  1. Releasing a Caeda alt and Lilith in rapid succession is just cruel. Goodbye orbs, it was nice knowing you. That summoning focus change is pretty sweet. Almost as good as Feh’s new voice. Almost.
  2. Huh. That’s...interesting, is the word I’m going with here. I ran a quick test myself in Paralogue 37-3, using Lilina's Forblaze to apply a Res penalty to Micaiah. Hrid did not get an automatic follow-up from Gjoll, as you described...but Yune, whose Chaos Manifest has a condition worded the exact same way, did get one.
  3. @DLNarshen Awesome use of Kempf there. He walked all over the right-hand side and even ensured a safe KO on Bramimond for Ishtar. I’m kind of surprised that the green dragon didn’t continue advancing past the Lance Armor when you had Narcian hold the enemies up by flying him out over the water. Nice work! @SatsumaFSoysoy Firesweep Celica scares me. Those poor greens never stood a chance. Cordelia puts in good work as always; nice use of Escape Route on her! I was surprised when she took only 5 damage from that red mage. Nice work! I’ve got a few “send in Caeda and wait” clears...Abyssal Ursula, and Reinhardt & Ishtar Infernal are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head. It turns out I didn’t actually need to EP anyone but Bramimond. Desperation on Ephraim and Death Blow+Quickened Pulse on Caeda would’ve let me take out everything else on the Player Phase. I think I like it better the way it is, though. There’s a certain symmetry to it. @Landmaster You use Elise to fight so much that I sometimes forget that she can heal, too. Pulse Smoke and Miracle both came in clutch here. Elise obliterating the blue dagger at the end was strangely satisfying. Also, Sophiaaaaaa! Nice work! idk about “cooler”, we just had different sets of restrictions, and mine happened to require her to beat the tar out of a couple people in a hurry =P . ————— Despite the Barrier Lance armor and blue dagger, Celica managed to take the map by camping the left-hand side. Oddly, I couldn’t get Thrasir to pull off the same feat, so I “Guidance’d” her over the...river? And had her spam Blazing Wind at the approaching enemies. Finally, for the theme team, my brain decided to remember that one of Odin’s victory quotes in Fates is “My darkness was darker than yours!”. So I decided on an “Odin & Friends” theme, with one restriction: Odin has to deal the finishing blow to the boss. And that’s the story of how I discovered that the only living copies of Odin and Laslow in my barracks were 4* Lv 40s with meh or neutral natures and hardly any SP.
  4. Huh. That’s weird. Based on the text, he should, but apparently he doesn’t. He’s not getting +1 Atk either, ceiling(57*.8) - 34 = 12 (in the screenshot he’s got Wings of Mercy instead of Lull Atk/Def). I guess there’s a secret condition on Form skills that requires at least one Ally to be in range? Ephraim doesn’t have anything that would cause that interaction. ...dang it, I literally just wrote the effect string for Atk/Spd Form for my combat simulator resurrection project. Now I have to go tweak it. In any case, the Ally Support was for Sophia. She needs the +1 Atk to get the Bramimond KO. She comes up just slightly short without it (Lull Atk/Res puts her at 54, so +1 combat Atk actually gets her +2 effective Atk). Nice clear yourself! RIP turn 3 reinforcements, spawning in the worst possible spots given your units’ positions. I’ll bet they were regretting their life decisions after that. Also the exact KO on Bramimond, wow. @Diovani Bressan Excellent use of the Whitewing weapons, and all the positioning skills that went into keeping their effects active. Palla loosing not one, but two Moonbows on Bramimond was awesome. Great work! @Maaka I like the Lunge craziness, actually. Very clever way to get Azura to reach the Cleric. Excellent use of Eliwood, too, and Lilina getting the exact KO was icing on the cake. Nice work!
  5. Normally I dislike grinding an Ally support just for a clear, but this one was worth it. @Landmaster @SatsumaFSoysoy @Diovani Bressan
  6. This was pretty cute, albeit sparse Feh channel, and an interesting way to celebrate the anniversary. Both of the Byleth descriptions were wonderful, and Edelgard’s was absolute perfection. I wasn’t paying too much attention to Robin’s and thought it said that they shared a bond with Grima before I looked again and saw Chrom. They’re both short names and start with letters that look similar, ok?
  7. Pixelated Feh...wonder what that’s about. Edit: I was just slightly later, please close/remove.
  8. Bramimond isn’t what I was expecting, but it struck me as a fitting choice for colorless tome right when I saw the name. It’s especially fitting since I was 90% sure this month would be Dark, given their previous history with AR Offense Mythics. From what I know about him from reading (still haven’t played FE6/7), they seem to have nailed the execution here. I’m not looking forward to fighting him =P . I’d love to have a copy, and I’d really love to have Lull Atk/Res fodder...but I really need to try to save orbs for next month (assuming the green cast around Celica is good).
  9. It looks like I’ll be on the left side of the gauntlet the entire time, starting with Idunn and jumping over to Veronica or Catria if she falls.
  10. Congrats, she’s looking great! I’ve been coincidentally seeing pictures and mentions of Mirror Stance 3 Sophia for the better part of a week now...I kinda want to do it too, since I managed to pick up an Osian on the Even Wave banner.
  11. He definitely does good work, though I think I’ve only really used him in Infernal thus far. He requires some pretty specific setups. Nice cavalry clear! Clever skill choice with the Drag Back on Cordelia. I didn’t immediately see how she was going to avoid getting taken out on the EP after eliminating the mage.
