Magic; Combat Arts; Skills; etc
thecrimsonflash replied to HappyHawlucha.'s topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
my main hope is the return of invoke, especially if at higher levels you can invoke brigades. I also wholey expect amiibo to give weapons at least (characters are the big hope, but weapons are something that I completely expect existing in some capacity) and I think they will have arts attached (like ragnell having aether).- 28 replies

Legendary Hero Weapon Refines
thecrimsonflash replied to Fire Emblem Fan's topic in Fire Emblem Heroes
radiant aether is not exclusive to legendary Ike (V!Ike was given radiant aether) there is nothing he has that some other unit doesn't have. -
Legendary Hero Weapon Refines
thecrimsonflash replied to Fire Emblem Fan's topic in Fire Emblem Heroes
legendary Ike needs a refine, he has nothing unique anymore, or they need to retroactively give him a new unique weapon or skill, because legendary Ike has nothing to differentiate him from everything else. -
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit weary about this pre reveal, but I had already preordered the SE by then so I was buying it regardless, though it probably would have turned into a genealogy situation where you have a really cool twist mid way through but everyone already knows about it after three months at least, I'll just say, I do slightly envy those who don't know about the timeskip, until the heartbreak that will ensue when they realize that the whole game isn't the dating sim they were promised.
-
honestly, there is a part of me that would have liked them to keep the timeskip a secret until launch, like, how cool would it have been if we were just playing, hit chapter 12 but instead it's an endgame, then after the chapter, "five years later", "in the history of class reunions, this is probably the worst"

Byleth's change in hair dye...
thecrimsonflash replied to Chopper...'s topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
this would explain why byleth doesn't talk, poor guy was born with no tongue. on the topic of hair I would like to note just how much of pain it must be for sothis to do her hair every morning, guess braiding robbins in her hair is cute enough to be worth it though.- 19 replies

New Game Mode Announced: Rokkr Sieges (From June 17)
thecrimsonflash replied to Coolmanio's topic in Fire Emblem Heroes
Pretty fun actually the numbers are surprisingly satisfying. I'm also just gonna leave this here -
no, unique classes and special units can't be captured.

potential spoilers Byleth's Crest - thoughts
thecrimsonflash replied to Arynee's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
I think it will end up being the case that the crest of flames is ultimately covered up by the church of seros after they took power in fodlan, mainly because of the trouble the last bearer(nemesis I think I've heard him called) gave them and to further solidify their grip on the continent. also, I don't want to minimod, but we aren't supposed to double post, if you need to add something, editing your post can't get you in trouble.- 18 replies

given the way magic works, I think there may be more to it. besides in fe4 every weapon had 50 durability.

Grand Hero Battle of Justice: Cynthia
thecrimsonflash replied to SatsumaFSoysoy's topic in Heroes War Room
Kinda forgot to post my experience with this one, generally for these I go for my usual arena team or est emblem, but I decided to clear with edgy colorless dragon emblem, took a few tries and cancel affinity on legendary robin, but it wasn't too hard, the team was edgy tiki, duma, edgy corn, and edgy fem robin, mostly base kits (reposition was used on duma and corn, duma was also running armor boots), no merges. -
With one of the primary characters in three houses being what many would consider a loli, this has lead to some backlash by some members of the fanbase, now, I personally like lolis and am appreciative to see one in a major role since sacred stones and I also think that sothis is shaping up to be a rather intresting character so far. So, I guess where I am going with this this question, why do you hate or love lolis and how would you change them to make them better in a general sense? Also, please refrain from the mention of lolicon and removal from the series outright, this adds nothing to the discussion, also don't forget to be respectful I know that this can be a touchy subject with numerous opinions on it. For me, while I like lolis, I do get a bit annoyed that there is always such a dependence on tiki which leads to reused designs and personalities, despite the fact that sothis look to be a real deviation from a typical loli, her design is still very close to tiki especially given that she uses a similar palette.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses Special Edition (1)
thecrimsonflash replied to Emblemier Ben's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
I'm not even saying I care for the pins (SoV's sprites were way better IMO, these are too non distinct), I just think the calendar was a stupid idea, there are a lot of cool knick knacks you can put in an LE but a calendar is just mundane, for comparison, FEW's most expensive japanese limited edition came with a dragonstone paperweight, please bring your d game(world map made with the office printer lol) at least because this is your g game.- 29 replies

Fire Emblem: Three Houses Special Edition (1)
thecrimsonflash replied to Emblemier Ben's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
the us one is the worst by far, a calendar is not the kind of thing to put in your ultra special limited edition. other than that, the steelbook is nice, artbook is standard, cd is cool (though some may find it outdated due to the dominance of digital). I am getting it for the steelbook admittedly, though I won't mind the artbook or cd, but I am legitimately annoyed by the calendar, just a waste of effort, I mean, I know pins aren't everyone's cup of tea, but I would rather not be getting something I could make myself in an SE.- 29 replies

Three Houses Title Screen
thecrimsonflash replied to Owain Dark's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
honestly I would like them to use the fire emblem theme again, I know that awakening freaking killed the theme due to using it everywhere, but I was really disappointed when the fire emblem theme didn't show up until the very last cutscene of revelation, fire emblem without the fire emblem theme is like fire emblem without anna, I guess you can, but it feels like sacrilege. -
I prefer 10, I find that it is generally better, tighter gameplay, solid map design and a more ambitious story just makes me like it more. honestly I really find it weird that no one else ever considers that when zelgius is the black knight he may be putting on an act or just letting loose in ways he can't generally get away with due to his status, I too like what they did with zelgius in 10. Ashnard is actually a very interesting villain and comparing him to garon is an enormous disservice to his character, his is a darwinist for one, which is a thousand times more interesting than any "we need more food" sob story or "the dragon told me" excuse from a supposedly previously heroic character, though it was established in radiant dawn it is hinted at in path or radiance, he orchestrated the death of every member of the royal family and personally assassinated the king of daien to ensure his claim to the throne despite being regarded as having no chance of getting the throne due to being a very minor member of the royal family (like 13th in line minor), not to mention that he is the antithesis of elencia creating a villain for a secondary protagonist that in unrelated to the main protagonist, in fact there are several times where it is stated that Ike agrees with him on his views that people should be able to decide their place in the world themselves. His goals don't even end with taking over the world, his greatest desire is to create a world where a person's strength and will to do whatever accomplishes their goals decides their status which ties into his backstory being someone who had no chance at the throne due to the circumstances of his birth and then through sheer strength, will, and some cleverness took the throne. I understand that he may come across as an obvious mcevil badderson, but his ideology makes him stand out a great deal more than any tragic backstory would. There is a place for villains who are irredeemable, and I think that ashnard is one of if not the best example of this.

GameInformer confirms no Multiplayer
thecrimsonflash replied to Owain Dark's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
I actually think the combat arts system would have been better for multiplayer provided they increase the durability loss in multiplayer, if only because it doesn't require chance.
