  1. So! There was an update to this website and its music offer today: http://renka-web.com/news/news_001.html#clearfile It's a pretty cool set of offers, particularly with the limited edition set. Anyway, apparently, there is an option to reserve/pre-order this on the Japanese Amazon page. I'd love to snag it, but I've never made a purchase on a foreign webpage before, and know absolutely nothing about currency conversion or shipping changes... Anybody have any insight? (I hope this post is in the right place!)
  2. So if's story writer is Shin Kibayashi. I decided to do some digging (Aka, stalking his Wikipedia page) and I'm sharing what I've found and how that could affect if. First thing's first, is that Shin has an obsession with pen names. Seriously. He's written under seven different pen names. While Nintendo name dropped him as Shin Kibayashi, don't be surprised if another name is used in the credits. Secondly, most of his works involves detective work or solving mysteries. Said mysteries are often thought of as unsolvable within the manga, but the heroes are obviously capable of solving it. That said, Shin has also done fantasy, one soccer themed manga and one manga involving wine tasting (Go figure). Thirdly, Shin's the writer of Get Backers. I'm not familiar with the series, but if anyone has read/watched or knows about it please tell us about it. Wikipedia says it's pretty well received, but the proof is in the pudding. Lastly, as mentioned above, Shin also wrote a manga about wine tasting. Yeah...Kind of odd but apparently the New York Times listed it as one of the best selling manga and it's had a really positive impact on the wine selling business. So there you have it. As far as I can tell, Shin Kibayashi seems to be a pretty well received writer. Anyone familiar with his works can give us more insight on his writing style. In the meantime, I get the feeling if's in good hands.
  3. A while ago, before IS had confirmed that Kamui can transform, I came up with a theory that hinged on the idea that Hoshidan royalty were all dragon-kin. That has now been confirmed (the Hoshidan royalty bit, not the theory). The theory was that every royal had the potential to transform, but the ability was unlocked by going through extreme mental stress. With Kamui watching their father gain a newfound sympathy for pincushions, the ability unlocked. However, due to Kamui's young age their body couldn't handle a full out dragon session, so the transformation was improper. Probably Kamui's partial transformation as seen here. Upon seeing Kamui grow a cool new mask, Garon decides instead of disposing of Kamui, to raise them as his own. Something happens, Kamui is sent to Hoshido, and meets Aqua. Aqua also having gone through extreme mental stress (she was most likely kidnapped) knows how the ability works better than Kamui does, and gives him a dragon stone. After transforming, Kamui, not used to full dragon yet, freaks out and chokes Aqua. Leading to the scene where they, you know, choke Aqua. This theory could explain why Kamui looks so completely different from his kin (who knows what they looked like before transformation), why no one else can do it, and, more subjectively, why the partial form looks so much cooler than dragon form. Thoughts?
  4. Hi, Kagehoshi here again - you might remember me as the one who ranted on a different topic about the release date gap. Anywho, I'm not here to rant, I just wish to talk about something I picked up on after having watched the trailers/screenshot a lot, and I want to hear everyone's thoughts. My apologies for the lengthy post. Screenshots I'm mentioning can be found on this site under "Images and Videos." Something I would like to point out (and I'm most likely not the first to think of it) is that there might not be any gender-locked classes in FE:if, but rather, faction-locked; Amongst Hoshido's forces (seen in screenshots etc.) we see mymidons and swordmasters, based on their battle stance (same as Awakening) which fits with how someone would wield a katana. We also see assassins on the Hoshido side, as they share the same sprites from Awakening again, but we don't see any cavaliers at all. Ryoma himself looks like a swordmaster, same stance and all. On the Nohr side, however (screenshots, again) we see that there are no assassins/swordmasters/myrmidons around - only knights and cavaliers. My theory/speculation is that the myrmidons/assassins/swordmasters will be for Hoshido only since they're more reminiscent to samurais and ninjas, which goes with the "feudal Japan" feel on Hoshido, while cavaliers, knights, great knights, and paladins will be exclusive to Nohr as they traditionally look more western/european in appearance, which goes with the western influence of Nohr. We don't see any of these classes on the opposite sides at all so far - so if certain classes are faction-locked, it could explain why we might see male pegasus knights and female warriors (Rinka, the horned-masked girl seen in trailers, screenshots, and next toRyoma as he tells Kamui about being his