  1. So with Roy all but confirmed to be in Smash and by extension be eventually given an Amiibo does this mean that he too will be given a unique character and amiibo support like Ike, Marth, Robin, and Lucina? What do you think his design will look like considering all the others use their own unique portraits and such? Will they take his Awakening design? Use it from Smash? Something new? There's a thread for this. Ignore this thread. EDIT: http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=54559
  2. So Fire Emblem If is coming out. They've released all these trailers and leaked all this info, but my one question remains: Will the American version's gameplay be as good as the Japanese version's? I ponder this due to the fact that once the game comes out in 20 days (for Japan, at least) there will most likely be lots of spoilers on the internet. Everyone will post Let's Plays with translations (because some people who know English and Japanese have a Japanese 3ds), so in theory it will be hard to avoid those kinds of things. Now, given the fact I have no prior experience (Awakening is my only game, and I got it last year) on what happens when Fire Emblem games are released and you guys most likely do, how do you think the gameplay will turn out if there's already spoilers everywhere? In my opinion, it might be moderate, but let me know what you guys think.
  3. It appears in the both her character art and her portrait. Do you think it's going to be her "Legendary Weapon" or will it be more like her "Rapier"?
  4. So a lot of people, myself included, like Aqua, but she'll probably be the Lucina of this game, since they're both featured in a butt ton of artwork, some of the most popular characters with the fans, and one of the most important characters too. With Lucina, you either loved her or hated her, there's no in between. So opinions on her were pretty mixed. I bet it'll be the same for Aqua. When the game comes out, people might not like her personality and thus not like her as a whole but there'd be a few people willing to make exceptions because they like her appearance or something. Hopefully that made sense. Thoughts? also this is my first If thread weeeee
  5. EDIT: I literally just noticed someone else just made the same topic a few minutes before me lol. I am trying to delete this post but I cannot figure it out so ignore it i guess. Hey guys, I am sure most of you seen luna (a new character in fire emblem if) who oddly enough resembles Severa from awakening. I don't know if anyone made a topic about her specifically yet but I am very curious as to why they did this. I could see this happening if she wasn't in the last game but a few ago and they wanted to reference her, but this is TOO unreal. Not only does she share the same class, hair color (default of mother Cordelia) and in japan at least the same voice actor. My question is what do you think is going on here? Is it her from another world, a twin sister, or possible from a different time. I want to hear your guesses, and why they decided to include it anyway.
  6. Picture, here: http://i.imgur.com/uYZhLi9.jpg Found on reddit, which was found on GFAQ's, so all credit here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/114533-fire-emblem-if-black-kingdom/71878051 Relevant information paraphrased: Cyrus (Cavalier) - both verisons Elfie (Female Knight) - Nohr Harold (Gaston/Fighter) - Nohr Hinata (Myrmidon) - Hoshido Oboro (Lance Fighter) - Hoshido Rinka (Oni) - Hoshido Tsukuyomi (Red Hair) - Hoshido Felicia can reclass(promote?) to a Brave Hero, a Bow Knight and a Strategist Multiple promotion options seem more likely. EDIT Report on the main site EDIT2: Digital issue is now out. Only new piece of info I can find is that Harold can promote from a Fighter(?) to a Berserker. 7. So, for every single thing we've heard about FE14, I've become more sure. We've heard about tons of complicated changes, such as the removal of weapon durability in exchange for making all the weapons have some sort of effect, a shield meter and two types of Pair Up, as well as enemy pair-ups... I feel like the new game is going to be VERY complex with it's mechanics, similar to FE5 (what with stamina, dismounting, and all the other stuff the other games haven't had). It could also explain Pheonix Mode, so IS can cater to new players who don't want to have to constantly keep track of the new mechanics. I actually don't fear these changes at all, since I feel that Awakening removed too many mechanics and almost didn't have ENOUGH depth. Any thoughts?
