  1. I’ve been having this thought for a bit now, cause my main pairing for Camilla is Odin but I keep debating on what happens to her after the game. Does she stay in Fatesland or does she go with Odin/Owain, and presumably Ophelia, to his world? I doubt she’d be all that keen on leaving her family but I think she’d want Odin/Owain to be happy too and be able to back to his home and family. I just don’t know what to do about her. So what do you all think, do you think Camilla would stay or leave?
  2. Let's face it, Odin is unfortunately one of the worst units in the games due to his stats. While he is great skill inheritance fodder due native access to Blardblade, Moonbow and R Tomebreaker, his stat arrangement is too focused on HP. His speed is average and he has an 'okay' balanced mixed defenses of 25. His greatest weakness, however, is his abyssmal Atk stat of 22- only higher than Azama. Odin's playstyle requires a lot of team support, so he's not a unit you would typically use for modes like Arena because you typically have to build your team around him. That said, if you still want to make some use of him or just want to use him out of favouritism, there's no stopping you from using him in PvE game modes where his defensive prowess would be more useful than the fast-paced ORKO-based Arena and Arena Assault. Odin really wants to get as much stats as possible, such Fury, Summoner and Ally supports to add on to his stats. Might as well have fun using Odin and either make sets that are gimmicky or are based on specific team support. Some of the options provided are a bit expensive for theorycrafting purposes, but usually Fury is a fairly cheap stat upgrade for Odin. Level 40 stats: HP: 40/43/46 Atk: 19/22/25 Spd: 29/32/35 Def: 22/25/29 Res: 22/25/29 (Bold means a difference of 4 stats) Total: 147~148 Default skills: Weapon: Blarblade+ Assist: ---- Special: Moonbow Passive A: Defiant Atk 3 Passive B: R Tomebreaker Passive C: ---- Blades of Heroic Blood (Bladetome): Nocturnal Hunting Strike (Blarrowl): My Sword Hand Counters (Close Counter): Dark Raven Retaliation (Blarraven): Aching Blood of an Ylissean Cleric (Support/Healer): Warper Warrior: Panic Strike: Brash and Brazen Body Blow: Dark Dragon Deluge (Anti-Dragon Debuffer):
  3. I've been playing Conquest Hard Classic lately, and I was determined to use Odin because I love the Awakening Trio's characters, and I decided to test how Odin performs when you heart seal him back into Owain (Samurai). For me, this has resulted in a unit that I can quite reliably give a pair up partner to, and then throw him at half of the map and win. I realize that as a mage Odin is objectively bad, but after trying this I honestly think he is supposed to be heart sealed into a samurai. Unless your Corrin can go Samurai/Swordmaster, this would make him one of, if not the, only swordmaster-capable units on the Conquest route. This means Vantage, Astra, Swordfaire, and the (to me) underrated Duelist's Blow. I know that sword-lock is traditionally a not-wanted attribute, but in Conquest a lot of the bosses are either at WT Disadvantage, or neutral WT, so Swordmaster!Odin is a fairly reliable boss-killer too. His personal skill lets you get acceptable amounts of crit from even just a forged Iron/Steel sword, but a forged and properly named Killing Edge gives him enough to crit reliably. Additionally, even though his skill growths don't make it really necessary, starting with Heartseeker lets him hit targets with high avoid in the early levels more easily -- though there aren't a terribly large number of ninjas before he would likely be promoting. I guess what I am posting this for is for discussion on whether or not you think it's worth the early Heart Seal. If you bring it with you to his recruitment chapter, there are a lot of axe-users that he can get easy kills on, but that heart seal might be better used on Corrin? What do you guys think?
