  1. To start, I'd like to apologize if this is a question that has already been asked, as well as answered, however I did not find one, so I decided to make it myself. Basically, once you tapped an Amiibo Unit 3 times, you can tap them a 4th time to get them to help around the castle. Additionally, if they appear in your Accessory Shop or Armory Shop, they will sell the special gifts (In the Accessory Shop) that you were originally offered when tapping the Amiibo's the first couple times, as well as "Mock Weapons" or "Replica's" of their Legendary equipment (In the Armory Shop) that any Unit can wield. My issue is that I do not have the money to buy any of the Amiibo, but I want to acquire said weapons. I would like to know if I visited someone else's castle if I would be able to purchase the "Mock Weapons" from their Armory, assuming that an Amiibo unit is running the shop. If so, I would like to request My Castle Address' so that I can visit your castle and purchase them. If you'd like, I can give you an accessory of your choice. If I somehow still don't have said accessory you want, I'll just give you a random one. Thank you for your time. <3 tl;dr: Does anyone know if I can buy "Mock Weapons" from other Castles? Could I please get a Castle Address that has Amiibo Units if you can? I can send you an accessory in exchange, of your choosing, if you'd like. <3 Thanks. PS: My 3DS is not hacked, so I can't use a mod to force unlock Amiibo Units either, so this is basically my only option as I don't trust myself enough to try modding it.
  2. Hello, I don't really know who is better, I have the following Heroes 5 Stars with following stats : Marth HP 44 Atk 47 Spd 31 Def 29 Res 26 Roy HP 48 Atk 46 Spd 31 Def 25 Res 28 Seliph HP 52 Atk 50 Spd 24 Fef 30 Res 22 At the moment I'm using Roy the most, I put on him Draconic Aura, I feel selip to low vs Tome even if he got lot HP , so I think I may chose between Roy and marth that are more balanced, Roy got more HP and like passive of his sword and in special the seal that give him -7 def to anemy that is really impressive. But I also like marth vs beast, the 10 Hp each 5 trun and Escaper rout skill ( to save friends). What do you think is better? and special WHY for you is better? Thanks a lot ( and sorrry for my bad english) PS. i got Erika too but 4 star, don't feel to spend feather on her atm with so many Red 5 star. (or I should?)
  3. I don't know if this is just my game personally but I've noticed that no matter how much I increase the skill cap with statues, my amiibos skill cap doesn't go up. However, any other statues will increase other stat caps. Anybody else having this happen?
  4. Something I've noticed...I scanned them in the fourth time, and all of them had the Armory Shield equipped so I could have them work in the armory. I scanned Lucina last...and what I noticed was that she was in both armories...Dawn AND Dusk, in Revelations. Secondly, after multiple battles, the Amiibo never showed up again, in the armory or otherwise. And then I tried rescanning them in...at least, Marth. By this point, I had removed the accessory, and he was working another shop. It seems that the Amiibo only work in a shop ONCE after you've scanned them in, and, in order to get them to start working again, you need to re-scan that Amiibo. Does anyone else know if this is the case?
  5. I'm playing Conquest (hard/classic, if it matters) and I wanna try my hand at planning ahead. Is the Lodestar class viable? I know Xander benefits from it quite a bit, but would it be acceptable to not change him into another class?
  6. Hey, I figured I'd try something different and do a let's play. Sadly I lack the gear currently to screenshot or record 3DS games, so this will have to be all text. But I'm a fairly good writer, so I'm hoping this'll be worthwhile to read anyway. Figured out how to do screenshots. I'm going to be doing what I call Fire Emblem STEAM. I'm going to play through the story mode of Intelligent Systems' latest game (for the west anyway), Code Name: S.T.E.A.M., and I'm going to do it entirely with the fire emblem characters whenever possible. Now, since I hate most of the color changes characters take on (and all of the amiibo ones) when you retry a mission, I'm going to be going through each of these missions on a fresh file, first run, so there will be mandatory party members I'll have to let tag along for certain missions and drop one of my amiibos for (*cough* Ike *cough*), and missions 1-1, 1-2 and 1-3 will be done without amiibos since they're not available at that point. Scratch that, turns out those color changes are only for challenge modes, which I won't be doing. I'll be playing through every level of the game using just those four units. I'll be honest, while I vow to stick with this as long as I can, I don't know if I'll be able to see this through to the end, or if it's even possible. Being locked to a specific party that lacks access to three crucial gameplay elements (a halfway decent overwatch attack, a healing weapon, and a weapon capable of hitting weakpoints on big enemies) just seems incredibly limiting. What's more, the amiibo units... vary... drastically... in terms of quality, and even the best ones don't last long against the final boss due to a special strategy involving tanks and healing seeming to be pretty much required from my limited experience fighting it. If anybody has any advice for me I'd appreciate it. Also, while I may go back on this later, for now I plan to try and do this without using save points, and refusing to reset until I get a game over. I had a tendency to play through the game on fire emblem instinct, resetting the moment somebody was defeated, and I think it would be fun to exploit the fact that this is the one strategy game where you can play as fire emblem characters that don't suffer from permadeath, and see what kind of exciting down-to-the-wire struggles I can find myself in. I'm not going for score, I'm aiming for just winning. I'll skip gears unless they're basically free to grab, and I won't care about medals unless I later decide to use save points. I'm going to skip talking about the first set of missions since that's going to be standard fare, nothing unique or interesting there. So the first entry you'll see of this will be mission 2. Again, change of plans, I'll be starting on chapter 1.
