  1. This is my first time doing an Ironman run! Difficulty: Normal Classic Avatar Name: Celestin Gender: Male Boon: + Resistance Bane: - Luck Talent: Sky Knight Here are some of the specifications: -I will not restart any map unless Celestin dies. Each time he dies, I will randomly select a character to permanently bench. -Buying skills and using any of the My Castle features are perfectly fine. -I am not starting at Branch of Fate, since I don’t want to lose valuable experience gathered. -All characters that will be used for combat will be immediately reclassed at the first opportunity. The female characters who will not be Falcon Knights will be Witches. The male characters who will not be Falcon Knights will be Ballisticians. -Characters who are not these three classes can be used to produce children, but can have minimal to no exposure to combat. -Given the nature of this Ironman, DLC can and will be used. However, deaths will not count in DLC maps that do not yield EXP. -Anna will be used, as well as any second-gen units I see fit. No captured units are allowed. Screenshots are coming soon!
  2. I think it's been a few years since I've done a LP on SF. Real life has been quite busy, and well working in medicine hasn't allowed me much respite due to current events. But now and then I think I can take some time for myself and get back into the hobby of gaming. Banner of the Maid is a relatively new tactical CRPG that on first glance looks like a cross between Fire Emblem and FFTA in terms of isometric map perspective. It's set during a fictionalized account of the French Revolution so a few familiar historical names are thrown around. The game is built on the Unity Engine. It's made by Azure Flame Studio which is based in Mainland China. It has been translated to English, although the voice acting is in Mandarin Chinese. I'll be going into this completely blind. I won't be screenshotting on the dialogue, so I'll sum up some things.