  4. Disclaimer: potential FE Awakening AND FE Fates spoilers ahead. So I've been harbouring a crazy conspiracy for a long while that Corrin, through the hardship and suffering in Fire Emblem Fates, becomes the original Grima. And therefore ultimately also eventually becomes Robin as well. That said, I haven't played or completed Conquest or even Revelation. So with that in mind I'm going to share my crazy theory from what I understand now, bookmark this page, and then hide in a bunker until I'm all caught up hehe. And wait with anticipation to read what the FE community will think or say. So... Let the craziness begin! Hoshido and Nohr are considered mythological kingdoms by the time of Awakening. I propose that Corrin's life ends with severe tragedy, which is the cause for Grima's lust for apocalypse for a lack of better words. After the realms of Hoshido and Nohr are brought to ruin, Corrin invades Ylisse as the original Grima. His Risen army; the remnants of his devastated world. Corrin is from a divine bloodline and can transform into a dragon. Grima is a also a humanoid dragon. On top of this, Robin and Corrin are both praised for their tactical prowess. And have white hair. So they share some common traits. Such is the case that Corrin becomes the dark bringer of the apocalypse, that this is the ultimate reasoning behind Selena, Odin and Laslow's appearance in Conquest, as they are on the lookout for Corrin, the progenitor of their realm's doom. And that's all I have now. I appreciate that this is a pretty wild one hehe. I welcome your thoughts.
  5. So am just about to finish getting skills for Odin so which class should it be Sorcerer? or Dark Knight? If I change to Sorcerer I would get the stats Str 25 Mag 37 Ski 37 Spd 36 Lck 35 Max Def 30 Res 23 If Dark Knight I would get the stats Str 33 Mag 34 Max Ski 39 Spd 35 Lck 40 Max Def 33 Res 21 and also which Skill set also his some info Odin married Elise (got all skills) Niles is Odin A+ Partner (Got all Skills) Got all DLC
  6. If Inigo, Severa or Owain are the same people as Laslow, Selena and Odin, then couldn't Morgan and Kana potentially be half-siblings?
  7. I know that a lot of people are either saying that they are hoping that the children or any other character makes a return but I just can't get the idea of them returning out of my head, which is most likely because I loved their development (Mostly) and how truly awesome they are. You see, I can't get all these ideas of how they return out of my head, so I decided to just ask if they are plausible and to actually stop myself from continuing to fixate on the ideas. The first thought I had was that they return as reincarnations, and I know that Rhajat, Asugi and Caelodori were rather cringe-worthy but hear me out, as this idea would allow them to return without story inconvenience as it could easily keep to a vague fates story choice as it could e that as hey are returning home they are ambushed and killed by assassins, and when the odin reincarnation supports with selena's it can go that he keeps having nightmares of being ambushed by scary men and he remembers a red haired girl with him and her getting shot by an arrow and feeling despair and then it goes black. Then I realised that may not be very realistic as in Birthright Laslow dies so it could never be that he was with them. So if they did do a support similar to that it could never be with the laslow reincarnation, unless only it their deaths were from odins view, which in that case if laslow dies after odin it would mean he did not see his death, or of course odin reincarnination in the support says he remembers seeing an arrow going towards someone and jumping in their way. I also like his idea for the reason that they could make a shy laslow who was not told to flirt to get rid of his shyness plus who doesn't want more manhandling moments. Another thought I had was that after they were returning to ylisse, another being transported the three of them to a another new place, but the person says that it was a mistake that the trio was brought here it was supposed to be the children (Purposely Vague) and they being their noble selves take the childrens place thus entering in their 4th war. Also could you tell me if it is plausible or just a horrible idea and you don't want to see any more characters returning and I am being stupid
  8. I've paired Odin with Selena and their supports are very cute and funny, but there's a downside, neither of them seem to particularly benefit statistically and Ophelia's pretty weak too. Would Camilla be a better match during my next playthrough? Ophelia would be able to become a Malig Knight, meaning she'd get to keep her magic abilities and gain decent physical stats too. Plus I think she'd look better with purple hair than red.
  9. Hello Serene Forest! So im almost done with optimization of my game for Revelations, about to go to chapter 13 to get the next wave of characters. (and Keaton) (and Kaden) But I have 8 units left and i'm not sure how to configure them... Heres who I have left paired with who: Odin X Orochi Niles X Setsuna Lazlow X Oboro Takumi X Elise People say its better to put Odin X Elise and Takumi X Oboro, but im not sure since ive been marrying all the royals together... What do you guys thing?
