  1. I've never used him to such an extent, but looking at his growths, bases etc, he's certainly never falters.
  2. While it's not definately known, my theory is that it follows the rules for the Avatar. The DLC/Spotpass character use an Avatar model, and also have a stat as an Asset/Flaw for caps at the very least. This at least indicates to me that their growths likely follow a similar trend. If this is true, to calculate them, just go to the maximum stat modifiers, go down to the character's Asset/Flaw, then go to the growths page, plug it into the Asset/Flaw of the Avatar, and there is the units growths.
  3. I've never used him, but from what I've heard he's definately an Oifaye. Thracia's low caps makes the fact that he doesn't grow too well less noticable, and he will always be valuable, like Marty (in my opinion), for capturing. And the Oifaye archtype exists. Jeigans like Marcus as you said are reduced to utility/rescuers my the end of the game, while Oifayes like Seth and Titania are still top level fighters by the end.
  4. At least twice now the Spotpass notice from Anna has had a mistake. First it mentioned that Lost Bloodlines featured characters from FE9/10 rather than 1/2/3/4/5. And today, it said that Thracia 776's teams are now obtainable, rather than FE4 Gen. 2. It really seems like the people who write those notices have no idea what's actually going on.
  5. I turned Morgan into a Bride. Her quote: "Do I look like my father in this?" I was thinking uh... I hope not.
  6. I want to max out that number, and as far as I know it's 20. If that's the case, does that include DLC characters? For example, if I recruit all 17 of them, do I only get 3 Spotpass characters? Or can I still get 20? On that note does count as legacy or regular characters?
  7. I haven't payed any attention to that comparison, but look at Magvel and Tellius. They look just about identical just rotated.
  8. I found another one. Malice's team has a Fighter (Dice), an Archer (Castor), a Thief (Ricard), and a Myrmidon (Navarre). All of these characters are on a team in BSFE Episode 4. If I find more I'll edit into this post in order to avoid double posting. Edit: Roro (Legion)'s team consists entirely of Berserkers with the same weapons/stats/skills as Roro himself. This alludes to his clones. Lachesis (can't even spell her translated name) team has three Paladins, refering to the Cross Knights from FE4 Chapter 2. Edit2: Sigurd: 4 Paladins (Noishe/Alec/Finn/Quan), a General (Arden), a Great Knight (Lex), a Dark Knight (Azel), a Valkyrie (Ethlyn), and a Bow Knight (Midir)
  9. After reading the Taguel origin topic (and it's progression into the evolution of Manaketes) I thought it would be an interesting discussion to see how the worlds/continents of the series comes together and links. As far as I know it is canon that Ylisse/Archanea, Valencia/Valm, and Jugdral are all in the same world. The question here is how do they fit into a timeline? Which continents events happen first? Then there is Elibe. I believe that on the other side of the Dragon's Gate is either Archanea's Fane of Raman or the Alterspire (FE11 Chapter 24x). This would place Archanea in an alternate dimension. Once again, "when" does the other side of the gate go? When Nils returns, when is he going? I can only guess that it is before the early wars, since there is no mention of violence. Magvel seemingly doesn't fit in anywhere. Either it's another continent in Elibe or Archanea's world, or it's another parallel dimension. As for Tellius, I actually think it fits in at the end of the timeline. It is a seperate continent in the world of Archanea, the Laguz are descendants of the Taguel and Manakates. The reason I place it here is because of the Great Flood. This would have destroyed all other continents. I'm guessing on a lot of things here, and I haven't read in depth interviews about the series. However, I think it would be interesting to see how everything fits together.
  10. Thank you. This will make grinding them much easier.
  11. If I have my Avatar/Morgan with both the Paragon and Veteran skills, how much more EXP do they gain? I can guess either 2x (nulls Veteran), 3x (multiplies the two), or 2.5 (adds the two). Does anyone know which one it is?
