  1. Owain is my favorite Fire Emblem character alongside Ike. He is a very well written character for someone who is considered comic relief. His character revolves around him putting on a facade of an eccentric hero (chosen hero by fate and the sort). He does this to mask the trauma and anguish he feels of losing his parents and to put on a brave face for his comrades and make them feel better. It's cool to see a game go into the psychological aspect of a character while also making it their trait that makes them stand out. Owain can be hilairous and silly but he can also be romantic and sensitive too. He has hope that they truly can change the future of the time that has not been affected by Grima yet. It would be amazing to see an anime about Owain in particular. He is just so interesting and gives off the same vibe Steins Gate's Okabe Rintarou (Hyouin Kyouma) does, being over top and eccentric but also dramatic and deep as a character. The supports I particularly like are his Severa/Selena, Inigo/Laslow, Morgan, Lucina, Ophelia, Leo supports. I ship him with Severa in particular because I find it hilairous and sweet how someone like Owain, with his chuunibyou tendencies can win over a tsundere like Severa's heart. (Also because their dynamic is practically Okabe and Makise from Steins Gate in a way lol). I like the awakening trio's dynamic, they are immature and clearly dealing with their trauma rough in awakening, but you see them grow and develop in fates and change for the better. (Owain still has his quirks, even moreso tbh, but that's beside the point). I love that its revealed that Severa named her weapon after Owain since the beginning because he was always special to her. I love the fact that in Odin's S support, he mans up like a true man and tells the woman he loves how he feels (a lot of men can learn from him). His bromance with Inigo is hilarious. I love how Inigo is such a bully to Owain but then they eventually become best friends by Fates. You clearly see their bond in Fates and how long they have been friends. This all leads to their dlc paralogue in Fates (which I'm so happy they did and I would have wished it became its own side story game at one point or even anime OVA because they have such a wonderful dynamic.) Now I understand that the story of the dlc is dragged down by Fates writing. But if we are talking about just the interactions alone shared by these 3, it's surprisngly believable and well written. I enjoyed the paralogue so much in fact, that it made me want this dream of having an OVA of these 3 guys to become a reality. It just surprised me to have me fall in love with these characters (especially Owain) that were just side characters in their respective games. It's great. I married Lissa to my Avatar, so Owain is my son. Which means I got to see the wonderful sibling support with Owain and Morgan which is very well done as well. They feel like true siblings and I like seeing Owain in a big brother role, it shows he takes responsibilty for his family (as they are the only survivors of their own) and that he truly cares for his sister and will protect her at any cost. Lastly is his wonderful support with his very own daughter, Ophelia. His daughter is literally the splitting image of his mother in looks and splitting image of him in personality. It's so entertaining to see these two together and play in this eccentric fantasy they created. In Ophelia's case, though less reason being of a trauma, but moreso as just being chuunibyou in general (probably due to Odin's influence). She wants to become a "Chosen One" like her father, as that is the title their family strives for some reason. By the A support, a rare side of wisdom is shown from Odin. He tells Ophelia that all that stuff about chosen ones is nonsense. To Ophelia's surprise, she is disheartened by the news. But, Odin reveals it does not matter because she carries the blood of his mother, one of a legendary hero, and a father who died saving his life. He goes on and tells Ophelia, that she can be proud of who her ancestors were but that she isn't chosen for the same role, such as he. His message basically states its okay to be a side character but sometimes, the side ensemble is what makes the main heroes shine brigther. "A strong side ensemble ensures that the star shines brightest of all". I found this line particuarly touching and deep. And I won't lie, even teared up by the end of the support. It doesn't matter if you are paritcualrly special or talented. What matters is that you can help someone that IS, and your wisdom and help can aid someone that can do something great for the world. And knowing you were apart of their journey and growth makes it all the reason worth in doing your part. Because you were the one to help them shine brightest of all. You were their Chosen Ones. Thank you for reading my thread. It got a little philosphical there at the end but I guess I just like to take something special and meaningful out of the things I consume from video games. I believe that's a good trait to have though. Let me know your guys' thoughts on Owain and why he is OUR Chosen One ❤
  2. Hello. I'm kind of new here and been having a bit too much fun here so far (Flame Emperor disapproves of this statement) Anyway. I want to make some FE friends. Anyone want to follow eachother and talk about fire emblem in general? The more friends, the merrier. Let us join in hand as companions!! Comrade in arms!! I also have a YT channel of me doing FE content, it would be cool if some FE fans joined my audience. I want to discuss the series more and more but not many of my audience are FE fans when I started doing it recently. So if you are interested in that, you can find it on my profile. Let's talk. Let's talk about why Owain is amazing. Let's talk about waifus and let's have fun!! 😁
  3. Hello everyone. I am The ChoZen One. I am a youtuber who's known for his Nintendo and Shantae content. I always been a big fan of fire emblem since my brother got into the series with Sacred Stones he gotten through the 3DS Ambassador Program. And I started my journey with Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright years later. I have played many of games and love every single one of them thus far. My favorite being Three Houses and Path of Radiance in particular. I have yet to play the japan only ones but I have played every single US released FE outside me haven't yet completed Shadow Dragon and Radiant Dawn. I personally may want to wait for Geneology to get a remake to play it but we'll see. I plan to make content on fire emblem soon and do some interesting playthroughs (playing on hardest difficulty) and such. I will stream a Golden Deer playthrough on Maddening for the first time ever soon!! This may be the hardest difficulty I ever attempted since Conquest Hard as I never played the hardest difficulty before outside Sacred Stones since I knew it was one of the easier games in the series. I plan to make my content more catered towards the casual side of FE players despite me learning so much about the techniques used when trying to play as effficient and viable as possible, so I figured it would be fun to see this slightly casual playet attempt such a hard difficulty. I would like to make top tens and such someday when I get the chance amd hope to entertain anyone interested. I personally love to discuss the stories and characters of the fire emblem world and explore their relationships with eachother. Im super into supports and analyzing characters as much as possible, so I hope to have some fun discussing with you all!! If you are interested in my future journey with fire emblem on my channel. You can find my Youtube here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5aOs8evzaBieb_2QnAHhAg My Favorite character is Owain because he calls himself the Chosen One and his silly antics are hialirous to me but I love that he has an actual tragic reason behind all that that really makes me care and empathize with him. His relationship with Severa, Inigo is also really well done and I adore the trio a lot. Ike is also tied with him as I feel he is the best written character in the series. Ike is just a fantastic character overall!! Also I adore Hapi and Lissa. They are my top waifus of FE and are great characters!!