  8. So, new here, and not sure where to post this... But here I go. I apologize for coming off as ranting at first. So, I remember that Fire Emblem: Awakening (for example) came out April 19th 2012, while in the west it first came out in North America on February 4th 2013, and April 19th 2013 for Europe. Now, with the hype for Fire Emblem: if, I've begun to worry that the same thing will happen to this game. It'll be released in Japan on June 25th THIS YEAR, while in the west it's set for 2016. And I do worry that it'll come out early 2016 in America (for one bloody reason or another...) and later for Europe. I rather that it doesn't happen, as I feel it not only makes no sense, it is not particularly fair for Europe to have to wait a (almost) complete year. And I don't want to hear that USA has a bigger gaming market, because that's poppycock. Anywho; moving swiftly along, what are your thoughts about the gap between Japanese release date and the western 2016 release date? And yes, I know the localization and such are important factors.
  9. Ok, so we all know about the dancer character being on both sides no matter what your choice/side. But after looking through the Nintendo directs from both January and April I found two other characters that may also exist independent of what side you choose. Let's first take a look at what I will call the pink-haired cleric: In this image, you can obviously tell that this is the Hoshido side. You can even see Sakura behind the cursor! Now notice the pink-haired girl at the very bottom of the image. Clearly she is a Hoshido ally based on her blue clothes and health bar. However, take a look at this screenshot: This is obviously Nohr's campaign based on Camilla's sprite--the dragon rider next to the dancer character--being blue (and not red). Now look on the very left of the image at the pink-haired cleric. Notice her sprite is also blue, same as Camilla. What the hell??! What this means is that in this screenshot, the pink-haired cleric is allied with the Nohr side instead of the Hoshido. In this picture I would also like to point out the leftmost cavalier--the one with the blueish-grey hair. Once again, his sprite color represents his Nohr-side alliance. However, both he and the pink-haired cleric can be seen on the completely opposite side in this screenshot from the January direct: The characters are located to the west and the south of the green-haired sprite, an ally of Hoshido's Kazahana; making them both allies of Hoshido. WOULD YOU TWO MAKE UP YOUR MINDS ALREADY?!? However, there is another more interesting problem with the bluish-grey-haired cavalier: In this screenshot we can see that this is the Hoshido campaign from both Sakura being blue and the giant Hoshido caption in the upper corner. Notice the blueish-grey-haired cavalier's sprite being red in this screenshot, an enemy unit. Since he is the only enemy unit present in this dialogue scene, he must be somewhat important in this particular chapter. Maybe he is an enemy unit (a Nohr unit) and you are able to talk him over to your side? Can't say for sure. That's all the evidence I have with these characters present on a certainly-identifiable side. Now for speculation. I personally think the pink-haired cleric is Felicia, the maid. (Partially cause I'm biased and I really like Felicia), but the pink hair, the bonnet, and the characteristics of her clothes such as the white intricate triangle design on the top of her dress, the white sleeve cuffs, the white apron, and the black thigh-high socks (the later two can be seen better in the Nohr boxart with the blue-haired maid) all point to me of this character being Felicia. Thoughts?
  10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LD-d8AArOb0 Been working on this non-stop since the trailer was released! Please leave feedback on my idea as well as production and enjoy the video!
  11. A few things I want to see return that I was disappointed to find that Awakening didn't have are 1) the wheather. Fog of War and rain properties added a different experiance in the GBA titles that I wanted to see return and 2) more map clear options. All there was were route enemies and defeat boss. No sieze, defend, escape, etc. and I would like to see those return.
  12. So far in the trailer, the costumes on display look alright. The pegasus riders look well covered, as do the heroes. The blue haired dancer looks a bit lame imo. I personally dont like the net she wears to cover her mouth, but i guess its still pretty good looking Also, this time round, i really hope that the devs decide to make some better costumes for some classes. Namely the dark mage/sorcerer for females. They looked waaaay to stupid and skimpy in Awakening, and i'd like to see something more practical and good looking this time round So what do you guys think? Would you like to see some new threads for characters this time round? Or do you reckon they're fine as they are?
