal alt) get seasonal variants. As for the argument that Camilla voters are selfish since they stop characters that aren't in the game from getting in, the only characters that aren't playable in the top 10 of both polls are Lif and Bruno, two enemy only FEH OCs. Add that most people vote for their favorite characters no matter whether they're in the game or not in CYL since they want their favorite character to get a powerful Brave alt they can get for free. And as far as the far-fetched/brave redux of this year is concerned, voting for Camilla in no way impacts who's gonna show up there. At the end of the day, the name of this event is "Choose Your Legends" not "Choose my favorite character because they aren't in the game yet, not your favorite character since I don't like them and they already have 12 alts". Vote for who you want to win and live with the results. It's a shame if your character doesn't make the cut, but that's something that happens in popularity contests.
  18. Grinding in this game is not simple since you'll need to grind in various places depending on what you need. The Daily Quests in Chaldea Gate offer options to grind EXP (Ember Gathering), Ascension Materials (Class Training Grounds) and QP (Treasure Vault). As far as ascension materials are concerned, the Training Grounds are the best place to grind for Gem, Pieces and Monuments, but you often grind other materials from certain Free Quests nodes that appear after you beat certain story quests. I do have to mention that especially for the EXP and QP quests, the Expert level are the most efficient to grind, but you might have trouble doing them currently since you're team is so weak unless you use a support SSR servant to clear them for you. The higher difficulties in the training grounds can also be difficult for beginners, but the Novice and Intermediate difficulties are at least useful to grind for regular gems and pieces. I use this spreadsheet to know what place is the best to grind specific materials, but it does mention the name of later singularities, even some that are currently JP only if you look in the JP tabs of the spreadsheet. If you really don't want to get spoiled anything, you could list the units you want to level up and what materials you need to level them up and I could look up if there's a way for you to grind them.
  19. I do singles roll on the Story gacha from time to time just to see if I get lucky. I managed to snag a Gorgon that way and at the very least, it will actually give me a chance of getting more copies of Bedivire or Jaguar Warrior. Though I can understand why people usually say to keep your quarz for rate up banners. In NA, we can know in advance the banners for the next two years, so if you want a specific story locked servant, it's probably better to save your quartz for those specific rate ups since even you roll a gold servant in the story gacha, it's not guaranteed to be a story-locked servant.
  20. IS announcing a RD banner back in November, my love of the franchise and hope that IS might surprise me with interesting changes for the anniversary are what keep me playing currently. But I've been considering stopping more and more in the last few months. If I'm unimpressed with whatever updates we get during and in the few months after the anniversary, I might just drop the game for good.
  21. That's personally what I've been doing the end of 2017. The only time I spent money on this game since then was for the Orb deal with a Black Knight copy, the Hoshidan Festival banner and the Laguz banner. I do feel like the laguz banner introduced somethings that might end up be frustrating to play against, but having those things tied to units I like and wanted kind of lessen the impact at the moment. The fact that I'm doing better in AR ever since I invested in my Micaiah and HF!Micaiah is also helping me feel not as hopeless as I was with this game (since I'm actually using units I like while still being able to perform decently enough.), though I fear that may fade if the next year follows in this one's trail.
  22. That's the definite impression I'm getting. A lot of FEH recent decisions, be it in terms of units, skills and game modes, definitely look like they're fueled by short term greed. A lot of people seems to be holding on hope that this anniversary's gonna bring some massive changes that will show a change in direction by IS, but I'm personally not holding my breath for that. I think it's entirely possible the game will see a drop in its player base if there's nothing to turn things around in the next few months.
