  1. I voted the two obvious choices, of course! Gen 8 and DP remakes. Not necessarily in this order.
  2. Not legal, but sending cease-and-desist and having the game become vaporware is a really crappy way of dealing with things. This is just Nintendo being draconian with their IPs once again.
  3. Metroid Prime 4 and Super Mario Odyssey. In only 25 minutes, Nintendo showed more than Microsoft and Sony did in two hours and a half. FE Warriors is good, but it's not a mainline FE game so I don't know how much of an impact it'll have.
  4. But Ghost is also one of the more powerful types, itself. Hence its rarity. Ice used to be rare because it was the main counter to Dragon, but, since Gamefreak does not know the meaning of the word "balance", they gave Ice moves to every other Water-type, making Ice-types useless. The addition of the Fairy-type was the final nail in the coffin. It has to be said, though, that much of the numbers of the Dragon-type consists of legendaries. Those are powerful by default, whether it's due to stats or usefulness.
  5. All the rights you have in our capitalist society are thanks to socialism.
  6. Capitalism: System founded on competition and profit. Thus, unequality, which is inherent to the system and necessary for its sustenance. Best system to generate wealth, terrible in its distribution. Suited to human nature. Socialism: System founded on equality. However, it requires existing without any competition whatsoever as well as complete cooperation of all individuals within (even against their will). Therefore, easy to corrupt. Antithesis of human nature.
  7. Yeah but that's their point. To be hard. :D I think Ice should've resisted Water, actually, because Ice and Water cancel each other out. I think Garchomp is the only overpowered one, but Garchomp is broken anyway, he's too fast, bulky and powerful, so he's difficult to take down even with Ice-type Pokémon or moves.
  8. Dragons were powerful but they were, like, kinda supposed to be powerful. They're the rarest type.
  9. Arcfire and Bolganone. Flaming kamehameha is teh shizz. :D Bolganone from the top of my head looks like a supernova or something, that's kinda awesome. The wind tomes are usually kinda unimpressive, though. Melee animations in Awakening are somewhat generic, I think my favorites are Pegasus Knights wielding lances. The 2D games have better melee animations due to artistic license vs realism.
  10. "Getting their act together" means being honest and taking strong, wise, meaningful decisions, not winning polls. Macron is a wax figure, overly clean and overly afraid of hurting people's feelings. He won because people voted against Le Pen, not for him. The media has been trying to create the image of a strong leader while he really doesn't seem that strong, he got support because he won't "get in the way" of powerful people. His conciliation talk looks a lot like indecisiveness rather than strong resolve. If Le Pen would outright sink the boat, Macron will let it head into the iceberg and only try something when it's too late. None of the current European leaders look capable enough to me, and none of the contestants look capable either. But it's all too easy for me to say things like these. Managing a country is an extremely difficult task and, unless you're a dictator, you'll never be able to do as you please. Biggest obstacle being all the economic interests at stake. I recommend watching that show from Netflix (Narcos) to get an idea of how hard it is to rule over a country with chronic, endemic problems. Gaviria is in office for most of the show's duration. The amount of crap he has to deal with is too much for most people. Gaviria himself being portrayed as someone "softer" doesn't help matters either. In the end he did what he thought was best, but it's all futile when others keep failing him. People are dying by the dozens every other month. I remember someone telling me Europeans have to deal with terror attacks as a "fact of today's world". I strongly disagree! They're not at war with anyone, at least not officially. Yet people keep dying as if they were. However, there's no magic solution to this problem, because: 1) If you declare "war on Islam", what to make of the European nationals who follow Islamic faith and don't engage in terrorist activity? 2) If you keep indiscriminately allowing people into Europe, how do you tame the outrage when a terror attack does happen and is carried out by someone with Muslim background? 3) If the ones responsible for terror attacks are Muslims born and raised in Europe, how can you blame Islam for it? I understand why European leaders would be lost when faced with something like this. But it's time for them to be more honest. Speak clearly about the problems. Try to get closer to the people they're responsible for. But there's no easy route. People are trying to find an easy solution that doesn't exist.
  11. You can do that in Britain? That's TOTALLY cool, haha. Over here they ask questions to an empty chair. :D Not sure what to think of it, though European elections these days are very depressing. People like Le Pen gain visibility because the standard politicians can't get their act together. Actually, elections are depressing pretty much everywhere as of late. Take the USA, for example. The choice was between Trump (who is totally inept), Hillary Clinton (who's as establishment as it gets), Bernie Sanders (who was ready to sacrifice Western military leverage against total world domination by the Russians and the Chinese), and some random Republicans who are, well, average Republicans, with all the connotations the phrase carries. So far the Tories are earning themselves a hung parliament as you say, which is hilarious. Their timing with polls has been absolutely horrible, from Brexit to today's election.
  12. Oopsie... I rest my case. Trump is not the first, and won't be the last person to be elected in such circumstances.
  13. As long as there are small joys every day, I'm fine.
  14. Prism Solgaleo/Lunala? Well, now is all too clear why a certain romhack was taken down by Nintendo...
  15. Except that the VC releases support trading, and Crystal did not have all the Pokémon in the Pokédex. There are quite a few common ones missing, like Mareep. There's zero reason for Nintendo to hold back on Crystal's release. I actually think it's related to the phone adapter support, which was absent in the Western releases but was there in the Japanese ones.
  16. Yes. But instead, they took a dump on the lore with ORAS. The only serious flaw in those games was the Exp. Share. If there was a fairer way to grind exp, they would've been ace.
  17. I think these seem more like Director's Cut versions than remakes, don't they? They're being made for 3DS so they're probably just expanded versions like Emerald and Platinum. Considering the whole theme of Sun/Moon, these games look like they're an adventure in a parallel dimension to the previous ones. I think it's likely that Gamefreak concludes this gen with Sinnoh remakes to wrap up the whole dimensional theme.
  18. Considering there's dimensional travel in Sun/Moon, the new games might be very similar in a lot of things yet completely different in other areas.
  19. Really? So it's Pokken that's for the Switch? Oh well, that's a missed opportunity for them, haha.
  20. So glad I didn't waste my precious money on Sun/Moon. :D So sad it's for the Switch... :( Right now, playing these ones is not financially viable for me, as I'd have to buy a Switch.
  21. No, I'm not. There are no angels in politics.
  22. I like female Corrin design, but the young version looks like jailbait, so perhaps I shouldn't like her too much. :D The older male Robin in Awakening looked ok, but he would probably look a bit better if he seemed a bit younger. They could've make him a bit more like Frederick and less like Gregor.