brother, appears to be a warrior with a kanabo - the eastern version of an axe - her attack animation is just like warriors/berserkers in Awakening); it would still give your forces more class options despite that some are exlcusive to the opposite faction. It does makes sense, in the way that a knight, with it's western-inspired armour, would look outlandish on Hoshido's side, while a ninja/assassin (Saizou being an example, appearance wise) would look strange in the Nohr army. Again, before people bash me, remember that we don't see any of these classes in the opposite faction; all screenshots show these classes fighting the other side, such as knights and cavaliers agains myrmidons/swordmasters, and the only assassin sprites are shown with other Hoshido characters. Hell, maybe even Dark Knights will only be for Nohr as well? We know that Leon is a Dark Knight, and we've seen (appearance wise, at least) Dark Knights being the enemy in screenshot and the first trailer, at least. Your thoughts? EDIT: Someone pointed out that perhaps it was just showcased to look like there were faction-locked classes, but in the second trailer (speficially, when both your families beckons you to their side) you can see Hoshido's and Nohr's armies in the background - Nohr has soldiers similar to Awakening with their western style, complese with lances, while Hoshido show katana-wielding myrmidons as their main force, further supporting my theory. However, there's a possibility that you can recruit units from the opposite faction, as seen on these screenshots: http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/fireemblem/images/7/70/Saizou_sprite.png/revision/latest?cb=20150410071751 http://serenesforest.net/wp-content/gallery/january-2015-nintendo-direct/Jan_006.jpg Notice how the sprite is the same - first, a Nohrian marked as red, the standard colour of enemies in the series, and in the next, blue - he's with you. It's not a stretch to say that the only way you could get your faction's missing classes is by recruiting them from the opposite side?
  5. So, new here, and not sure where to post this... But here I go. I apologize for coming off as ranting at first. So, I remember that Fire Emblem: Awakening (for example) came out April 19th 2012, while in the west it first came out in North America on February 4th 2013, and April 19th 2013 for Europe. Now, with the hype for Fire Emblem: if, I've begun to worry that the same thing will happen to this game. It'll be released in Japan on June 25th THIS YEAR, while in the west it's set for 2016. And I do worry that it'll come out early 2016 in America (for one bloody reason or another...) and later for Europe. I rather that it doesn't happen, as I feel it not only makes no sense, it is not particularly fair for Europe to have to wait a (almost) complete year. And I don't want to hear that USA has a bigger gaming market, because that's poppycock. Anywho; moving swiftly along, what are your thoughts about the gap between Japanese release date and the western 2016 release date? And yes, I know the localization and such are important factors.
  6. I just realized that the plot concept reminds me a bit of Code Geass. Especially with the European inspired nation oppressing the Japanese inspired nation... XD Kamui's situation is almost like a cross between Lelouch and Suzaku. :) What does the game remind you of?
  7. So I am really hyped for FE:14! But there are some things that I feel it could do to expand the game a bit, and honestly I think these are things Awakening could have done as well. Online, I wish Awakening had actual online battles, similar to Pokemon. Hell, even Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon had online battles. I know you could fight people with streetpass, but that does not really help us in the west, where nearly no one carries their 3ds around with them, unless they are going to a convention or something. Online could have fixed that, and more people could have experienced the fun of challenging another team. So it's never to late to include it!!! please... New game Plus/Replaying Old Chapters, in Awakening there was a LOT of chapters I would have loved to replayed (Chapter 10 comes to mind)! But you can't replay them unless you make a new save file, which is too much work for my lazy ass sometimes... lol. I know you could make a save point right before you complete that chapter and just not save, but honestly I just want a plain replay feature. The enemies don't even have to match my units levels, they can stay weak, it does not even matter. Also the funny thing is, you can replay the DLC maps, but not the main-story maps is kinda disapointing. Maintain Good Support Conversations, This was never a problem in Awakening, I am just hopeing they stay strong with what they built. And also I hope ALL the characters, have some a least a few unique supports, Characters like, Morgan, Grangel, Emmeryn, and Walhart's supports where kinda copy and pasted with minor changes, but still where good. Also I feel Supports should be infinite just like they were in Awakening.