  4. Is this a sign that a Fire Emblem X Pokemon crossover will happen in the future? Or they could consider hiring Fire Emblem voice actors for a future Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game with voice acting?
  5. Disclaimer: potential FE Awakening AND FE Fates spoilers ahead. So I've been harbouring a crazy conspiracy for a long while that Corrin, through the hardship and suffering in Fire Emblem Fates, becomes the original Grima. And therefore ultimately also eventually becomes Robin as well. That said, I haven't played or completed Conquest or even Revelation. So with that in mind I'm going to share my crazy theory from what I understand now, bookmark this page, and then hide in a bunker until I'm all caught up hehe. And wait with anticipation to read what the FE community will think or say. So... Let the craziness begin! Hoshido and Nohr are considered mythological kingdoms by the time of Awakening. I propose that Corrin's life ends with severe tragedy, which is the cause for Grima's lust for apocalypse for a lack of better words. After the realms of Hoshido and Nohr are brought to ruin, Corrin invades Ylisse as the original Grima. His Risen army; the remnants of his devastated world. Corrin is from a divine bloodline and can transform into a dragon. Grima is a also a humanoid dragon. On top of this, Robin and Corrin are both praised for their tactical prowess. And have white hair. So they share some common traits. Such is the case that Corrin becomes the dark bringer of the apocalypse, that this is the ultimate reasoning behind Selena, Odin and Laslow's appearance in Conquest, as they are on the lookout for Corrin, the progenitor of their realm's doom. And that's all I have now. I appreciate that this is a pretty wild one hehe. I welcome your thoughts.

  7. If Inigo, Severa or Owain are the same people as Laslow, Selena and Odin, then couldn't Morgan and Kana potentially be half-siblings?
  8. I know that a lot of people are either saying that they are hoping that the children or any other character makes a return but I just can't get the idea of them returning out of my head, which is most likely because I loved their development (Mostly) and how truly awesome they are. You see, I can't get all these ideas of how they return out of my head, so I decided to just ask if they are plausible and to actually stop myself from continuing to fixate on the ideas. The first thought I had was that they return as reincarnations, and I know that Rhajat, Asugi and Caelodori were rather cringe-worthy but hear me out, as this idea would allow them to return without story inconvenience as it could easily keep to a vague fates story choice as it could e that as hey are returning home they are ambushed and killed by assassins, and when the odin reincarnation supports with selena's it can go that he keeps having nightmares of being ambushed by scary men and he remembers a red haired girl with him and her getting shot by an arrow and feeling despair and then it goes black. Then I realised that may not be very realistic as in Birthright Laslow dies so it could never be that he was with them. So if they did do a support similar to that it could never be with the laslow reincarnation, unless only it their deaths were from odins view, which in that case if laslow dies after odin it would mean he did not see his death, or of course odin reincarnination in the support says he remembers seeing an arrow going towards someone and jumping in their way. I also like his idea for the reason that they could make a shy laslow who was not told to flirt to get rid of his shyness plus who doesn't want more manhandling moments. Another thought I had was that after they were returning to ylisse, another being transported the three of them to a another new place, but the person says that it was a mistake that the trio was brought here it was supposed to be the children (Purposely Vague) and they being their noble selves take the childrens place thus entering in their 4th war. Also could you tell me if it is plausible or just a horrible idea and you don't want to see any more characters returning and I am being stupid
  9. Now Fates is far from the first game to pull characters from a previous FE, but with it bringing back Inigo, Severa, Owain and in a loose way bringing back Cordelia, Tharja and Gaius through reincarnation of sorts. Despite there being zero connection between Awakening & Fates other than the Gate being a connection to the various universes, which is very unlike the other times characters appeared in other games, which was usually due to them being sequels in universe with other FE's etc. Are we to expect to see the same thing in FE15? Where they take the most popular Fates characters and rehash them/further develop them despite them not fitting in whatsoever? Figured it could be an interesting discussion topic, as I would only like to see characters from Fates come back as like some kind of bonus at most, and not like how Inigo, Severa and Owain did. Although Inigo is one of my favorite characters in both games, it almost feels like IS wants to make sure people recognize that Fates is in the same franchise as Awakening despite sharing a franchise name, they seem afraid of trying to let a game stand on its own now. Despite the fact that, the gameplay is very stellar, a massive improvement over Awakening, unless its Revelation, but thats another deal entirely.
  10. Hey, fam. I'm an artist and cosplayer looking for some people to cry about Fates and Awakening with. Love you. Xoxo.