  10. Hello Serenes Forest users In my FE Conquest game I finished pairing everyone together in a optimal and story wise i liked fashion, people say Odin and Elise are a good pair together, and their conversations and age differences aren't weird compared to some but, I want to make them stronger. So heres my struggle: Since Elise married Odin, she can use a Partner seal to change her class to Dark Knight and Sorcerer, which both seem great but im not sure which too choose. Both are better than Strategist. Her rating is 2str 17mag 6skill 16spd 18lck 5def and 19res atm as a level 1 Strategist Odins a whole other story, he is one of my favorite characters and its my third Conquest playthorugh but his magic is very bad compared to the others. I dont know if i should make him a Sorcerer or keep him as a D.K.. Or maybe even Master of Arms or something like that. His rating is 18str 14mag 21skill 14spd 21lck 20def and 12 res as a level 3 DK And for the sake of a strong and high mag stat and continually blonde Ophelia, what would be best out of these options to optimize her? Thanks to anyone who reads this or helps me out, and have a great day!
  11. Ayy, we made it, Week 2! Thanks to the poll I made earlier on, we now have a unit for this week, and is one that I was looking forward to covering, thank god we're doing him early too. Anyway, we have a unit who suffers from frequent muscle spasms in his right hand, known as his Sword..err...Tome Hand, and is one of the most likeable and hilarious units in the two games he is featured in, wait... oops, I meant one game, wait I wonder what mysterious aura overtook me there. Anyway, we have John Cena himself! Oh wait, it's Odin! Odin is one of the two retainers of Prince Leo of Nohr, alongside the slightly sadistic and kinky Niles, and it's hard to tell which one of the two is the least insane. Anyway, Owai-din is a Dark Mage, the first one you get in Nohr in fact, as long as you don't reclass Corrin with a Dark Mage talent the minute you can afford a Heart Seal. Odin has a somewhat over-eccentric personality, having an interest in naming his weapons and charms he casts, and even proclaims himself as Odin Dark. Anyway, let's break down Odin as a unit. Class Sets: ---------------- Base Class Sets: Dark Mage, Samurai Marriage Class Sets: *Female Avatar's Talent*(Corrin), Troubadour(Felicia), Troubadour(Elise), Knight(Effie), Archer(Mozu), Sky Knight(Azura), Outlaw(Nyx), Wyvern Rider(Camilla/Beruka), Mercenary(Selena), Cavalier(Peri), Fighter(Charlotte), Diviner(Orochi)-Revelation Only, Ninja(Kagero)-Revelation Only Buddy Class Sets: Outlaw(Niles), Mercenary(Laslow), Troubadour(Leo), *Nothing*(Hinata)-Revelation Only Personal Skill: Aching Blood- When equipped with a forged weapon whose name is at least 12 characters, Critical rate +10 Base Growth Rates: -------------- HP: 55% Str: 35% Mag: 30% Skill: 55% Speed: 35% Luck: 60% Def: 40% Res: 20% Max Cap Modifiers: -------------- Str: / Mag: +1 Skill: +1 Speed: -1 Luck: +1 Def: / Res: -1
  12. Seeing how the game is soon coming out here in the West I'm starting to take notes on things, like who I want to marry and such. I plan on going with Conquest first, and eventually will marry Luna, Marx, Odin, Effie, Flora and Leon. I haven't looked up things like classes, stats and similar things so I would like some thoughts on those pairings, how to use the kids you get, classes for everybody etc.