  8. So, based on the reactions and attitudes of the characters, here is an analysis of their personalities. (These are only guesses.) Kamui(Avatar): Kamui, both male and female versions seem serious, and haunted by their past. there is evidence of a tragic story, since in the trailer, a character that could potentially be Kamui's dad is killed by Nohrians in a Nohrian city. Garon *Cough* evil bastard *cough* then looks and reaches toward the camera, an effect used in awakening when people interacted with robin in cutscenes. He basically tells Kamui that he'll let them live and they will learn... I have a feeling that Kamui still remembers the day they were taken by Garon. Garon: He is generic. Sorry, but it looks that way. Luckily, blatantly evil characters make the best villains... I certainly won't feel bad about taking Garon down... He is definitely the antagonist, and i get the feeling that he forces Aqua(the dancer girl with blue hair) to perform for his amusement. He is obviously what drives Nohr to attack their neighbors, as i do not get the vibe from any of the characters that i get from Garon.(Ganz being an exception) Aqua: She is the dancing girl, and definitely shy. While she sings to herself, sadly wishing for a better world, her dancing probably brings her no pleasure. She most likely associates her art form with the unfavorable Garon, since he is the one who makes her do it in the first place. She is most definitely a character that is intended to make us all feel like a hero... since she is such a grim soul almost in need of "saving". Ganz: I mentioned him before, and while he is evil, i don't think he is motivated by glory, as Garon is. Ganz obviously is an important character for the villains, but he chose not to wear elaborate clothing... or even take care of his skin. It almost seems to me as though he is on the verge of death, and is motivated to simply drag anyone else he can with him to the grave. Ryouma: He seems quiet and serious. Definitely focused on being a warrior first, and a human being second. Don't get me wrong, he seems like a very good man, but when Kamui is going to choose a side, he only extends the left hand. As a martial artist myself, i know that this means he is focused, and not letting his guard down. He doesn't even say anything if you choose Nohr, instead, he decides to attack his own flesh and blood. Again, he isn't a bad guy, but perhaps too serious for his own good... Marx: He is serious, but very different from Ryouma, in that he will let his guard down. Marx had passed his lance to his off hand, and extended his right arm to Kamui. He definitely feels a close bond to the main character that Ryouma just does not have(because he didn't grow up with Kamui), and leans forward, almost more desperate to keep his surrogate brother. He is loyal to a fault it seems, especially because he views Kamui choosing blood over bond as a betrayal. He is most likely the hardest person to turn against Garon in the Nohr story. Hinoka: Umm... she's a pegasus night? honestly, she seems to be such a tom-boy that having her ride a magical horse is a little amusing to me. She is probably hot-headed, and doesn't understand humor. Sakura: Yay! another pink-haired girl named Sakura to hate!(just kidding) Unfortunately, she is kinda depressing to me. she is the kind of girl who constantly needs cheering up. She definitely expects the worst, since before Kamui even chooses, she looks like someone just kicked a kitten(And i love kittens). Tsubaki: He is boring to me. Is that mean? he just seems like another soldier... of course, we haven't seen much. I can't guess too much, but maybe you have an idea. Camilla: Many people seem to think she is a sly, almost seductive character in the game. that would be wrong, and here is why. She is one of the most caring characters in the game, aside from her twin-tailed little sister(just assuming). She is very concerned with the well-being of Kamui, as we have seen so far. She looks like she is pleading just as much as little miss "Onii-chan"(twin-tails) when Kamui is choosing sides. Also, the first words we hear her say to Kamui are: "Are you alright?" she is not some evil seductress, you make her one. Let me explain. The clip of her walking toward the camera is probably her walking toward Kamui. I think that she takes the almost mocking pose and expression because that clip is before you fight her after choosing Hoshido. She probably undergoes huge personality changes after Kamui chooses the other side. How would you feel if your family chose your "enemy" over you? Twin-tailed sister character: Generic loli-con character. Unfortunately, it is true from what we know. She will be both annoying and amusing, irritating and... well, just irritating. gosh, it's hard to guess her hopes and dreams, wait, it is probably something like: "When I grow up, i want to marry my Onii-chan!" I'm going to go throw up now. Sorry if you like her, just not my thing. Dark knight blonde Nohrian brother mage-thing guy: I want this guy's name. he looks awesome. I am leveling him up all the way. I think he'll be apathetic, sociopathic, and sadistic. what a different character! I love it, plus he is probably like a little brother type character. He looks like a one-hit killer. when charging up a magic attack, rocks fly everywhere... and the dude is obviously not trying at all. enough said. Kazehana: she is a confident myrmidon. I get the feeling of Sumia(Awakening) crossed with Joshua(sacred stones), and that sounds interesting... She might not be the best, but she knows that if she doesn't try, she never will be. Raizou: the only reason i have him here is because he is a ninja. I love ninjas, you love ninjas, everybody loves ninjas. So, this guy should be similar to the legendary Hanzo Hisashi from the Sengoku period. This man is the main reason to play through Hoshido for me. I am not listing characters that have pretty much nothing to go on. Let's hope for more news in the future. what do you think? agree? disagree? tell me why. :)
