  1. I mean, yes, I do find it very clunky and it did not aged exactly well, but here's the thing: just like with the original Legend of Zelda, it has its special feeling of being into a unique adventure. In this game, despite the very basic graphics and - while still good - music and an absolutely terrible interface, it feels especially good to conquer any chapter. You get the same boost of energy as when you conquer a dungeon in Zelda NES. And for this reason, I still like this game, even if I first played it this year, because it gives you a satisfying feeling of being on a special, epic quest, which only FE4 succeeded to entirely replicate so far in my opinion. Am I the only one who still enjoys Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light? Sorry for this wall of text filled with bad English...
  2. I've decoded the text from Quirino's FE1 translation. If no one has done it before, that is. Anyway, most of the text has been decoded. Enjoy! FE1 Text Table.zip
  3. yeah, i just wanted to record a game so i decided this would be a good choice. if you're interested in watching then ummmmmm subscribe i guess...
  4. http://www.mediafire.com/file/md2c4us6gh2ojmu/FE1_Nightmare_Modules.zip There's a bunch of stuff there. Character editors, item editors, the like. A year and a half later EDIT: http://feuniverse.us/t/fe1-nightmare-modules-hey-we-can-edit-growths-now/1205 Here's said link on FEU. If I get back into FE1, that's where the most up-to-date download will be.
  5. Something I just encountered in FE1 is that when a healer is attacked and survives the encounter, they gain the same amount of EXP as if they had killed the opponent. This probably isn't very effective for training your staff units, but this could make Lena and Wrys viable as Sages in this game.
  6. Who do you usually send to kill Gharnef with the Starlight Tome? Merric - Student of magic, first avaliable mage in FE1 (FE11), wants to rescue Marth's sis. Linde - Daughter of Miloah, who was killed by Gharnef. Wants revenge. Wendell - Bishop/Sage and Merric's teacher Ellerean - Merric's rival, Wendell's student. Want's to prove himself. Yubello - Because sending a little kid to kill the main villain is funny. Frost - Random old guy deserves the credit Mallesia - Because she can? Maria - Because she can? Lena - Because she can? FE12's Avatar - Because YOU want the glory of his death. Etzel - The only sorcerer. Yumina - Same reason at her brother :^) Katarina - Because BFFFLs.