  12. Depends on the matchup. 3 Mov for all Infantry in range is pretty good, with Reposition and/or Smite on your Mythics, WoM might not even be necessary. One other avenue that might be worth exploring is a hybrid type team, where Ephraim goes in to knock out something you don’t want to deal with (or something where opening up that space messes with the enemy team’s gimmicks), then just runs away. After that you drop in your EP unit to occupy the enemies so they don’t reach him. I’m a fan of his dynamic with Duo Alfonse, personally. One-hit Galeforce (with Quickened Pulse) is all kinds of fun, and Alfonse’s dual phase capabilities make him great at following up on Ephraim’s initiation.
  13. @Diovani Bressan Nice work on that Saizo solo! Preventing Edelgard from getting Victorious Axe’s effect off at the start was great, then the map basically beat itself with that weird enemy split and the movement range mismatch on the right. @Landmaster Nice set of clears, there! I see Elise has taken the ol’ Gronnwolf out of storage. Poor Dimitri never stood a chance. F!Byleth had to receive some pity-screen-time at the end of the second battle from Lysithea, but she made up for it with a strong performance in the Byleth/Sothis clear. ~ Dimitri has a lot going for him. He’s got great Atk, good Def, Lull Atk/Def, a 1-charge Vengeance...unfortunately, he’s also on a horse.
  14. Idunn & Fae Duo is amazing even before taking into account how disgusting Zephyr Breath is. I want one. Also I saw Narcian’s weapon and read “git fork”. Had to do a double take.
  15. 1. Congrats! 2. Are you serious right now? F!Byleth also crashed my Lysithea pulls...with +HP/-Def. I used Ryoma as my bonus unit though
  16. @Landmaster Congrats on securing your one week of freedom! Also congrats on both of those clears. I was afraid Impostor!Elise was going to pick up another boss kill until I remembered the carrot. This battle really didn't give Elise & co. trouble at all. As for the BL clear...Galeforce Dimitri, Gravity strats, and Byleth cutting down the Flame Emperor? I approve.
  17. Yes, you most certainly can. Is this a bad time to mention that I’m not actually keeping track of style points? Someday, I’d like to get to that point. I was sad when the 3rd unit on the Idunn & Fae BHB banner was Roy. Nice work on that clear! Sothis had a close shave with those mages at the start, but Sirius+Wrath proved too powerful in the end. I really liked the use of Creator Sword to show the Flame Emperor just what you thought about Guard Axe and Wary Fighter.
  18. @Diovani Bressan Is that...+20 to all of Saizo's stats between the replicated Hone Spd 4, Bonus Doubler, and Saizo's Star (on debuffed enemies)? That's just evil. +Style points for ending the map in the units' original starting positions even though Saizo wasn't at full HP. Nice work! ~ I couldn't stop after the traditional Galeforce clear. That defense tile was too enticing. Also I rate that "Perish" as not Erica Lindbeck/10. @Landmaster
  19. *shrug* I was fully expecting this post to happen sometime today, anyway. Congratulations! The game’s best Staff Cav is looking awesome! So which Elise is next? You haven’t shown a unit true favoritism unless they’ve got an extensive skill closet, after all.
  20. It appears the Japanese trailer for the next banner was accidentally released early...it’s now set to unlisted so, spoilers and stuff.
  21. I was freaking out about Anima/Earth/Water, and ended up not running into anything super-cancerous. I’m 90% relieved, and 10% disappointed...I was admittedly curious as to how I would’ve fared against a map stacked up with Thrasir, Alm, and Azura. Anyway, no deaths on offense and -38 on defense resulted in a T27 finish (13682 Lift).
  22. @SatsumaFSoysoy I’m not sure what made my jaw drop lower: when you tripped almost all the reinforcements at once after carefully avoiding killing much of anything for so long, or when Hilda wiped the floor with the lot of them. Nice work on that clear!
  23. I usually don’t upload the Dragon Wagon catch-up clears, but I’m making an exception for this one, because wow, that was annoying.
  24. Re Pegasus Flight, she only needed it for the blue mage. The armor would’ve taken 2x 51. As for the stat checks, it’s: your (visible Spd + Phantom Spd) + 7 ≥ enemy (visible Spd + Phantom Spd) your visible Res - enemy visible Res That was my initial understanding, and I just wandered into Sothis Abyssal (thank you Odd Spd Wave blue mage that starts right next to her!) and tried things out, to be 100% sure. Nice job on your clear! Lots of close fights at the beginning, and you really weren’t kidding when you said you got a lot of mileage out of a rushing approach. ...followed immediately by one of the hardest retreats I’ve ever seen. I’m kinda surprised the map let you get away with it.
  25. @Diovani Bressan Well. DC/Close Call Alm is exactly as disgusting as I thought he would be. Nowi did great, like usual as did male B Tome Nowi on a Horse. Nice work! Ah, yes, that was me, and my 2115 alts. For real though, the last thing I need right now is another copy of Edelgard. Nice job on your clear! I especially liked how Nowi just refused to take damage from those red enemies at the end. And of course, just like in the Chrom & Lissa BHB, legendary Chrom uses his assist to catapult himself towards the team, where he is promptly eliminated by staff Elise. Poor guy just can’t catch a break. And with that, I think operation catch-up is complete...sorry about your notification inbox. ~ Celica had a bit of a rough time at the very beginning, needing to deal with a Blue mage and high-Res R Tome Cav in the same turn, but it wasn’t so bad after that. Future Vision is much more annoying in the AI’s hands, at least in this battle. Thrasir’s green-ness meant Chrom had a bad time. This one was a little more straightforward than Celica’s, fortunately. Finally, the Dragon Wagon returns for my theme team clear. Maybe it’s a bit soon, but I really wanted to spite Chrom’s Armor/Flying effective bow. Duma even got to put in some actual work.