  9. Ok, so we all know about the dancer character being on both sides no matter what your choice/side. But after looking through the Nintendo directs from both January and April I found two other characters that may also exist independent of what side you choose. Let's first take a look at what I will call the pink-haired cleric: In this image, you can obviously tell that this is the Hoshido side. You can even see Sakura behind the cursor! Now notice the pink-haired girl at the very bottom of the image. Clearly she is a Hoshido ally based on her blue clothes and health bar. However, take a look at this screenshot: This is obviously Nohr's campaign based on Camilla's sprite--the dragon rider next to the dancer character--being blue (and not red). Now look on the very left of the image at the pink-haired cleric. Notice her sprite is also blue, same as Camilla. What the hell??! What this means is that in this screenshot, the pink-haired cleric is allied with the Nohr side instead of the Hoshido. In this picture I would also like to point out the leftmost cavalier--the one with the blueish-grey hair. Once again, his sprite color represents his Nohr-side alliance. However, both he and the pink-haired cleric can be seen on the completely opposite side in this screenshot from the January direct: The characters are located to the west and the south of the green-haired sprite, an ally of Hoshido's Kazahana; making them both allies of Hoshido. WOULD YOU TWO MAKE UP YOUR MINDS ALREADY?!? However, there is another more interesting problem with the bluish-grey-haired cavalier: In this screenshot we can see that this is the Hoshido campaign from both Sakura being blue and the giant Hoshido caption in the upper corner. Notice the blueish-grey-haired cavalier's sprite being red in this screenshot, an enemy unit. Since he is the only enemy unit present in this dialogue scene, he must be somewhat important in this particular chapter. Maybe he is an enemy unit (a Nohr unit) and you are able to talk him over to your side? Can't say for sure. That's all the evidence I have with these characters present on a certainly-identifiable side. Now for speculation. I personally think the pink-haired cleric is Felicia, the maid. (Partially cause I'm biased and I really like Felicia), but the pink hair, the bonnet, and the characteristics of her clothes such as the white intricate triangle design on the top of her dress, the white sleeve cuffs, the white apron, and the black thigh-high socks (the later two can be seen better in the Nohr boxart with the blue-haired maid) all point to me of this character being Felicia. Thoughts?
  10. From having only played 3 fire emblem games, I was wondering what already existing mission objectives they could implement into the new game. Fire Emblem Awakening had a large majority of its mission objectives as simply rout all the enemies, but I think the nature of the new game, Fire Emblem If, and how it's split into two stories opens up a lot of possibilities in terms of mission objectives for each map. For instance, having a map in the Nohr version with the condition that you have to assassinate a Hoshidan royal or a corrupt individual within the Nohr government in a specific number of turns or have you rescuing captured allies from the opposing side with a limited number of allies (maybe only 1? lol). These ideas probably exist elsewhere in other Fire Emblem games, but what kind of mission objectives or clear conditions (pre-existing or completely new) would you like to see in FE If?
  11. In Fire Emblem If, we will have to choose an adventure. Now, this question is specifically asking: "Who would you side with?" NOT: "Who is morally in the right?" This is what I mean: Choosing Nohr would not be choosing evil, you are choosing the dangerous mission of turning your friends against their evil leader, Garon. This will be more challenging, and you would never know who might stab you in the back. Nohr's leadership is obviously in the wrong. The way i look at it, Garon is the real villain, not your surrogate family that loves and cares about you. This choice is less about good over evil and more about which people don't deserve to be betrayed. Personally, i am most looking forward to the third path that doesn't make you pick a side. But, i think blood is not as strong as bond. Choosing Hoshido would be honorable, in the context of the war over-all. At the same time, i don't want to give up on the people being manipulated by evil. I would choose to save them, and use their strength to help me overthrow the king of darkness. What do you think? This is most assuredly the most important decision in the game, since it sets you down a path very different from the other. Who will you choose? Are you influenced by logic or emotion? Are you bound by Blood... or Loyalty? Neither choice is wrong... but we have to choose.