  7. Hey everyone! Welcome to another awesome FE12 playthrough by me, PKL! This time, I will be tackling Maniac Mode again but with no growths. In my quest to be like dondon...be a LTC master improve at this game there will be no growths this time! So, the rules: 1. Maniac Mode (H2) Difficulty. Classic Mode. 2. Rainbow Potion and Bond Drop are allowed. Growth Drop is banned. 3. Lunatic is assumed to have been played, so Lunatic statboosters will be available. 4. Mixed Class Sets for Male Units are allowed. 5. I will be playing through the game as fast as possible but if a chapter is deemed too difficult to LTC for the challenge, stalling is fair game. 6. Full Recruitment. 7. No permanent unit deaths allowed. 8. How's everyone is super banned. 9. Strategies must be a little bit reliable at least. Went with Orphan for Max Str. Makes it easier to hit important kill benchmarks throughout the Prologue. Went with Skl/Spd for the next best thing. I wish I could have both +2 str and +2 Spd. +2 Spd lets MU not get doubled by some P8 Thieves but that's not as important as hitting 1 point harder. It makes a ton of difference. 8. :Roy:Well... I've been thinking about what FE smash character is the best. I vote Roy. Who do you think is the best?
  9. I was wondering if you could romance your units together, like Awakening.
  10. I'll be getting spotpass characters soon... so I'm wondering, when it comes to stats and just overall, should I get Prince Marth or King Marth?
  11. Hi. I've tried everything to run this on my android because I don't have a computer. I've got the ROM. But I don't know how to put the patch it on the game. It keeps saying Patching failed Patch format not supported. I'm using UniPatcher and my Emulator is Smart NDS Emulator. Help?
  12. .... or do they function like Einherjar in Awakening once recuirted.
  13. So since we now have yet another Fire Emblem character with a cape my interest in the cape designs made me want to make a video on it but when I did some research I did not find that much information so I'd like to ask you guys what some of these symbols/insignias are if they have any meaning at all. I will also add the information in this topic. Marth's The symbol of the Archanea nation. Ike's Greil Mercenaries. Roy's Elibe's Fire Emblem. Lucina's Mark Of Naga. Two Nagas. Three Grima eyes. I hope someone knows what these symbols are supposed to represent! (Also sorry if there is already a post like this I created this account today for the purpose of posting this thread)
  14. So! Smash Brothers for 3DS! Watching Gameplay for the Wii U, it must be hella' lotta easier to use a controller, I'm guessing. So I'm used to using customized fighters against other customized fighters. By customized, I mean both custom moves, and custom items, such as those involving Attack, Speed, Defence, the whole sha-bang. I tried For Glory last night. I played for 5 matches. ...I lost all five. For the majority of them, I used my star Marth. While I'm used to using customized moves, again, the Marth I had made only varied when it came to his counter, which lasted a bit longer. But I got friggin' crushed. I don't know how people do it, I went up against, what, three damns Yoshi's? Their air attacks are just... Too much. But I realized, well, I've known, but it only began to frustrate me that Marth has so many laggy moves. His aerial attacks are hard to land, and if they miss, you WILL be punished. The same can be said for his dash attack. Oh, GOD his dash attack. I'm guessing that playing on the Wii U is much more flexible, or easier than the 3DS. But does anyone have any tips for Marth? Any Combos, or anything?

