  1. Already mentioned it in other threads, but I expect sothis to round out the 3H cast, assuming the 3H banner on the 27th includes byleth, edlgard, dimitri, and claude, sothis would complete the primary cast, that way any future banners are more free to use whomever. As for medeus, I think it is too early for him, naga just showed up, and she was mystery and awakening, as for elibe, that is also too soon, I don't think they would double dip with athos or barimond immediately after eliwood. My guess is either formorits or sothis, loptus, could also happen if they decide that geaneology exists again, but I doubt it.
  2. honestly if there is no customization, I would rather just not have a player character at all, I mean corrin, robin, and byleth will never be near as great of characters as Eliwood, Ike, or Marth and that is because they are forced to be generic enough to insert yourself into them.
  3. I will be very disappointed if byleth doesn't have one of his criticals as "class dismissed" or some other stupid teaching puns. I do like free $60 content myself, byleth is a pretty obvious choice though, now for sothis as a mythic (nb4 gets forced to wait a year for sothis on 3H banner #3 like myrrh) and I will be satisfied.
  4. this seems... unsanitary, I hope they have someone playing pool boy otherwise the topic of bathing seems meaningless. well, now I'm wondering if alphonse's little folkvangar is bigger or not than one normally would be.
  5. Don't know, I've been playing warriors recently, other than that, may start ignoring the TH board just so I can experience it a bit more raw.
  6. not terribly related but, can we please stop using the word illogical when talking about magic and dragons and such, fantastical, most assuredly, but the claim that it is illogical only shows a painful lack of knowledge of the nature of logic, put in the most simplistic way possible logic fundamentally boils down to "if x then y", magic is perfectly logical when introduced into a setting provided you don't go establishing and then breaking your rules it is perfectly logical, same applies to dragons. I am really getting tired of people going "bu- bu- bu- but, muh magic n' dirgons" when we start talking about logical tactical decisions being made in games, just because our fantasy world has dragons doesn't justify our hero acting illogically. as for the topic, I am indifferent to the idea of leaving the monastery, I would like if they made a base camp layout which could just be placed on the existing maps so the campaign could feel more natural, but other than that, I really don't mind either way.
  7. I personally am expecting a banner at the end of july featuring byleth, edelgard, dimitri, and claude and sothis as our mythic for that month, possibly a GHB to introduce the other byleth, or exclude byleth all together who knows. mainly, get all the main cast out of the way, then one or two months down the line we get some extra fluff.
  8. given recent statements on player essence's statements regarding amiibo, I will concede for now, as that is the most information we have in any capacity I will not deny that in all odds the statement is totally correct and amiibo is worse than warriors, but I can also note that it could be a misinterpretation of the process (in fates you could reasonably believe that they only give accessories in a demo environment) and that they could be wrong, I heard that he had to retract some statements due to mixing up details, but as of now it is best to assume that it is what it is. as for the functionality itself, it is a real letdown and the gazebo itself is without a doubt an absolute tease, at least BoTW had the courtesy to make it easily accessible and warriors didn't put much emphasis on it to let everyone know that, no, you shouldn't expect much, if they don't at least throw a legendary weapon or two our way I will be fairly annoyed as at least BoTW did that.
  9. touche, though it is very common for games to continue development even after the disks have been printed.
  10. I have been thinking quite a bit about this and I wonder what how everyone feels about this, the idea is an open world RPG using the gameplay style of gaiden (naturally with appropriate changes to better conform to the open world), I will acknowledge that it may be very different from what gaiden is so I am asking about this in the context of its fundamental gameplay, exploring around an open map, then when physical contact to an enemy is made a turn based battle in a form closer to a fire emblem game will begin on the overworld, likewise it will include a magic system and combat arts on a fundamental level, though I do think I would rather use an MP system to better fit in with the exploration. Some of you may have checked out my design blog for an RPG that I was wanting to make, this is what I have considered for the general gameplay and I am curious how everyone feels about the idea, does this make you more interested in the project or do you have any suggestions I also wouldn't mind any advice on how to make this happen, also bear in mind that the blog itself (if you decide to check it out) is in a very rough early phase and most things are subject to change, it is primarily being used to get ideas out there and in written form.
