  1. Why did I spend so much time on this: Name: Adelaide (Nohr) / Eika (Hoshido) Birthday: February 17th (This was my Robin's birthday, though I just realized that it's Nyx's birthday too, lol) Difficulty: Hard / Casual Asset/Flaw: +Speed / -Resistance Spouse: Leon (Nohr) / Takumi (Hoshido) [There's some sort of trend going on here...] Secondary Class: Bowman (Nohr) / Dark Mage (Hoshido) [Get it? Hahaha...] Bio: Adelaide/Eika is righteous, headstrong, and idealistic, though she often wavers between being sure in her decisions and wallowing in self-doubt. A soft woman with a tough exterior, she sends fear through her enemies with piercing eyes and harsh battle cries, but cries at the drop of a hat in the company of her loved ones. She is sympathetic, though not naive, and while commoners say that the dragon princess is a cold and calculating woman, she treats those close to her with the utmost gentleness, almost as if they were made of glass. The most meticulous at folding things. Additionally, a cool person on Tumblr did this edit for me, so this is essentially what I'm picturing my Kamui as in my head. I mean, she's gotta have Mama Mikoto's hair, right? Somehow I feel like this makes everything even more wrong (lmao Takumi's "What would mother say?"):
  2. Favorite Character(s) Shared? Favorite Nohrians? Favorite Hoshidans? Favorite Kids? Favorite All-Round?
  3. - Flora/Joker because reasons. It's too bad they can't support. - Leon/Takumi, of course, because of that one support conversation, but in terms of supports I really like Leon/Nyx and Takumi/Kazahana. (Sorry Oboro...) - I guess I also like Ryouma/Marx and Camilla/Hinoka because that third route ending made it way too easy to ship your siblings together. In terms of Kamui pairings, I'm not even a huge fan of Marx but I feel like Marx/Femui fits nicely into the narrative, as does Mamui/Aqua because of the Chrom/Robin vibe it gives off.
  4. Thanks for the translation! I can't wait to see this translated in the western version. A question, though: can you play this DLC in any route at any time? It seems a little bit out of place for the DLC to be logically possible in the middle of a war, and given that you only get half the siblings in each route, shouldn't the only possible point that this DLC would happen be at the end of the 3rd route?
  5. I find Sakura cuter in design, but Elise cuter in personality (that 3rd DLC cutscene really sold it for me.) It really makes it hard to choose between Conquest/Birthright because choosing one would mean abandoning the other imouto. The real question, however, is which little brother is cuter, hahaha...
  6. I do remember someone saying that the "popping in" thing just happened in Treehouse because they haven't fully worked out the kinks yet. Not sure about the Japanese version's glitches, though I'm hoping it'll be fixed for the Western release. As for voices, it's just that I'm so attached to voice actors like Mamoru Miyano, Miyuki Sawashiro, etc. that anyone else would pale in comparison. Even so, I did like the English voices in Awakening, especially regarding female voices that were all "awaawawawa" and squeaky in the Japanese version but toned down in English. (Other things I liked included the use of cheesy critical quotes, Gregor's accent, etc. etc.) Thought that both Morgans had weirdly low voices, though, so I hope the Kannas get more childish ones. My bigger concerns are over support-related things, mostly how Awakening took supports and changed their meanings (Chrom and Sumia's pie supports, for one) and how the confessions just had lines that were over the top cheesy (Gaius comes to mind here). There were also some event tile/onsen lines that I particularly liked, so hopefully Fates will stay more true to the original text.
  7. I can't wait to see the third ending cutscene. I've really grown to like both families a lot and getting to accept them both as kin is going to make for a glorious ending to the third route. On the other hand, if you shove aside everything that actually happens at the end of the game, I'm personally more biased towards the Nohr route but I like Hoshido's ending much more. The characters seemed much more warm and inviting than they did in Nohr.
  8. This time around, I'm one day off from Soleil's birthday. Kind of disappointed, but I guess I shouldn't complain since Gerome from Awakening has the same birthday as me.
  9. Spoilers below. You've been warned. I'm never one to avoid spoilers so I learned pretty early on that two of the siblings from the family you don't side with have scripted deaths. Along comes those rumors that claim Sakura gets killed by Nosferatu or that Leon and Camilla can possibly die when you fight them as bosses. Before I learned that Takumi is the final boss and other scripted sibling death in the Nohr route, I mentioned to a friend that it was kind of interesting to have the sibling deaths be the same despite which route you take, with both the big brother and little sister dying. I haven't seen anyone else talk about this, but now that we know who actually dies and who actually lives, I was curious if anyone else would have preferred the sibling deaths to parallel each other? I always felt like having Hoshido losing both princes/brothers seemed a little lopsided, and maybe almost unfair, compared to Nohr losing one brother and one sister. Maybe it's just me, but choosing Takumi to die in general just seemed kind of random to me. Would you rather have had a different sibling die? Would having Sakura die to parallel Elise or Leon die to parallel Takumi be more impactful? Why do both big sisters get to live?
  10. Personally, I'm a huge fan of the Hoshido designs. Maybe it's just that being Asian naturally makes me more favorable towards Asian-themed designs/aesthetics, lol. Like most people I was generally more interested in Nohr's story (though that may be subject to change) and when I compared the two families (ie., Marx to Ryouma, Camilla to Hinoka, etc.), I liked the Nohr siblings more. I also liked the children characters and the return of the Awakening children in Nohr more than the children characters and the adult Awakening characters in Hoshido. However, in terms of classes and other units and the whatnot, I think I prefer Hoshido more. I guess the two games balance each other out in terms of my preferences, which means I’ll have to get both of them and the third route, hahahaha... I also felt less bad siding with Nohr, seeing as Kamui grew up with them. Hinoka and Takumi seemed significantly duller compared to their Nohr counterparts, Camilla and Leon, as well. After learning about Nohr’s storyline, I’ve definitely warmed up to Ryouma and Takumi, though the two Hoshido sisters will have to work slightly harder to win my heart from Camilla and Elise.
  11. Do we know what happens to the Kingdom of Nohr afterwards?