  12. That makes sense. I do have to wonder about Cigyn though. I can understand once is rebelling. But twice, meaning there is a chance of a boy and a girl, despite incest, could and did lead to Loputosu (how do you spell that?)'s return. Cigyn must have been extremely careless to let this happen, and it clearly wasn't just some passerbyer, given the noble standing of her "mates".
  13. Great . I don't play intensively, but do like the idea of Lunatic+, so I doubt I'll ever play Lunatic+ Classic. That said, I'm a completionist, so I will have to unlock it. Thanks everyone!
  14. I want to not only unlock Lunatic+ Casual, but Lunatic+ Classic. I know to unlock Lunatic+ you need to beat Lunatic. But do you have to beat Classic to get Classic, or will Casual do both? If so will beating it on Classic unlock Casual? Sorry if this has been asked before, but I really didn't want to search through pages of topics to find an answer.
  15. One thing that keeps coming up in my google searches for FE Awakening is the term "internal level". What exactly does this mean? As I understand it, using a Change Seal adds to the value, which slows EXP gain, even at level 1 unpromoted. But how much does the value increase? Is there a limit to how high it can rise (I seem to remember 20 in NM and 50? in LM/+ Mode). And if it does cap out, does that mean that a level 1 unpromoted unit will be gaining EXP slower than a level 19 promoted unit?
  16. I didn't know about Deirdre's upbringing environment. What you say makes complete sense. What I don't get then is, how for so many generations Maira's descendants have managed to have children. You would think at one point someone would have had the self control to not have a child.
  17. Some of the one's I can think of: La'rachel's team has: a Berserker (Dozla) and a Trickster(Rennac) Prince Marth (from FE1/11 not 3/12) has 3 Paladins (Cain, Abel, Jagen) a Sniper (Gordin), a Pegasus Knight (Caeda), a General (Draug), and a War Monk I assume to be Wrys. Eirika's team: a Paladin (Seth), a Cavalier (Franz), a Knight (Gilliam), a Pegasus Knight (Vanessa), and a Priest (Moulder) Ike: a Paladin (Titania or Oscar) a Warrior (Boyd), a War Monk/Cleric (Rhys/Mist), 2 Snipers (Shinon and Rolf), a General (Gatrie), Sage (Soren or Rhys/Mist), an Assassin (Volke), and a Falcon Knight (I assume Marcia or Elincia) And some "obscure" (as in, not completely obvious, but close enough): Minerva's team contains 3 Falcon Knights (Catria, Paola, Est) Ogma's team contains 3 Warriors (Barst, Cord, Bord) Serra's team: a Mage, a Knight, and a Thief (Her three potential husbands, Matthew, Oswin, Erk) Hector's team: a General (Oswin), a Trickster (Matthew), and 2 Falcon Knights (I'm assuming his potential wives, Florina and Farina) Eliwood's team: 2 Paladins (Lowen and Marcus), 2 Warriors (Bartre and Dorcas), 2 Generals (Hector and Oswin), a War Cleric (Serra), a Trickster (Matthew, and a Swordmaster (Guy) Mist: a Cavalier (Oscar), a Fighter (Boyd), a Archer (Rolf), a Mage (Soren) I just went through the game checking, but these are only from the teams that have been released.
  18. I forgot about that Ike one. Is Radiant Hero the one where you get Priam? It would make sense, but obviously I've never played it. Priam skills are an allusion as well. He doesn't have Aether, but he does have Sol and Luna, it's component skills.