  12. Um. I'm new, but I've been lurking around this site for awhile. Anyways, after rewatching the April Direct trailor multiple times and finding some screenshots here and there, I figured I might as well share what I've found. First things first. This red haired guy is Saizou, and a lot of people have been thinking that he is perhaps a new class in this game? A Ninja, probably. Anyways, a lot of people have been wondering what Ninjas might use as a weapon and I have an idea. Do you see in Saizou's portrait, right underneath Kamui's sprite, there seems to be some curved wooden... thingie? I honestly believe that this is part of a bow. It's rounded and wooded, and it just seems likely. Maybe I'm crazy, but I do think that if there is a new Ninja class in this game, that there weapon of choice would be a bow. I think I also have other evidence that thieves will use bows in this game as well. Here you can see #teamnohr in some castle or something. Anyways, just focus on the unit between the knight and dark mage(??) You can clearly see in his map sprite that he's holding a bow. Most would probably assume that he's an archer, but I don't think so. Notice in his sprite that he also seems hunched over, similar to Gaius's sprite in awakening. Unless IS is reusing the thief sprite for the new archer sprite, I think that thieve's will now use bows in this game. I know it's not fantastic, ground-breaking evidence, and could easily be disputed, but those are just some of my theories. (I know the above pic is crap, so here's the website where I found it at for a better view. Just scroll thru the screenshots) http://www.rpgsite.net/games/726-fire-emblem-if
  13. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoCc_MAI87M So after my first video, I decided to make a follow up to address new information discovered! Again, I'm looking for critique as well thoughts on the video, as well as starting discussion :) Enjoy.
  14. So,this is a quick poll,I jsut want to know what you guys think. I myself, would prefer end-game relationships/mid-game,if we have a second gen,but I also think that your characters should be able to romance most characters, not all,but most. :) You can expand upon what you chose if you like, have a good day!
  15. So idk if any of you are aware of a possible Nintendo Direct leak which slots it in on the 1st of April (worth noting, April Fool's.) It's from 4chan, which has had some pretty legit Nintendo leaks in the past, but has also had a bunch of fake ones. Anyway, here's what it says on the "Latest in the Fire Emblem series": An atrocious being has arose from the darkness to cause major disorder and injustice during the colonization of a continent recently dubbed "Magvel". In turn, fierce warriors rise in a journey to obtain the necessary relics to protect the country. I'm certainly dubious, and honestly I think it's fake, but I'd like to know people's thoughts on the matter. Like, how would you feel if it were a prequel to SS set during the colonisation of Magvel? For me it's pretty sweet; it would certainly do wonders for the world building of Magvel, given there isn't much of a history on its past other than a handful of vague references (sacred twins, Five Heroes.) And in that case, would it deal with Formotiis again? Does this mean in addition to (or instead of) the speculated West vs East themes, there will also be the returning themes of Sacred Stones (i.e, monsters, demons, risen-type beings.) TL;DR: I think it's fake, but it's an idea worth entertaining, I think.
  16. Dai

    Children

So, let's say for the sake of argument that this game includes children some time down the road. Now, would you want this to be a feature? Personally, I wouldn't mind so long as there is a justified time skip in the game. Say, at least two dozen years for it. It'd be kind of neat to be honest, having a second game do that, but this time, without having, you know. EVERYONE DIE (or whatever goes on in Geneology). Heck, it'd give whatever conflict is going on more scope and realism if it lasted more than just, you know. A few in-game months or so.
  17. The mythical third tier seen in Radiant Dawn. Do you think it should return? If so why? I for one really liked the third tier in RD. Granted that was a game without grinding but it gave me further incentive at the endgame to keep using units and leveling them up. That was also when units got their second weapon type if I recall correctly. I also think it might limit second seal abuse as they decrease experience gained in the long run which you would want to use to level up third tier units. It also promotes having specialized units meaning that if you know you want a certain character to be a beast sword user it might be best to keep him/her on the Myrimidon->Swordmaster->Trueblade track. My only fear is that I have no idea how this would work and balance with the new Awakening features like pair up and part of the reason there were third tiers in RD was because the game itself was so damn long.
