  1. some spare animations that i have discarded as they did not turn out how i imagined them to be, or were used for testing/learning purposes. i have no plans or desire to finish these particular ones as i will not be using them for my private collection of hacks. so feel free to use/finish/do whatever with them. have a nice day~! ;D Discontinuted Animations.zip
  2. half true, a friend gave me a rough (basic lines) draft to use, i then threw it on a scaling background and colored it and detailed it. then converted to 16bit via usenti. ill give a shoutout to him for the initial rough-draft, but he has no interest in this game so he prob wont even visit these forums. might think about making other mythical creatures after her. the next in line would be a succubus. >:3
  3. so i just got done creating and importing my first portrait for FE8. shes a Lamia, a new class im attempting to create. (off shoot of gorgon only on the heros side ;D ) here is the standing animation i have for her atm. (wip) before anyone asks the portrait is intended to have that faded look, but what you think so far? (could do with cropping the edges better to remove the background i used for scaling, but for now it was proof of concept.) edit: shoutout to my friend for the inital rough-draft to draw-on/
  4. so i have a prototype script i made for a custom animation, but when i got to load it in FEeditor i get an error: "Unexpected error loading or reading the script" here is the script i am currently using for the animation: anyone know what i am doing wrong? i learned a bit since the OP, after searching the information superhighway and finding a more dumbed down tutorial then the one blazer wrote, but im still having problems trying to import anything beyond the standing animation.. =/ also, here is what i am working on for my first animation: (starting off easy with a remake/remodel of the blind archers halberdier animation before i step-up and go full custom drawing)

  6. now that i think about it if anyone has a completed animation script .txt file i could use for a refrence that would be extremely helpful. im trying to make a magic user atm also if that helps. ^-^

Hi, i just started getting into the hack patching scene. was working on some battle animations. for now before i make fully custom animations, im trying animations ripped from FE6 to figure out excatly how everything works out. i got the sprites ready, and a script file from the tutorial file from Blaze, but when i got to the "customer battle animations scripts" at chapter 58 i just got dead-walled. i took a look at the "0x85 Command Usage" doc from the nightmare modules. and it didnt help me that much. im looking at all the different commands and such and its just frying my brain.. o3o is there a simpler way to describe how to do this? i got the standing animation working in the game, but i have no idea how to code the rest of the sprite frames into the animation. still looking at the docs but any help is apprecatied, thanks! i should prob say that i have no scripting experince, as most of my experince is artisic-based. but i researched enough to know how to mod chars, items, a few chap datas and maps, etc trying to expand my hacking knowledge here.
