  1. I was spurred on to create this thread due to the release of the most recent game, Metal Gear Survive, being today. Anyone else fans of this series? I myself have played MG 1 & 2, all of the numbered Solid titles (including the $40 demo that is Ground Zeroes; curse me for being a loyalist), Peace Walker, and a bit of Acid and Portable Ops. And I've actually been trying to consider whether or not to get Survive, as I've heard good things from those who've played it. My personal favorite games from the series are - in order of favor - MGS 3, MGS 2, and MG Peace Walker. Though I've thoroughly enjoyed every game I've played, even controversial ones like 4 and Phantom Pain.
  2. It’s my birthday today. You know last year I played the original Xenoblade Chronicles game for the first time on my birthday, it was really something, a shame that I can’t include Xenoblade X on this list because I haven’t I haven’t started playing it yet. Which I should soon and a review will be coming. But for now, I want to see what games everyone really liked playing this year. I’m going to list my favorite games that I played in 2015 and I would like for you all to share your own as well. I played a lot of older games I had shelved for a while, so this list isn’t going to only feature games released in 2015 and in fact don’t be surprised to see games that are 2 generations old. Bloodborne is off this list since I didn’t play much of it, it was on a friend's PS4 but I don’t have a PS4 myself so I didn’t get to play it past the first boss. I didn’t play that much of Rocket League either. An honorable mention goes to The Beginner’s Guide. Okay without further ado, here are my favorites that I played during 2015 with a brief description for each. Mine is in no order. Metroid Prime Trilogy: Super Mario Maker Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain: Persona 3 FES and Persona 4 Undertale Fallout 4: Tabletop Simulator: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt: That is all for today folks, what are your favorite games that you played this year? Doesn’t have to be one released this year of course, feel free to list them here, and you don't need a description if you don't want to of course. And thank you to everyone who read if even some of the reviews I posted throughout the year, it’s been fantastic. It's still the morning, I’ll go and see what the rest of my birthday has to offer. Happy birthday to you too, Sully. *Wink*
  3. So in an [it's "http://www.gamevoices.co.uk/profiles/blogs/april-s-gamevoices-interview-is-with-the-extremely-entertaining-m]interview with Gamevoices[/url], VA/"mo-cap guy" Reuben Langdon mentioned that he played Raiden in Super Smash Bros.: Since Raiden didn't appear at all in Brawl, nor has he ever been voiced by Langdon, many people took this as confirmation that Raiden would appear in some capacity in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS.Later, Langdon claimed that he had mixed up Super Smash Bros. with Playstation All-Stars. However, many have noted this explanation is problematic, as Langdon has not previously voiced Raiden at all(not even in PSA), nor did he do mo-cap work for him in that game since Raiden's animations were ripped from MGR:R(and no, he didn't do mo-cap work for that game either). Edit: I should note that Reuben Langdon has done voice work as Ken Masters and Dante (from Devil May Cry), so he's a notable name. Also keep in mind that this isn't the first time something like this has happened: David Hayter revealed Jigglypuff's return fro Brawl, and Krystal's VA (Alesia Glidewell) leaked that Krystal would be appearing in Brawl. Edit 2: Gamevoices has amended the interview: I should also point out that it's possible that Langdon did uncredited mocap work for the cut scenes in PSA.
  4. New trailer of MGSV from E3 today, get hyped. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhxtfpYo7yo Looks pretty cool overall. I think Ocelot looks really silly, and Punished Snake seems kind of like an arbitrary nickname just to have one, but otherwise I'm impressed. The gameplay seems to have been improved upon a lot since 4 which was already great. Stuff like the horse move is really simple but cool nonetheless. The open world also means lots of variation, which is exciting. I like the new characters as well as far as designs go, though there's not much on them. And then all of those cool things become infinitely less amazing when you realize it's an XBOX One exclusive. God dammit, Kojima. this isn't true, oops Thoughts?