  18. Hope this hasn't been posted yet but I went digging around and GameXplain did a pretty good analysis on the trailer from Nintendo Direct. They pointed out alot of things I didn't notice before hand like the battle transitions reflecting the environment, story speculations, and the potential of playing as a third faction apart from the East and West. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRgDBJqeNQs&spfreload=10
  19. So did anyone notice the emblem thing that both Marx and the king are wearing are the same emblem? Look at this: Examine him closely. Then look at Marx Coincidence? I think not! Play the video at a slower speed, 0.25, it's easier to see that way. MODEDIT: yo don't doublepost
  20. During a scene in the trailer you can see someone preform Ice Magic which is interesting topic all on itself but something more interesting is a rat thing you see while the magic is preforming the magic spell. Thanks to The Tree's Apprentice's theory i think i may have a theory on what it is. I think the Magic in this game is going to be based on Feng Sui which is the theory that there are five elements these are: Fire,Water, Earth,Wood and Metal: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/0/07/FiveElementsCycleBalanceImbalance.jpg The Metal element can take the form of ice, and the magic being used in the trailer was Ice magic, represented by a rat spirit. There is something that goes against this theory..The Rat in Chinese mythology is represented by Water not Metal. On the other hand the Rat like the other Chinese Zodiac Animals can be combined with the 5 elements and Water is associated with Ice so it's not a stretch to assume they choose the Rat to represent Ice. This makes me wonder: Will they introduce a Complete Magic Triangle back into the new game with each element being effect and weak to another. Only time will tell. If you are curious about which element each animal represents: Rat: Water Ox: Earth Tiger: Wood Hare: Wood Dragon: Earth Snake: Fire Horse: Fire Ram: Earth Monkey: Metal Rooster: Metal Dog: Earth Pig: Water
  21. Do you think Nintendo will release a bundle for the new fire emblem like they did for awakening? I was planning on buying the new 3ds when it released but after they revealed a new fire emblem the possibility of a sexy FE bundle made me rethink my plans. Any thoughts? Theories?
  22. ...It's a legit question. I found myself worrying yesterday if some of the features that attracted me to Fire Emblem Awakening would be taken out of Fire Emblem IF. Now, mind you this is MY opinion, and I'm aware of the loads of hate Awakening receives, due to the lack of story, and how compared to past installments of the series, it kinda strayed away from its usual way. But I couldn't get enough of having multitudes of Supports. I learned more about these characters I controlled, and I was able to feel like they were more than soldiers because of it. I genuinely wanted to help them to see their cause, and I still play the game with precise care the moment I'm typing this. I loved the idea of an Avatar, a character that was PART of the story. A bad story, I'll admit, but a story nonetheless. The idea you could have children, a spouse, and see them inherit things from you, whether it be skills, or hair colors... I liked it. And then there's DLC and Skirmishes. Ways of grinding, that kept the game interesting, and I could prepare for the ultimate chapters and challenges. This stuff compelled me to take a glimpse at Fire Emblem Awakening, and I couldn't tear my eyes away because of it. But I worry now, because it's clear that the game is near complete. Coming out sometime this Summer (Correct me if I'm wrong?) and the look of the game being so... Filling, I have no reason to suspect they will change much. I've looked when they slowly gave Info about Awakening. How Vaike, Stahl, and Sully had generic models for their sprites. We don't see this now. There's ACTUAL characters now, great animations, and it seems they've got some sort of Story going. What my point is... This game looks like a good bulk is done. The main bulk. Awakening was made with the idea that it was the last in the series, correct? And because of that, they worked their rears off to make Awakening great. And it payed off. Nintendo looks like it values the series, that they put their faith in FE once again, and I couldn't be happier, as within a year this series became my favorite, and I'm ashamed that's because of a simple FE game like Awakening. But... If they work with this mindset of, "This is just another game," this game... Will certainly fall from Awakening's standards. And that's what got so many people on board in the first place: Awakening was a vanilla like Fire Emblem game. Not too much, weapon or class-wise was introduced. So my question here is: Will they work with the mindset of this being the "last" in the series... Or will this be a cheap-Awakening cash-in? (Sorry it was so long! >_< Had this on my mind awhile)
  23. I have a theory that this game might take place in Chon'sin. I mean, in the trailer, the swordsman in the painting right before the dancing girl is wearing attire quite similar to that of the Swordmaster class in Awakening. Both Say'ri and Yen'fay wear attire similar to the swordsman mentioned earlier. Both Say'ri and Yen'fay are from Chon'sin, which we know has a lot similarities to feudal Japan. Plus, if there's anything this trailer can tell us about the environment, it definitely takes a lot of inspiration from feudal japan. Coincidence? I think NOT. Discuss! Edit: Not to say I wouldn't enjoy a fresh game, it would be quite nice actually. I just noticed the similarities.