  13. Odin. A sorcerer of Nohr; Leos subordinate. His origins and past are a complete mystery. He often speaks in a theatrical fashion, bestows obscure names upon weapons and loves thinking up names for his special moves. The most hot-blooded. [spoiler=Marriage/Buddy Seals] Spoiler (Marriage/Buddy Seals) A Marriage/Buddy seal allows a unit to reclass into one of the select class trees of his spouse (S support) or buddy (A+ support). A unit may only achieve an S support with units of the opposite gender (exc. Kamui, Syalla, Zero), and may only achieve an A+ support with units of the same gender. (The credit for the following information goes to Gayserbeam, as I copied the wording of his explanation. Check out the Class Changing and Inheritance Thread for more information. If the users Primary Class is different than their Spouses/Buddys Primary Class, then the Marriage/Buddy Seal will reclass them to the Spouses/Buddys Primary Class, even if the user has that class as a Secondary Class already. If the users Primary Class is the same as their Spouses/Buddys Primary Class, then the Marriage/Buddy Seal will reclass them to the Spouses/Buddys Secondary Class. If the user is married or buddied with a unit who has an unlearnable class, then the Marriage/Buddy Seal will reclass them to the Spouses/Buddys Secondary Class. An unlearnable class is a class that may be unique to a character or their children. The following units have unlearnable classes: Nishiki (Fox Spirit), Flannel (Garou), Azura (Singer), Mozume (Villager). If the user is married or buddied with a unit who has an unlearnable class, and their Primary Class is the same as their Spouses/Buddys Secondary Class, then the Marriage/Buddy Seal will reclass them to the Spouses/Buddys Substitute Class. A Substitute Class is simply a select class a character with an unlearnable class passes down under certain circumstances. The following units have Substitute Classes: Nishiki (Herb Merchant), Flannel (Outlaw), Azura (Rod Knight), Mozume (Herb Merchant). If youre still confused, let me use Odin as an example to try and clarify matters! Odin/Elise: Odin's Primary Class is Dark Mage, and Elise's is Rod Knight. Therefore, Odin would Marriage Seal into Rod Knight.Odin/Hinata: Odin's Primary Class is Dark Mage, and Hinata's is Samurai. Therefore, Odin would Buddy Seal into Samurai. As Odin's Secondary Class is Samurai, he would not receive a new class tree from Hinata. Odin/Nyx: Odin's Primary Class is Dark Mage, and Nyx's is Dark Mage. Therefore, Odin would Marriage Seal into Nyx's Secondary Class-- Outlaw. Odin/Mozume: As Mozume's Primary Class is Villager, an unlearnable class, Odin would Marriage Seal into her Secondary Class-- Bowman. Odin/Dark Mage!Avatar: Avatar's Primary Class is Nohr Princess, an unlearnable class. Odin's Primary Class is Dark Mage, and Avatar's Secondary Class is Dark Mage. Therefore, Odin would Marriage Seal into her Substitute Class-- Spellcaster. 14. If Zero get's an A+ support with Odin does he get the samurai class line? I just wanted to double check because I've got my Zero character break down pretty much done apart from the buddy seal.