  16. As I'm sure many of us have, I've been playing a lot of Smash for 3DS, especially with the four Fire Emblem characters. Gotta say it's great, and they're all fun. Except... I think I'm missing something with Marth. So, I know the main difference between Marth and Lucina is that Marth does more damage at the tip of his sword and less damage on the rest of it, while Lucina's damage is a balanced middle along the entire blade. My first thought was "oh, so Lucina is a kind of skill-gate character. You play as her to get used to the mechanics, but Marth will be better since he takes more skill to use." I thought the tipper was enough to make Marth the superior character. Except, in practice, it isn't; at least in my experience so far. Because Lucina's sword is balanced throughout, she doesn't have to rely on keeping the enemy a certain distance away. As long as her sword can touch them, it will do solid damage. This means that she actually has a useful up-smash, unlike Marth's, which is completely useless unless you land the tipper (which is more trouble than it's worth, and you should probably up-tilt instead). Also, Marth's sword has been shortened even more since Brawl, which itself had shortened it from Melee. I'm pretty sure it's shorter than Link's sword now. Lucina's Falchion is of the same length, but if you have to get that much closer to hit someone, it's easier to just close the distance and attack than closing the distance while also worrying about landing the tipper. And the tipper itself. In Melee, the tipper was much easier to land, and was integral to his attacks. In Brawl, the tipper was made significantly smaller and much harder to land, which continues into SSB4. This was fine and dandy in Brawl, but now he has a clone who is better off without the tipper. (And he doesn't have chaingrabs anymore, but that's beside the point.) Ironically, I can't help but compare Marth to Roy. Roy 'sucked' because he had a poor sweetspot on his weapon, and sourspotting his attacks would hit like a wet noodle. Marth is the same way in this game. If you don't land that precise tipper, that forward-smash isn't doing anything. Meanwhile, Lucina's forward-smash is amazing, and can kill at medium percentages. Not to mention how both characters have the revamped Shield Breaker, which is basically the same thing in case their forward-smash is stale. Except Marth's Shield Breaker runs into the same problem as his up-smash: gotta land that tipper, bro. Stabbing is not Marth's strong suit. So I'd deduced most of this while playing, but then a thought occurred to me. The two Falchions deal different damages, but what about knockback? From what I've been able to determine since then, I've found that they are pretty much exactly the same. That is, Lucina's knockback isn't distributed throughout her sword; rather, it's identical to Marth's Falchion. An example is both character's down-aerials. I had assumed that Marth was the only one with a meteor smash, since you had to land the tipper for that to work and Lucina, well, didn't have one of those. I had also tried to land a meteor with Lucina several times and failed, but apparently those failures were just me sucking at the game, because I now know that her dair does, in fact, have a meteor smash at the tip. It seems to be just as powerful, too. I basically dropped my 3DS at this point, completely dumbfounded. What does Marth have that Lucina doesn't? Lucina appears to be superior in practically every way to Marth, with his only advantage being that little tipper. I posit that question to anyone reading this: am I missing something with Marth? Does he have some other advantage I don't know about? I hope the great Marth doesn't have to step down from his consistent place in the upper echelons of the tier lists. TL;DR: What's so great about Marth compared to Lucina? Thanks for the reply.
  17. We already know that Marth, Ike, Robin and Lucina will be playable in SSB4. To my mind there's at least one character too much already. Lucina looks more like a copy of Marth. And there are too many swordusers: Link, Marth, Ike, Lucina, Robin and Toon-Link. She seems to be more like a filler. I just don't like it, if "clones" will be added only to inflate the character roster. "Fire Emblem" will represent the same number of characters like the "Mario" and "Zelda" series did in SSBB and even more than the "Kirby" and "Starfox" series. Is "Fire Emblem" really that important now that this franchise should have 4 character spots in SSB4?
  18. So I've had a question that's been bugging me for a while and I thought I'd ask you guys and see what you thought. Who of the various lords do you consider the most efficient in their game? FE 1 Marth FE 12 Marth Hector Alm Chrom Seliph FE 9 Ike
  19. http://muhplastic.tumblr.com/post/56646676623 After getting announced, finally we get the prototype whoo~ No color yet, but still good. Especially for those who wasn't very happy with Tharja figure.
  20. I've heard this mentioned plenty of times and have yet to see anyone state an actual reason for this.Yes, I'll admit Awakening was a jack-of-all things good throughout the series, but don't you think this is a little pushing it? Granted, I wont deny that there may be similarities, but I'd really like to know where the idea comes from.