  19. Playing through FE13, there are many allusions to previous games. I thought it would be nice to have a page on the main site dedicated to listing these (like the reused maps, but more extensive). I am going from memory from my experiences, and thus there are likely many more, which can be added by users. Off the top of my head (in no order): 1. Owain refers to his "Binding Blade", "Axe of Dorcas" and his "Leaping Laguz" fighting techniques 2. Owain says "by the axe of Kieran" (something like that), "Shinon Strike", and "The red hair of Eliwood" 4. Owains battle "grunts" consist of "SHADOW DRAAAAAGON", RADIANT DAAAAAWN", and "SACRED STOOOONES" 5. Henry refers to seeing a man turn into a crow 6. In Nowi and Stahl's support conversation, she names the bird "Janaff" 7. Cherche's wyvern is named "Minerva" 8. In Sully and Stahl's support conversations she compares herself to Cain, and Stahl to Abel 9. Cynthia refers to Palla, Catria, and Est, and their triangle attack 10. Nowi in one of her event tile quotes says (paraphrased) "I met a new dragon friend. What was his name, Banter, Bant?" As said, I'm sure there are more, but I think this would be a nice addition to the main site.
  20. If they accept Deirdre because she is Maira's descendant, why wouldn't they accept Alvis for it? Is it just because the Verdanians (is that the term?) are more accepting? Given that their soldiers are bandits, I can't imagine they'd be open to a Loptian woman. The people of Grandbell I would think are more civil, and would be more likely to accept a man of Maira's descent.
  21. I have beaten the game completely and am now maxing out my characters. I intend to get all skills, max stats, etc. However I am wondering how my choices are for final class (where they'll end up). The first group is my main team, while the others are fillers, and there because I have to perfect everything. I am going for best stats for the character, and for diversity (I don't want Noire and Virion to be a Sniper, for example) Chrom-Great Lord Male!Avatar-Grandmaster (Asset: Speed; Flaw: Luck) Olivia!Lucina-Paladin Lucina!Morgan-Dark Knight Vaike!Owain-Berserker Chrom!Inigo-Swordmaster Ricken!Brady-Sage Gaius!Kjelle-Great Knight Frederick!Cynthia-Falcon Knight Gregor!Severa-Hero Donnel!Gerome-Wyvern Lord Stahl!Yarne-Taguel Libra!Laurent-Sorceror Virion!Noire-Sniper Lon'qu!Nah-Manakete Lissa-War Cleric Frederick-Great Knight Sully-Paladin Virion-Bow Knight Stahl-Great Knight Vaike-Warrior Miriel-Valkyrie Sumia-Bride Kellam-General Donnel-Dread Fighter Lon'qu-Assassin Ricken-Sage Maribelle-Valkyrie Panne-Taguel Gaius-Assassin Cordelia-Dark Flyer Gregor-Hero Nowi-Manakete Libra-War Monk Tharja-Sorceror Anna-Trickster Olivia-Dancer Cherche-Griffon Rider Henry-Dark Knight Say'ri-Swordmaster Tiki-Manakete Basilio-Warrior Flavia-Hero Gangrel-Trickster Walhart-Conqueror Emmeryn-Sage Yen'fay-Swordmaster Aversa-Dark Flier Priam-Hero I know that's a LOT of info, but I'm wondering how good some choices are.
  22. Manfloy, for many of the previous reasons. His manipulation was excellent, and his presence was always there, even if there was a large gap between physical appearances. I also like Alvis. I really felt sorry for him. He had noble intentions, and wanted a peaceful empire, but was twisted by Manfloy away from his ideals. His final act was to betray his own son, and yet, either for pride or to protect Julia, he still fought Celice, even if he would rather join him. He even aggrovated Celice by calling his father "pathetic" because, at least I saw it as, he wanted to die, and be freed from Manfloy's manipulation.
  23. Before you recruit Deirdre in FE4, it is mentioned she cannot assossiate with men. I can interpret this in two ways; 1. She's a priestess or nun of some sort, and they are supposed to remain chaste. 2. They all know of her Lopt blood, and her reproducing could cause the return of Loputousu. It's most likely the first one, given how people with Lopt blood are burnt at the stake, and thus her lineage is a secret, but I can't help but wonder if that's a factor.
  24. I know. I'd just rather be safe than get banned over this.
  25. He has facial hair? I never noticed. I said scalp because that's where his hair would normally be. Edit: The eyebrows I noticed. Not the beard.
