The only way I've been able to handle Emblem Ike is with Valentine Lyon/Eirika. And even then, it's stupid and really shows how disgusting this game has gotten about power-creep.

We just had an almost entirely Three Houses-focused Christmas banner. But since when does IS care about how soon something was, at least when it comes to Fodlan? I have a hard time seeing them passing up on Three Houses fifth anniversary. I think there's a high chance we see young Dimitri, Edelgard, Claude, etc. But what I hope and want the banner to be is an Echoes banner. Give us the Ram villagers, darn it! Young Alm, Celica, Tobin, Gray, Kliff, and Faye. That's what I want. But, if it is Echoes, I doubt we'll get that, IS isn't smart enough to go with what the banner should be. We'll probably get Alm, Faye, and Celica on the banner, but I wouldn't at all be surprised to see Gray, Tobin, and Kliff left off for some stupid young Berkut or something.

Whether the devs like Ike or not, I'm disgusted seeing them showing him tanking and surviving multiple consecutive hits from Rearmed Reinhardt, and taking out Reinhardt in a single counterattack. Ike, the red unit who should by all rights have been knocked out by the still very new super-powered blue unit. Disgusting.

The new Emblem Hero for this month is Ike.

This week's Arena Ticket was Mia.

Hmm. Interesting. I feel like there's some characters and franchises that are screwed, like Ness and Earthbound, so that sucks. And I'm just guessing that King K. Rool cannot be used because his only Switch appearance was actually on Smash Bros.? Darn it. Well, anyway. I've highlighted every newcomer who has never been in a Smash Bros. game before in bold text. For one newcomer (Andy), if you don't know who I'm talking about, I mean Andy from Advance Wars. I think where the other newcomers are from is pretty obvious, right? For Pokemon, I checked every single Pokemon game on Switch to make sure all of my Pokemon picks were in them, and they are all indeed in at least one of the Switch Pokemon games. Tawna over Crash himself, Cortex, and Dingodile? Bold move.

My AHR summoning was successful enough. I didn't drop a ton of orbs on it, but with my free summon and fourteen more I got my first base Edelgard, another Attuned Peony, and Wind Tribe Claude. Not a bad time summoning. On the New Heroes banner with Attuned Caeda and Ascended Merric, I got both of them plus two Yuliya's, and a bunch of off-focus 4-star-special-rate characters (Minerva, base Claude, Brave Eliwood, a couple others).

Hana got good art, at least. Still not one I'm terribly excited about, but I'm not upset about it either. She's fine, this is fine, it's a kind of "whatever" for me.

As a Subaki fan, I would actually like to see him get something. Anything. A Resplendent, a TT+ alt, something. It feels like he'll join Arthur as the most forgotten Fates retainer. I'm sure Setsuna will get something at some point simply because she has certain assets the men don't have.

Somehow, I completely forgot about Navarre, which is kind of silly of me considering he's one of the Archanea characters people actually know. At least a little bit.

Tiki could be any color they wanted, couldn't she? Red or Green, the two likely color candidates, she could fill them. But that's also the same for Celica, Lyn, Micaiah, Lucina, and some others.