  21. Hello everyone! This is my first topic posted but I wanted to discuss an idea I had for the upcoming smash 4. As we all know Marth has finally been confirmed and now the issue remains as to who will be the second rep. Other questions also come into play such as can fire emblem get three characters, or will Marth get a Lucina skin. These questions are difficult to answer at the moment although there is strong evidence for Chrom. Now the real issue I wanted to discuss here was that of character representation and how the fire emblem series has fallen under the flavor of the month category. If you are not familiar with the term it means the game uses the newest character and replaces one who isn't relevant anymore. This can be seen in the case of Ike replacing Roy. Now Fire Emblem isn't the only series stuck in this category, it happens with pokemon to some extent, with Mewtwo being swapped out for Lucario and possibly pichu for trainer. However, other pokemon can get some representation through the pokeball item. For example, players can pick up a randomly dropped pokeball and call out someone to assist them, like Chikorita using razor leaf on the other characters. This can give the pokemon series a very good representation as many pokemon appear and it is not through the use of assist trophies. Here comes the idea: what if the same principal were applied to FE characters. You can call out a certain character to help do your bidding on the battle field. Instead of a pokeball, we would use an Einherjar card to summon characters, much like what happens in awakening's dlc. An example I'll use is Hector. Unfortunately he will probably not be playable, but let's say he made an appearance through this system. Your character can grab a card item and summon him in a way similar to calling out a pokemon. He would come onto the stage and smash everyones face in with his axe. With this system many characters from all the different fire emblems could appear. Different classes who are not blue haired lords could get some great representation too. Lissa could be summoned to heal the player who called her out, a strong mage could attack with a powerful spell, a weaker mage could attack with a simple tome like fire, thunder or wind. The possibilities are endless. Another important point to bring up is how this would separate the FE characters from the assist trophies. Lyn would now be moved to a card but would more or less do the same thing. Now you could make the argument that each series could get this kind of special item. That would be interesting too, but the franchises that fall into flavor of the month benefit from this the most. If you have any thoughts on to why this would or wouldn't work feel free to state them. If you have any ideas of which characters should be represented in the Einherjar cards or which attacks they would use please comment that too. Anyway, it's just an idea I was tossing around.
  22. Dear fellow Fire Emblem fans, The first Fire Emblem game that I played was the very first one released in the US/ Europe. The game that got me interested was Super Smash bros. melee. Roy was my favorite character, and he was someone I wasn't even familiar with. When Fire Emblem was released for the first time in a language I could understand I immediately bought the game, and fell in love... Fire Emblem is my all time favorite game with Jaffar being my favorite character in this game. (Zach Fair is my all time favorite video game character) With the release of Sacred stones I was once again captivated, but let down at the same time. By the time the endgame had come along all of my characters were lvl. 20/20... Grinding was made possible, and as a result every decision I now made carried significantly less weight. Exp. could be gained unlimited. When Path of Radiance was released I was filled with joy. However after playing through the game without ever having to really think about any of the decisions that I made with once again all of my characters at lvl. 20/20 by the time I finished the game, and to top it all off the story wasn't even done... When the Nintendo DS was released I happened to have enough money to buy one with the hope that one day a Fire Emblem game would be released on the system. What a disappointment Shadow Dragon was... Due to my disappointment with Path of Radiance, and my lack of finances I decided to not buy a Wii, and let this one pass me by. When I caught wind of Awakening being released I pre-ordered the limited edition Fire Emblem 3ds XL. This is the game that I am currently still playing. (Actually the only reason I bought a 3ds, and the only game that I own on a 3ds) I'm on my first play through, (Hard/ Classic) and will not pass any (real) judgement until I've at least beaten it. Due to the possibility of grinding... (I seriously hate grinding...) the difficulty level is a joke, and obviously has nothing to do with why it is taking me so long to beat this game. I'm a very casual gamer, and the story/ game has not been able to motivate me to keep playing out of excitement for what's to come next. That, and I'm very indecisive when it comes to picking a partner for myself, and all of my other characters... I'm actually here to seek help for that... :P (And to thank whoever made the translation to Sword of Seals which I will be playing once I've finished Awakening :D)
  23. Okay, I don't have the time or the patience to do this, but some people out there might. I want to know what happens when you rout the "overpowered" knights in the prologue when you're supposed to sacrifice one of your units. You may say to yourself "That's impossible!", but I assure you, it's not. You just need to grind a lot, or use an emulator. Here's how you do it:
  24. Part of my excitement for Awakening was the possibility that he and Chrom would duke it out in a battle between two eras that was caused by some supernatural force and eventually team up Now, what if he really did make an appearance? How do you think the story would change? Would the story even be the same? How would Chrom and House Ylisse react? Head cannons: ACTIVATE!
