  1. Like everyone else here, I don't think it really adds anything to the games. Because player controlled characters are expected to have good hitrates, biorhythm's effects only become noticeable when they hurt the player, which is pretty annoying most of the time. It's one of the few tellius mechanics I'm glad they got rid of.
  2. Fair point. As for giving armors axes, it would kind of depend on the context of which FE game you'd want to talk about. After all, lances aren't exactly a bad weapon type to be stuck with most of the time. So while giving them axes would probably help them a little, I think a buff like that would largely be missing what makes armors bad in the first place. After all, earlygame where maps are smaller and tanky units are scarcer tends to be where armor knights shine the most.
  3. I think a simpler answer would just be to give them the same movement as other footsie units. Giving them partial wtc is only so helpful if they can't reach the enemy to begin with.
  4. not condemning drone strikes =/= "They're probably radicals, so just blow them up anyway". Also please respond to my other questions regarding the arbitrary way you're talking about killing potentially innocent bystanders.
  5. Let's play spot the war crime. How do you know that the civilians and families are "basically indoctrinated"? how far away from ISIS do they need to be before they aren't considered terrorists? What if an ISIS member's family has no knowledge of their relative's occupation, are they still indoctrinated? Flying into a village and bombing the thing to rubble because you think there are some terrorists there sounds like a better way to make enemies than anything I could come up with. As hawkish as Hillary's foreign policy is, I'm glad she at least has never openly advocated for war crimes.
  6. Economics and trade was one of their first talking points iirc
  7. Jorge and Minerva in fe11, Calill in fe9, and Isadora in fe7 just off the top of my head. In terms of well designed Jeigans, I think fe6 Marcus and Jagen himself are the kind that I prefer, Marcus especially.
  8. Except Thomas Jefferson attacked the British over their use of slaves in the original draft of the Declaration of Independence.
  9. The point still stands, if the founding fathers so wholeheartedly believe in freedom from tyranny, why did they allow slavery to stick around? nearly 90 years after the people of the US were "freed from tyranny", there were still natural born Americans sitting in shackles for their entire life.
  10. I always end up using and pairing up Noishe in fe4, despite the fact that he's mediocre at best in gen 1. And in fe10, I always make it a goal to get Leonardo to promotion level before part 3.
  11. Because teamwork is hard to program.
  12. Convoy access is too situational for a dedicated unit imo. I only ever need it if I forgot to bring a dragonslayer or something, and even then it's better to have it on the lord, who is on the front lines and can probably reach the unit in need more easily. If it were to be reintroduced, a combination of FE6's and FE7's like others suggested would be they way to go, although I'm absolutely against giving them combat ability as they'd just sort of outclass other units in terms of who to invest in.
  13. My heart goes out to the victims and their families, which I hope have all been informed about the status of their loved ones. It still saddens me to see an event like this once again go through the process of being politicized to argue about guns and, in this case, muslims, only to slowly fade away without any major progress being made until the next tragedy strikes.
  14. While I like the idea of unique class portaits for each character, as it was brought up earlier, it's incredibly difficult to make so many. I think a nice compromise would be to have unique portraits for each character's base class options, limiting it to two or three portraits per character. I'm a bit surprised you didn't touch on supports and how incredibly unevenly they're spread in Fates, although you can't really get rid of many supports without jeopardizing the second generation mechanic.
  15. Shura, Scarlet, and Reina are definitely the biggest offenders of the sort of outsider feeling of the avatar sexuals. Yukimura and Izana also sort of have this, but they play a larger role in the story and don't have as many connections to the regular cast as the first three. What really frustrates me about this is that these three all have at least one clear support with another character (Azura, Ryoma, and Orochi respectively), and yet unlike Awakening, the game never capitalizes on this.
  16. 1 Pelleas 2 Matthew 3 Noish 4 Echidna 5 Treck 6 Mordecai 7 Vaida 8 Knoll 9 Titania 10 Stefan
  17. -fe8 is the most boring fire emblem game -Lyn was fe7's biggest mistake -fe12 flanderized Roger beyond likeability -Roy is bad -Dual strike/guard was way too luck based in Awakening. Fe14's approach to it is one of the main reasons I'm buying the game
  18. Dew fares well against the pirates in chapter 3, and giving him a magic sword would also be a good idea. Noish/Fury would be nice if you want a good Fee.
  19. My favorite story would be fe6's, which while it does fall short of its pre-sequel in a lot of areas, I like it because of how much effort it put into the world building of Elibe. That said, I haven't replayed it in a while, so I'm just gonna focus on the Western Isles as they stuck with me the most. The Western Isles in the grand scheme of Elibe are little more than a pawn of Etruria who's rich resources would give Etruria an upper hand in its power struggle with Bern. What we witness when Roy visits it though, is one of the most victimized areas on the continent. Etruria's hold on the continent is shaky at best, with so many areas concealed by mountains and water, piracy is rampant and the Etrurian nobles have no intention of going out of their way to stamp it out. Speaking of which, the nobles that inhabit the Isles also take advantage of their isolation and resources to work the locals like slaves, sometimes even employing the pirates for terror when it benefits them. Such a corrupt and awful place is no doubt what Zephiel had in mind when he made his move to destroy humanity. But look even deeper and there is a source of hope, even from the Isles' biggest oppressors. Mildain is the lost prince of Etruria, who much like Zephiel, had an attempt on his life. Unlike Zephiel though, Mildain didn't let this trouble anyone else and exiled himself to the Isles. Becoming Elphin to hide his identity, he decided to help the people after seeing all the abuses they faced. Him, Echidna, and the rest of the resistance force come to symbolize hope for the people of the Western Isles, and shows Roy the capacity for people to do good in the face of adversity. On a somewhat related note, I found it really cool how the Eight Legends personalities reflect the country they created. Durban the Berserker, inhabiter of the Western Isles, lacks any sense of self, perhaps showing a lack of identity the residence has under Etrurian rule, and Durban calling himself Armads might show the state of 'might makes right' the isles are in with the prevalence of piracy. Don't have a least favorite plot atm, so I'm just gonna say fe14 nohr and point to that subforum.
