I don't know what setting you play Path of Radiance on but I play Maniac mode. Path of Radiance's gameplay is far and away better than Gaiden's or Echoes. Second of all I never once called Path of Radiance the pinnacle of the series. Favorite does not equal best. Also, I never once declared artwork, music, or even script worthless. I implied that it wasn't worth going through Echoes to enjoy those things when the gameplay is shit and there are other means to enjoy them.

And therein lies your problem. Fire Emblem is a TRPG not a RPG. Gaiden and Echoes fail at both. GameXplain and NintenDann saying it feels a lot like an actual traditional RPG is nothing to be happy about.

Yes, I have. Big whoop. Metacritic gave Awakening a high score as well. Hardcore fan opinions are more reliable than review sites. They are generally biased towards games especially if said game is a part of a series they like. The game coming out in Japan a few days ago doesn't matter either since the gameplay is largely the same as it was in Gaiden. Having better gameplay than Awakening is not a hard feat to achieve and Gaiden's/Echoes' gameplay has a lot in common with Awakening.

But not every game ever made has shit gameplay like Gaiden and Echoes do.

I could easily listen to Echoes' music on Youtube. Now unless you can read Japanese how do you know that Echoes' has a good plot? Also, the plot could also be read from the script that will eventually be available on Serenesforest or just by watching Youtube videos. Who would play a game for art? Mila's Turnwheel just makes the game easier than it already is in combination with Retreat. Forging sucks in Echoes and requires a lot of coin grinding, supports can be viewed on Youtube or Serenesforest, and Skills can't be doubled with and are attached to Weapons. Echoes could've been good but IS ruined the one ingredient that makes a game a game and separates it from movies and novels.

Gameplay is disappointing so I'll just be sticking with Conquest.

Ike's Resolution, Against the Black Knight with an altered composition, Change of Scenery, Crimea Attacks, Congregation of Ambition, Clash, Decisive Attack, Defensive Battle, A Mighty Foe, and many more that I don't feel like listing.

Well Awakening got plenty of good reviews that I disagree with so I think we'll be just fine. Although Gaiden isn't exactly a very well-liked game in the fanbase from what I've seen.

I don't know how anyone can't see the gap in realism between Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Fire Emblem: Awakening. Awakening feels like a sitcom. The older games definitely took themselves more seriously and were more believable.

Don't you mean Intelligent Systems? Or are you fearing for the localization of this game? Why a dancer when we could get a Bard? I don't believe we've had a Bard since Nils.