  4. Battle for Wesnoth has been around as long as I can remember. I have tapped and prodded it on and off for close to a decade now. It is the effort of many hands over the course of years. People who've been there from closer to the start remember a time before it was the polished, Steam-worthy production it is today. when did this become more beautiful than this? Wesnoth is, itself, a tactical, turn-based RPG. Your minions are somewhat individual, though not to the degree of, say, most Fire Emblem characters. It is also unashamedly reliant on the RNG - most of the time, units on flat ground will hit each other 60% of the time, and it's very rare to see higher than 70% or lower than 30%. It was thrown out into the world as an engine. People of varying ability wrote and designed campaigns for it. There is an extensive and by this stage generally excellent standard of both portrait and sprite art, pretty decent music, and a competitive online scene. It's evolving, but some rules remain the same. Myself and Integrity (each of us having finished... approximately a third of the campaigns before) will teach you how to survive in this cold, unfeeling environment, as we complete all sixteen of the campaigns that are not called Under the Burning Suns. We will need your help. Specifically, minions - they're renamable, and sometimes to a degree customisable in terms of promotion paths. Anyone who puts themselves up for adoption in the thread will have a guy named after them for each campaign. Feel free to specify if you generally want to be, say, a tough melee guy, or a flashy skirmisher, an archer or a wizard. I'll adapt your preference to the available unit list of the given campaign - each deals with a different race and thus has different options available to them. This will start to be implemented in the second campaign each onwards - we're starting off with the easy baby campaigns, before moving onto the longer epics. The menu has many options, none of which I'm going to bother you wi- w h a t t h e f u c k -th. There is also a tutorial. It does not matter. But ill just give a basic run down of what this thing is. This project is a continuation of my FE11 image LP that I originally started to document for a friend of mine who does not play videogames. And soon it spiraled into a Visual Novel inspired reinterpretation of FE12's plot. The continuity of the story follows the FE11 LP, but I write with the intention that reading the first LP Is not a requirement. My goal of this project is two things; Firstly; Remixing elements to make the fan translation of FE12 to be more coherent, focused on Marth, add more character interactions, and I add new twists along Marth's journey through the War of Heroes, and to start there is a new MU. Replacing Kris is a traveler named Pearl, a sailor who has a knack for dark magic. They plot to get into the knighting academy to retrieve the Falchion for their own ritual to bring someone they love dear. Secondly; is to analyze and commentate on the player interactions within the game universe. By treating the actions I take to always be "canon" you see then the ripple effect of how my actions impact the characters in the world psychologically and physically. This can be as direct as evidence of this being an "iron man" run, and when friends die – characters take time to lament over my own player incompetence. Yet, on the other hand, the impact of this player controlling characters relationship can be taken to its logical extreme; some questioning the fact of "is Naga the true god here"?, characters with cannon "future sight" abilities horrified that things are not / will not go "by the in-game script", "save stating" and then "reloading" makes characters feel as if they're taken out of their own bodies or violated mentally, to something as little as our own spotless "goodie two-shoes Prince Marth being aware of how easy it is for any character to kill their friends they know canonically if and when the own gameplay allows for it. And not only knowing that he can but having the baseline motivation to do so in the first place, because the gameplay allows both him and you the player to shank your friends. In short; every deviation from "the sparse canon script" is to be heavily noted for it was done intentionally because of player interaction with the stories fate itself. It is called a "rewrite". It's this balance between both "bumping up" the script and bringing in meta-commentary which has made it somewhat difficult to find a platform to showcase this work, but I think you guys would quite enjoy this.   10. So here's my thread for every LP that isn't my primary LP (currently Valkyria Chronicles 4, go ahead and check it out by clicking that link). Here, you can expect to see video LPs of various games. Anyway, I'll try to post videos for three games over the course of each week. So with that, my first vid will be Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, Book 1. And in this part, Ogma and Caeda show off just how awesome they are while Cain and Abel also are total one-crit wonders.
  11. Hello everyone! After having lots and lots of fun playing circleseverywhere's self-randomizing FE8, I decided to finally make this run. The rules are simple : 1- Let's have fun - The run must be played on hard mode, with the default settings for a randomization. 2- Time loop rule : no man down - If a unit dies, the run is reset. The seed will be named after the dead unit. 3 - No cheating - If I'm stuck against the Demon King because I have no legendary weapons, that's life. I have to redo the whole run in order to get a chance to get a legendary weapon. However, this case should be extremely rare and if I ever reach the Demon King, I should have a weapon at my disposal. 4 - Playing for fun - I'll try to turtle as less as I could in order to make the run entertaining. That means for example that I shouldn't grind bards/dancers just to make it easier for me. Everything is fair game as long as it's efficient. With that in mind, let's begin! Prologue and Chapter 1 I have no clue if I'll ever be able to finish this, but expect a wild ride.
  12. I'm constantly commentating, speaking my mind, interacting with viewers, trying to figure out which units are good/bad while doing my best to keep every one alive. The game also runs on 60 fps with upscaling, so it looks very smooth and detailed on top. I'm looking forward to getting to know you and don't forget to say hello to my waifu.
  13. Well, today I got some rare free time, and decided to try playing Fates again after about a year hiatus. I thought I'd limit myself by trying an Ironman run. The Rules: 1: We will be playing on Lunatic/Classic 2: We will not reset if a unit dies. If my Corrin dies, I reserve the right to try again, or this might be a very short run. 3: No DLC grinding for XP or gold. Grinding supports in castle battles is okay. 4: I will limit myself to one "bought" skill per unit 5: No Bond units will be used, but "Captured" units are okay. 6: We will be starting after the route split. 7: Children paralogs will be played, if available, and children units are okay to use. 8: I will be skipping over most of the story for this LP, since it's more about seeing how well badly I do. 9: To make things interesting, I will let the audience pick who my Corrin will wed in holy matrimony. 10: If I forgot any rules, I reserve the right to add more rules. I've already married Jakob and Kaze in past playthroughs, so I prefer to try someone different, but we'll see how it goes. If the top choice dies before we can consummate the marriage, I'll try to pick the next top available choice.   14. Some years back, I started a randomized run of FE7 on another forum. In the nearly four years since, I've updated through Chapter 4 and the original forum has effectively died. I'm migrating the previous updates here, and while I plan on having Chapters 5 and 6 done before the weekend is up, this is still going to be an infrequently-updated LP. The Format I've randomized basically everything but unit movement, and the extent to which I randomized certain numbers was more or less decided by RNG in itself. In the event that the game becomes unplayable before Lyn's story ends, I'll restart; otherwise it's the end of the playthrough (unless it's a simple fix). After unlocking Eliwood's story I might re-roll just to keep things fresh; if I'm really bored I might do HHM with some more ridiculous changes. By and large, updates will be pictures and gifs with text commentary below. This will, unfortunately, include my attempts at humor, which in general are less amusing than the scenario itself. Failed attempts at chapters may be posted as their own updates, as sidebars in the chapter completion update, or ignored altogether depending on my whims. At this point I'm still undecided on how to handle unit losses past Lyn's story, so anyone who wants to chime in is more than welcome to. Previous Updates

This'll give me something else interesting to do while I think about Support chain ideas for Sanctaea Chronicles. Here are my settings. It won't be anything too crazy, I don't think. I'm not going to randomize items. It's too bad characters in originally gender-locked classes won't be able to use new sprites. I guess we'll just have to pretend they're in drag. So yeah... I think that's all I have to say for this intro. Anyway, let's give this thing a spin!

  19. Hello Friends! Some of you might be aware how excited I have been for the release of Octopath Traveler. Ever since the game was announced and I played the first demo, I have been nonstop talking about this game. Now I am here to share some of my thoughts as I journey through the land of Orsterra and step into the shoes of these 8 protagonists. Things to keep in mind as reading this This is my first play through of the game, so I can promise I won't find all of the little hidden gems along the way. This play through will be essentially blind. I did play the prologue chapter demo for each of the protagonists before the game came out, but I am not looking anything else up about the game. Please do not spoil things that have no been mentioned in the play through. This is not only for my sake, but for others who might not wanted to be spoiled ahead.