  11. I guess this will only solidify geralt's being marked for death, there can be only one.
  12. another thing, the fire emblem series isn't the only series where IS' amiibo functionality is great, even codename S.T.E.A.M had Ike, Marth, Lucina, and Robin as playable characters, IS seems to really like to go all out in their in house series when it comes to amiibo.
  13. given how some of this is worded, they could be nixing the outrealms for this one, don't necessarily care for it but given the structure of the game they could opt to just make the dlc quests integrated into the world more naturally, I guess I don't mind that, but I am a little sad at the thought of no callback maps which are inferior to the original map due to missing mechanics.
  14. all swimsuits changed to street clothes, nothing lower cut than a turtleneck, and to view a lady's ankles is forbidden, the guys however will remain unchanged.
  15. Just because koei tecmo helped doesn't mean it is their engine, they know how to make large numbers of characters show up at once, getting them on board only made sense to help get the game out there in a reasonable amount of time, by this logic BoTW must be using the same engine as xenoblade chronicles x because monolith helped with that one, my knowledge on these thing is a bit limited but it seems fairly inefficient to completely gut another engine just to keep the graphical framework, this is why mass effect andromeda had so many problems, they were required to use frostbite(?), this engine did not suit a large rpg, likewise, using a proprietary engine designed for hack and slash in a tactical rpg seems inefficient. You really shouldn't be saying such things in such certain ways, saying it could be the case is fine, we are all up to a little speculation but implying that the game's delays came from using the warriors engine is frankly conspiratorial. Any similarities in art style should be regarded as Fire Emblem having a particular look. also bear in mind that we likely will never get answers to this question due to everyone being so tight lipped about their proprietary engines, I searched and haven't found anything.
  16. even TA raven tomes were useless against Klein and Kagero.
  17. um, citation? I have not heard about this at all, what's this about reusing the warriors engine?
  18. while not unfeasible, special battalions seem awkward to implement, for every alm with his valentian dread fighters, there is a robin with I dunno, plagian dark mages, it is the only thing that could be seen as fitting, but ultimately wouldn't be interesting (due to the idea being arbitrary at best), I can't even think of what you could do for a generic "greil mercenary" the GMs don't have any specific colors and I don't know if they would be any different from geralt's mercenaries, you could argue that they could be mixed groups but then we have the problem of marth ike and chrom's battalions blending way too much, mage, cavalier, cleric, fighter, knight is shared between Ike and chrom, pegasus is shared between marth and chrom, marth and Ike also have archers, I fear they would lack distinctiveness to really feel like you are in command of Ike's group, I can understand the interest, but I just don't have enough imagination to make this be remotely satisfying, though a squad of divine dragons is pretty cool, it is also incredibly lore breaking (low birth rates = can be cannon fodder?) so IDK. as for special instructors, that is a hard no, that is pay to win outright, I sincerely believe that there would be hard backlash from that (once per IRL day or no), this would mean that having an amiibo would net you an advantage that no one else has, it also wouldn't offer anything that really changes how you play, which I think goes against what amiibo is meant for or at least what makes it great.
  19. Pretty annoyed on this one, wanted to go for first on all three, probably could have managed it if I changed my team around more to deal with Barst and Clair.
  20. oh, misworded that, sorry. I recommend spanish then, continuing filipino seems like you would be shooting yourself in the foot given that you have no recollection of it.
  21. if you need three years of the same language, continue filipino just to get through faster, but if you are able, I'd recommend taking an introductory spanish course to make things easier, if you are like me you will probably just forget everything once the semester ends so may as well take the path of least resistance to make life easier.