  15. (if tl:dr, then just read the rules, pros, cons of each ruleset and then vote) I have created 3 distinct PvP rules that are appealing to most individuals. If anyone wants to give feedback, I encourage them to post below. I will only change a rule in each ruleset if someone proves that specific rule is outright toxic, useless, or needs tweaking. No Rules(Maximizes Freedom) 1) No Rules. Just like it states, there are no limitations. Most people will probably use these rules just cause they are the simplest and anything is allowed. In a meta like this, everyone has the capability to ORKO through damage, skills, lethality, criticals, and copycat shenanigans and tanking isn't even possible other than the General taking two rounds instead of one like other units. Pros: Simple Rules. Fast matches. Doesn't interfere with single player options. Cons: Unbalanced. Favors aggro way too much. The game becomes a movement war. Balanced(Maximizes Player Interaction) 1) No Boots. 2) No Forged Weapons. 3) No Copycat. 4) No Brave Weapons. Alright, so I just need to say it. Brave weapons break the game by allowing good sets to be broken sets. You can ORKO every unit not specifically made to counteract Brave Weapon ORKOs. This limits options and favors just ORKOing instead of trying to interact with the opponent, but you don't want to get rid of all these lovely options(well except Copycat, that's broken by itself). Instead, you just get rid of what they all have in common. For those that are worried, you can still ORKO even generals, but specific builds are needed and these builds have counters. This allows you to use tanky classes to well.... tank. And yes, Lightning(the tome) isn't banned. This gives mages a favorable niche while not making them overpowered(as they are quite squishy and Lightning is quite weak without being able to forge). You can still counteract this strategy with the right build. Forged weapons are banned for a couple reasons. A) You aren't favoring player interaction by encouraging them to grind just to keep up with others. B) There is absolutely no opportunity cost to forging except time. Forged weapons are strictly better than unforged. C) They push critical builds over the top. They will start ORKOing too many units with even limited forged weapon. Boots are banned for very similar reasons. A) It's just favorable to have more boots, which isn't adding to player interaction. B) Boots affect different classes(and characters), well, differently. Flying units(and Takumi) are favored to use boots more than non-flying. Finally Copycat is broken, It's a free action somewhere else on the map. Allowing copycat is saying you require every character to have copycat, and that adds nothing to the game. Pros: Simple rules. Balanced Gameplay. Aggro and Defensive Play are equal in power. Cons: Can't use a few of the fun options. Games may take longer than you like. Interferes with how you play single player. And the final Ruleset: Odin's Sphere(Maximizes Interest) 1) One Boot per team allowed. 2) Forged Weapons only allowed to +1. 3) Copycat restricted to one unit. 4) Only one Brave Weapon(can be +1) per team allowed. So, you want broken stuff but still want balance(and maybe you want Odin's ability to actually do something in a semi balanced environment), then these are the rules for you. Sure you can ORKO like before with one unit, but it's painting a giant target on that unit's back. These rules give boots, copycat, and brave weapons an opportunity cost when attaching them to a unit, but still allows you to use them. Pros: Semi balanced gameplay. Favors Aggro, but defensive play is still a good option. Favors a faster paced match. Cons: Rules are somewhat complicated in comparison. Interferes with single player slightly.
  16. I hope putting spoilers in the title will be enough and totally because I don't know how to do the ''spoiler box''. Feel free to tell me if I did something wrong. Ok so the main topic (spoilers) Now that we know that Odin, Lazward and Luna are in reality Owain, Inigo and Severa of Awakening, there is something I was wondering about. If they are the same that returned to the past and joined Chrom's army for fighting Grima. ... Does that mean we have canon couples for this 3 children? I'm surprised nobody talked about it. Maybe because everyone is so busy because of Fates (or maybe I missed a old topic and the first moderator who will read this topic will delete it in less than 5 minutes xD). Ok so let me explain because I never really talk about what is canon and I'm sure I can be extremely wrong about this or this will not end well. I read that Sumia could be the canon mother of Lucina because she was in the opening cutscene of Awakening. For me, something is cannon when it's appear elsewhere that the game that gives you multiple choices. (I can be wrong). Of course, in that case, it's still in the game and it was never announced but it can be a proof. But let go back to Odin, Lazward and Luna. Shall we? Of course, Fate is a different game so if my theory (if we can call that a thoery) make sense. This mean their appearance in this game is canon. In their ''artworks'', Odin has blond hair (well more darker than Benoit), Lazward has Brown hair and Severa had red hair. Here are the fathers that could be theirs: Odin (Owain): Vaike, Libra or Avatar with either Hair color 07 or 17 Lazward (Inigo): Stahl, Frederick or Avatar with Hair color 10 Luna (Severa): Gregor or Avatar with Hair color 02 They are some that are alike (Avatar with Hair color 10 is extremely close, almost exacly like the artwork of Lazward) and some are not. I'm not trying to start a war or something. So do not take this too seriously. I just want the opinion of everyone.
  17. Like, are they actually from the Future Past DLC that the Shepards of our timeline went to save from Grima, instead of the same children who appear in FE Awakening timeline that we played? That's what I'd like to think anyways.
